Total respect for even going out in that - it looked marginal for an attempt but I'm sure it's hard to turn down your chance when it comes and hope for another slot/tide, especially when you're visiting from overseas. Beautiful honest account of a champion effort, don't ever think of going out in that sea as a failure. Next time you'll nail it.
Mate i know ive never meet you but this video made me cry seeing what you went through. TRUST ME i know what you went through i made it across on saturday the 24th in 18 hours and 48 minets but i did it in a wetsuit. I had cramp half way through and have never felt so much pain before and by watching you swim you looked very strong and i hope you come back again to finsh what you started. Better luck next time mate!
Gotta admire his grit and determination here. Swimming through some of those waves and kept going. That man doesn't know when he's beat. No one could have kept that going. Always remember - You're not as strong as the sea.
Tough swim. Taking some electrolytes will help prevent cramps. I like a product called "Lava Salt" there are others too. I used them in 2011 when I swam the Channel. Your a good swimmer, and I think when you dial in your nutrition plan a little better you'll make it!
I have taken that but it didnt realy work it just made my cramps a little less painful. If you have bad cramps like i get when i swim i was told to go and see a nutritionist but i was just told to strectch more and have foods that are high in potassium but even know i did this i still got cramp just like this guy half way through my swim and was so much pain i was crying (not ashamed to admit that) but i still made it. you swam the channel in 2011, so did I.
omg, I wanted to get sick watching it. I wouldn't have wanted to be on the boat either, looked like being in a wash machine. Congrats, for getting that far.

Ever tried again?
No one could have swam the Channel in those very difficult circumstances.
why not swim starting in the morning?
because it needs to be synchronized with the tide.
Is that Steve jobs
Inspirational.
He don't have to swim in an ocean like this this was a mistake from his team work
He must wait to another day
"Balls of steel"
The condition was not good otherwise he would have made it.
