Shenmue was an unforgettable experience which touched so many gamers in a way that so few games ever manage to even come close to.
The genius behind this game contributed to so much of gaming collective heritage that I believe it's criminal that Yu Suzuki is not regarded by the mainstream as an equally important figure as Shigeru Miyamoto.
And I would have smashed Nozomi's back doors in.

This game still looks great. Compare this to the PS2 games of before. All it needs is retexturing and dynamic lighting, it'll still stand up today.
In the beginning of watching this vid my thoughts drifted off to how much graphics have advanced in 15 years time. Then the Chinese violins seeped in and waves of goosebumps reminded me of how incredible much I love these games, and to be alive for that matter.

I adored shenmue and have never forgotten it and despite not being a real gamer anymore this is the game shenmue 3 that would get me back...
I didn't own a DC so I never experienced this game but of course heard of how legendary it is, and this tribute makes it look so epic. I know SEGA lost a lot of money from this project but I hope some logical business sense says that a continuation occurs in some form at least in a book to end the saga (well begin for me since I haven't consumed any Shenmue at this point).
Most beautiful game ever made, it's just a shame that no videogames "journalist " or any publishers are interested in make evolve the end of this AWESOME game..

Nice Shenmue tribute video. After 15 years of traveling Ryo still hasn't gotten his revenge against Lan Di which am still waiting for the moment Ryo does the final blow to defeat Lan Di. If they don't make Shenmue 3 to finish off the story then we gamers did all that traveling with Ryo Hazuki for nothing.

This game seemed so ahead of its time though it seems dated now......but still looks awesome. i just want a HD collection so I can experience this with updated controls, animation, character models, lighting , textures and so on and it would feel right at home with all the new open world games of today. And coz i wanna finally play this game.

Mos Def We Want a Shenmue 3, especially how Technology has advance since the the good ole daes of the Beloved Sega DreamCast, Of Course i must say that it was one of the most underrated Game counsels of the 20th century. I had one and lost it 4 years ago seeing this makes me want to go Buy One, i believe i still have the controllers, Memory Sticks & The Shenmue Game Lol

Hey DCTube, which version of nulldc is best for Shenmue when it comes to widescreen, antialiasing and smoothness, I've been thinking about having another go.
Is this game running natively at 60 FPS on an emulator? Or was the video sped up? Also which emulator did you use to get perfect widescreen mode? I tried it with nullDC but shadows and some textures were buggy.
The Arab Gamer 60fps was done by postprocessing using various tools. Check this to have an idea of how this works: www.svp-team.com/ And I used some resolution tricks to have full widescreen during video capture.
Seriously i don't understand why they don't do a remake.
Don't change the game just do an unpdate with Unity 5 and after that make Shenmue 3.
And don't make some exclu, make it on every support

I am stuck since there seems to be a glitch in room 902. I am not able to turn the light on, and when once I was able to turn the light on, I was not able to interact with any of the objects in the room; thus, I was not able to leave the room or find a clue to continue the story. I am playing this in one of the newest xbox 360, and as I remember, I was able to finish this game while I play it in the original xbox and later in the launch xbox 360 (white color), but this new black xbox 360 seems to have a few glitches on this game. Thanks.

Esppiral V Honestly look at this video lol. You surely don't think the Dreamcast can do 1080p like this video shows? Look how clear everything is. It is done on a PC. He even gives his PC specs in the description.
Go look for NullDC, the best Dreamcast emulator for computers.
BFKAnthony817 errrr.... I know this is taken from nulldc... I am asking how he manage to make the game run at 60fps the game runs at 30fps natively...also the best emulator for dreamcast is Demul ;)
Esppiral V I think I have to agree with you there, but on Shenmue dojo they have custom builds of NullDC with fixes for Shenmue, and they never post about Demul. Also Demul is kind of hard to set up for basic users sometimes. So that is why I suggested NullDC cause it is easier to get up and running in most peoples experiance.
