- Canadian band As The Structure Fails release "Purgatory (feat Brook Reeves of Impending Doom)" off of their 2018 self titled album "As the Structure Fails". The video portrays a man who has performed horrendous acts of violence. He struggles with his demons until he circums to his sentencing.

As The Structure Fails originally started in 2009 and in 2014 brothers Carter and Kyle Laird joined as the vocalists. The group are not only bandmates but family. This aspect of family was important when drummer Kyle Clarke underwent multiple brain surgeries for a life-threatening diagnosis called Arteriovenous Malformation which he had been battling since he was a child. The band put all music projects on hold in order to support him. Although this was a difficult period for them all, as of 2016 Kyle made a full recovery. This struggle has created an outlook of thankfulness that has reinforced the friendship and music of the band.
As of August 2018 they released their latest full-length album collaborating on their song "Purgatory" which features Brook Reeves of Impending Doom. The album focuses on topics such as damaged relationships ("Undesired"), addiction ("The Fix"), and the immoral habits of our culture
The band is continuing to create a sound that relies on heavy technical playing, but at the same time keeping catchy rhythms and choruses at the forefront of their sound. Carter and Kyle Laird are unique in comparison to other double fronted bands as they are biological brothers.

I liked this. A lot. And im not a big deathcore fan with the exception of a very few exceptional band. In my humble opinion, if you added jist a few melodic or harmonic lead guitar rifs over your rythym guitar, you guys would be complete. Just my thoughts. Aweaome work!

It's odd how the "featuring" system works in UA-cam. You can lend your voice, music, mixing, blending, whatever to a song and not be referenced in the slightest. You can also give any one of those things and be featured. Brook isn't even in this video but is featured, and I can somewhat tell when his lines kick in.

Some members of the band are Christian and the guest vocalist is a strong Christian! God is real and Alive! He uses anybody he can to further his kingdom, yes even a Christian Death Metal Singer. People in the Metal/Metalcore scene need to hear to gospel and it’s amazing how God can do that!
