I am an alumni of UMD College Park (UMCP) CS program. Graduated in 1992. I am from Mumbai. Great to see so many Indian students at UMCP CS program. BTW, the mascot, is called Testudo. It is a land turtle. Glad to see the drive and motivation from all of you.!!! The AV Williams building was the "new" building when I joined UMCP in 1987. One of my friends at UMCP CS program was Naresh Gupta who has been highlighted as a prominent alumni.

@@pigeonsarestupid5199 I don't know first hand because I went straight into information science. I just know a lot of the people I met had transferred from CS. There are a couple intro CS classes they make hard on purpose to weed people out.

Major factor toh ye sab ladke batana hi bhool gaye ki why they got accepted to UMD because they can pay their fees without any scholarships or loan. Haan kabhi kabhi main point toh batana bhool jaate hai loog 😅

So they paid $50k for 1yr tuition fee, considering the whole degree, it would take $200k for 4yr degree and that's only tuition, dorms+living cost etc{fee=$300k} 😅😅, it's too much for someone in Middle/Upper Middle Class, damn that's like 2.2Cr, and avg package for CSE in UMD is $50K, so it would take around 6yrs to come outta that much fee "IF ALL GOES WELL"(acceptance rate is 30-40% 🤷, IITs have 0.7-1% 😅)
Baaat toh sahi hai aur bhai iit me toh maximum 15000$ me ho jata hai upar se apne country me hi hai may be State me bhi ho
avg 50k nahi hai bro around 70-80k$ hai and ye to carrer ke starting ki salary hai 2-3 saal mein badh jaayegi plus yearly bonuses bhi hote hai.
And bhai 2 crore rs dere hai inke ghar waale tumko kya lagta hai unko paiso ki tension hogi?
Mere cousin gaye hue hai usa, ye ameero ko bacche hote hai inke ghar waale crores mein kamate hai.
