- Most rap beefs almost always degenerate from light grievances into name calling, musical disses and clowning on social media.
Apart from bruised egos, rap beefs rarely cause any lasting damage to the musical careers or reputations of the feuding parties.
On rare cases however, when beefs get really heated and personal, the careers of the deemed looser is negatively impacted.
It is even worse when the deemed loser is the one who started the beef. This situation has been known to sometimes lead to outright musical career extinction.

Cardi B's rise will be the ultimate end of Nicki Minaj, simply because she basically is the younger version of Nicki. We all saw how Nicki vs Lil Kim went (Nicki was the younger Kim). Shether just expedited the situation. Alot. Remy's career won't change.
Meek Mill vs Drake is kinda like 2 men fighting and the loser gets one good shot in before going down....but then the winner loses his next fight (Pusha T) because someone exploited the damage from the last fight on top of the new damage (Deadbeat allegations)
Rick Ross took more immediate damage, but 50 Cent exposing Ross' BM backfired when she sued him for $7 million. Rick Ross didn't defeat 50, but he survived him.
Ja Rule was defeated by a combination of the Murder Inc Fed charges, the entire G-Unit/Shady/Aftermath coming for him, and simple fan fickleness. Ja Rule was one of the hottest rappers in the game right before 50 blew up. Em or 50 could have beaten Ja alone, but the utter destruction of Ja Rule's relevance was multi faceted.

Rap music nowadays is mostly a joke with exception to a few that are REAL.
" Hit 'em Up" still is one of the most personal and crushing diss tracks of all time. "Who shot ya?" Is a big question mark diss track. lil'Cease still insists that song was written way before PAC was shot at that recording studio. Knowing that PAC felt the song WAS about his shooting, its wasnt necessarily WHAT the song said, but more so WHEN it was released. Biggie knew that putting the song out when they did it was gonna create a big stink in the West Coast's camp. So was it the TIMING of the song that was more of an insult, more than the words.
Rap makes me laugh these days..you can't even understand what half these guys are saying with that Mumble Crap Rap! Its all the same just about, you watch the videos and its all girls with their big fat butts shaking in your face, money flying everywhere with vocals that are just plain stupid that it hurts your ears trying to figure out WTF is being said.
