I got my license three weeks before tu,n came out and like this has been my reality
I needed this. God I’m so needy.
this is making me picture a girl who just argued with her boyfriend so she just stormed out his house and drove off. then it started raining and she really needed someone to talk to but she realized she’s in a fight with her friends so she can’t talk to them about it. she can’t even talk to her mother about this because her mother doesn’t support their relationship.
also, the instrumental sounds like the noise the car makes when ur seatbelt isn’t clicked in and it fits so well with the scenario of driving in the rain,??
imagine this: it’s a gloomy sunday afternoon and it’s pouring very loudly. you’re quickly making your way over to your car, barley getting off of work. so far it’s been a rough week and to top it off, you had recently broke up with your significant other after a year. once you step foot into your car, you burst into tears and turn on it. ari’s singing voice is softly audible through the car’s speakers. without hesitation, you decide to message one of your close friends and tell them about your current situation. after a minute or so, they message back asking what happened and from there on you tell them everything. you then drop your phone onto your lap while driving away from your workplace. as you keep your eyes focused on the road, your mind is flooded with thoughts. the feeling of emptiness and pain slowly shatters them. suddenly, your eyes begin to blur with tears as you let out a small shriek. you couldn’t bear the ache in your heart. you felt as if you weren’t meant to be here any longer, as if no one ever wanted you. the dimness of a red stoplight causes you to come to a complete halt. just as you wiped your tears away, your phone vibrates up with a notification. your friend had messaged you back. you quickly reply, proceeding to vent your feelings. they quickly send you heart-warming messages, telling you and reminding you that you are truly loved and that you are very much needed. meanwhile your friend keeps sending you kind texts, the stoplight eventually switches to a familiar bright green. a smile forms across your lips while you reminisce about what your dearest friend told you. you sigh and take a deep breath, knowing even though today was a bad day, tomorrow will definitely be better.
