This is the perfect mood for this song. This song/album came out my senior year of high school and every time I hear this song it takes me back. It takes me back to sitting in my car with my best friend smoking and talking about the future and what life would hold for us. We would always have funny moments but really heartfelt deep talks. We had so many plans for after high school. So many adventures planned that would never see the light of day. We used to think our little problems were world ending but looking back it’s so funny to think we stressed about those things. Nothing could ever beat those nights me and him sitting around in the car with Jocelyn Flores and the whole album with some Redbone and Outkast playing. The nights when it rained really made the vibe next level. A lot has changed since then he has a kid now and we haven’t really talked in over a year now. Honestly as I type this it blows my mind thinking it’s been that long. I miss the adventures we had at C’s house in the backyard and basement. I miss running around the abandoned college. I miss the burnouts in the work parking lot. I miss my best friend my brother. It’s been almost two years since we last hung out together and smoked. It’s crazy how music is like a time machine. When this comes on I swear the present fades into the past and I’m right there by him. I would give anything and I truly mean anything to pull up outside that house late at night have him run out hop in the car for our nightly session. I know he will never read this but I love you brother and I’m sorry I was how I was.

This guys helped through some tough shit. Imagine being the small kid that couldn’t do anything and just listened to shouting and screaming from the other room, while wiping your tears away. Imagine moving to a totally different place to try run away from that but the situation just stays the same. Going out and probably drink something just to forget. This is what my life has been and X helped me a shit ton. I’ll make everyone that I can smile, and I’m going to give only love, something which personally I didn’t get.
