- Stereo premiere! Over 100 years ago, Jerome Kern, P.G. Wodehouse, and Guy Bolton predicted Shelter in Place with the reassuring song "Till the Clouds Roll By", performed here by Ray McDonald and June Allyson in the 1946 film of the same name. I had to do a ton of work to improve the audio - how does it sound?
Jerome Kern was a genius song composer.
One of my dad’s favourite films - he and mum loved that dance sequence
He passed away at 95 this year and miss him and mum so much
So many happy memories of watching the old films with them xx
There's something wistful about this number which brings a tear to my eyes. Something unexplainable.
I agree fully! I always thought it was just me😊
I think this beautiful song reminds one of happier times, and our loved ones.
❤❤❤❤❤.
Yes, the words are heartfelt, it's comforting, and it's beautifully performed.
You are so right!
This dancing in the rain 🌧️ is much better than singing in the rain dance sequence just love this routine and the music 🎶🎵
What a treat. A wonderful film, wonderful cast and choreography.
Thank you so much for uploading this classic.
❤❤❤❤❤.
MGM at its zenith
Oh, the rain comes a pitter, patter,
And I'd like to be safe in bed.
Skies are weeping, while the world is sleeping,
Trouble heaping on our head.
It is vain to remain and chatter,
And to wait for a clearer sky,
Helter skelter, I must fly for shelter
Till the clouds roll by.
That was a great movie
Just what we need these days.
Aqui no Brasil, em pleno ano de 2022 e eu me maravilhando com essa música. Um clássico!!
I'm in England and I just love this dance sequence and the music 🎶🎵 also 👍
Marcos Peretta,
Oh, the rain comes a pitter, patter,
And I'd like to be safe in bed.
Skies are weeping, while the world is sleeping,
Trouble heaping on our head.
It is vain to remain and chatter,
And to wait for a clearer sky,
Helter skelter, I must fly for shelter
Till the clouds rolo by.

@@mperetta39 Sim, estou.
sounds great are you gonna do the entire soundtrack in stereo i would love it!!!!
Thanks, but it doesn't exist. Only a couple of numbers, and I think the others are already on UA-cam.
Sounds great! Where did you get this track?
From the MGM Composers Collection
i have this dvd🎼🎭💚💜💙
The picture quality is better, the sound quality is not. The monotone version over the "stereo" version sounds better.
This is not "stereo" - it is true stereo.
@@boinx1234 Sounds phony to me
@@KennethSloan It is true stereo, as released by Rhino Records.
Iconic 😍❤️
No wonder MGM top brass rejected Junie for the role eventually played by Debbie Reynolds in `Singin` in the Rain`.
The audio sounds great. Unfortunately, it becomes clearer that perhaps Ray McDonald could have used a voice double!
Barry Stealey I like his voice
He was clearly hired for his dancing, not his singing!
Art Smith I only said, “perhaps.” 😉
His dancing in Good News is fantastic. Unfortunately, his singing sounds like Fred Allen's singing. This entire number is reminiscent of the 1940's, whereas the 1950s brought a sea change in dancing style. And Gene Kelly could sing.
