As an ex-Police Accident Investigator and Cop I can safely say Barrow has never had a turn out like that for anything!!! And I was on duty when Princes Diana came to town. The sight of the bikes was mind-blowing , the goodwill flowing through the town was palpable , it was electric. Cumbria Police estimated 40,000 bikes . They made NO arrests. Just brilliant. Thank you for being one of the many. Dave would have been blown away with the love.
we joined on to your group at Hexham, I have to say it was the most exhilarating and emotional days I've ever had on 2 wheels. The crowds along the way were immense. A very proud feeling to be part of something so momentous, I don't think the likes of which will ever be seen again. It just shows the power of the biking community to come together in such numbers, 46000 bikes descending on a small town like Barrow. Tremendous and humbling.
Thanks for the upload, sadly due to family commitments I could not make it ,I'm not quite a biker ,,,,,,,yet😊 been a pillion for years with my best buddy, this turn out does nothing but encourage me to be a member of the motorcycle scene,40,000 people not one bit of trouble is almost unbelievable, what a great day to be English ❤❤
Sorry you couldn't be there in person but it sounds like you were there in spirit. We may look scary to some but we are a great community of people who just love bikes and bikers
Fantastic ride for Dave, didn’t make myself but my brother in law was there. Not sure how many some reports say 16000 others 25000, however many thousands it was a great turnout👍
That would be a nice thing to do but it would not get the same attendance and it would dwindle down each year. This was special and although I would willing do it again to remember Dave I think it is more special being a one off.
Yes you're absolutely right, what struck me watching the vids of the participants and public was the wonderful expression of all that's good in life..the difference of being humane and not just human, as someone just said earlier " it restores your faith in humanity ". Wouldn't it be great to have a collective bike run celebrating what life and freedom should be without any political/protest associations

I think the official figure was just over 46000. Amazing sign of respect for Dave.
@@upnorthbiker yes I heard that after I wrote the comment, and wow that’s a lot but great to hear.
Can't beat Unity
Should be made an annual event from now on
