Wow my biggest criticism of those episode is that I felt the ost wasn’t the best choice and I thought it would have been better if they chose what they had when his mom was being eaten but that’s pretty cool.
Eren (4x20) : “Rather than letting someone steal my freedom, I'll steal theirs first.” The shot of Eren getting carried away from his mom getting eaten, to then transition to his founding titan marching on Marley, is phenomenal. To imagine that that little kid now has all this power. I get goosebumps.

And according to the tarot card it suggests ultimate surrender, sacrifice, or being suspended in time. So maybe Eren does pull a Lelouch. Or it could just be symbolism of a puppet master controlling his puppets. Eren being the puppet master controlling his wall titan puppets.

His founder is a puppet on strings because he's a slave to the concept of freedom itself or 2. The halluciginea which the parasite is based off of can only move forwards and that's a major part of Eren's character.
this was such a great, but depressing episode! seeing them all happy together knowing the pain that comes shortly after just hurt my heart 😭😭 also idk how i expected the titans to cross the sea, but seeing them swimming was both the funniest yet scariest things i've ever witnessed 😅😂
As a mamga reader, MAPPA having a year to animate the rest of the chapters for part 3 is reasonable. Chapters after this, is just so crazy, so many titans to animate, and they want the better time to do it. And for the mean time, im gonna wait for Chainsaw Man too which MAPPA also animates.
It would be nightmare for animators infact they have enough time but still if they can delay the other projects like cm,jjk, or others they could be show us with great animation but mappa knows the animation is good or bad Doesn't matter because we viewers gonna watch the series because we love the stroy that's what i think
Eren's character is so crazy to me like ever since he saw the future it almost feels like he was searching for another answer that wasn't the rumbling if you remember that talk he had with Hange when he was in the cell he said this "Tell me if there's another answer, if you got some ace up your sleeve then let's hear it". Even tho he knew everything he still went to that conference in Marley and he still let Willy Tybur finish his speech like he was waiting to see if there really wasn't another way and i think that he realiced that it was impossible to defy the future when Sasha died because of his reaction.
he didn't know everything, just major parts his future self would send to Grisha, which is why there were stuff that surprised him, such as Willy saying the same line Carla instilled in him, or Gabi shooting his head off etc.
Seeing them drinking and having fun for the last time was so wholesome yet so sad T_T I'm so tempted to just read the manga but WE ANIME-ONLYS MUST RESIST! 2023 can't come soon enoughhhhh also love the AoT lofi track in the background, I'm gonna find it >:)

No matter how this show ends, Attack on Titan was able to give me an almost childlike wonder that I thought was long lost when it came to a work of cinema. I had become mostly bored with every other movie/show genre out there and had seemed to have lost that "awe" that came with it. But watching Attack on Titan brought back the adrenaline of watching an action scene for the first time. It gave back magic of being emersed in a fantasy world for the first time. It brought back the emotional experience of being attached to a group of characters for the first time. It gave back the horror of watching a scary scene for the first time. It brought back the thrill of a well written story. It gave back the wonder of an epicly written soundtrack that fit perfectly with the scene. All in all, it brought back the pride for being able to witness history being made with a work of cinema. Thank you Hajime Isayama, Hiroyuki Sawano, WIT, MAPPA, and everyone who had a part in bringing to life this masterpiece.
I believe Eren was crying back then watching the refugees because he realised he would kill these people too with the Rumbling, but he couldn't do anything about it, and it breaks my heart even more...

The scouts didn't know Zeke's real plan [Sterilization] at that moment, They knew his fake plan that he told them through Lady Kiyomi which is to make a test rumbling so the world is scared of their might and leave them for 50 years and during this time they should improve their military and technology and the Azumabito clan will help them so the rumbling will be no longer needed in the future. Then he passes the titan to Historia and she will pass it to her son/daughter and so on. The scouts and Eren didn't like this plan cause it will postpone the problem to the future and it will shorten Historia's life to 13 years only and die in a horrible way to guarantee that Paradise Island always has [ The Founding Titan & Titan with a royal blood]
Thanks for giving your opinions on and reactions to the series I enjoyed them quite a lot. 😄 I started as anime only myself but couldn't wait so I read the manga a few years back, I thought the ending was quite unique and I enjoyed reading this series is definitely up thier for me. Love seeing this season adapting the content really close to the manga as a manga reader I'm really impressed!!👍
There's still quite a bit of manga material left and there's a Studio MAPPA has expanded on several of the manga storylines just a bit to give some characters a bit more detail like they did earlier this season with Falco.
I’m glad they’re doing part three and taking their time. These last two episodes have been beyond cinematic. I’ve read so I might be bias, but they’re really doing it Justice and beyond.
People think Eren does look like a complex charakter but if u really think about it he actually isnt. He's just a simple man who searched for the "right decision" to make but at the end accepted the fact that the "right decision" doesnt exist. He just wants to protect his family at all cost and if that is the only way to do it then he will do it. Its not about thinking what is right or wrong here. If the only thing that you took from this story is that genocide can never be the answer then its completly fine and your opinion but then unfortunatly you didnt even try to understand. Trying to understand something or someone with the mindset of already being right blocks your clear thinking and prevents you from growing. Thats why you should go deeeeeeep into yourself and think. " Why is he doing this?, Why does he think like this?, Why is he the way he is?, Did something happen to him in the past?, What exactly happend?" and so on. If you cant answer all these questions and you really care for the message behind this anime then go for another round and watch again from the start. Try to pretend that his life is yours and share his emotions. Simply TRY TO UNDERSTAND. In my opinion i can totally understand why he is doing it but would i do the same if i would be in his position? I dont know and nobody knows, because thats the way it works. To fully unterstand someone u have to share his feelings and for this example its not possible to do that. Its like to tell someone who lost his mother that you understand how he feels altough your mother is still alive. Ofc u cant understand him and u never will, until the same happens to you. Thats why the only thing we can do is to TRY TO UNDERSTAND someone. Thats why watching from above and evaluate what is right or wrong is pretty damn easy but completly unnecessary, because your conclusion has no value. Its the same way of thinking that killing is wrong. If we all think that killing is wrong, why do people still get murdered then? Why do people still kill then? Apparently not all people think the same. If somebody holds a gun to the head of someone important to you and says if you dont kill me, i will kill this person. What will you do? What is right or wrong here? Who decides that? Is it the judge? or do you decide whats right or wrong? As you can see there is no point of thinking about something like this.
Eren was thinking if only there was another way. He know what he has to do as he has seen a bit of the future at this point and he feels bad because of all the innocents and people just like him outside the walls. despite knowing this he knows if he does nothing then his home will be destroyed so his resolve took precedence over his emotions.
6:40 i love this scene.. for so many things that its hard to list them all. but secretely the biggest reason is how it proves that Eren's mentality is wrong..to show how far down in hatred he is right now.
U can clearly see how conflicted poor Eren was and was crying because he already knew what he has to do to protect Paradis. When u will see more of Erens pov and it will make you cry 😭😭
That night was there last wholesome night as a group....god it tore me up thinking that the whole time. Also it is a really awesome but terrifying sight seeing Eren and his Titans marching toward the port.
Love this. Attack on Titan has many great messages, mostly delivered as cautionary tales. The consequences of racism, classism, nationalism, imperialism, historical revision, government propaganda, lack of education, political warfare, terrorism, cultism, guilt by association, sins of the father, etc. Even when the story and pacing feel a bit off at times, I think it deals with mature concepts and themes that feel timeless, impactful and relevant. It shows you the many types of forms that hatred and discrimination take, hoping that you won’t repeat the same mistakes that the characters of this world made. You can’t beat hatred and discrimination with more hatred and discrimination.

I am still in awe of this last episode. The flashbacks were needed as a reminder of what Eren went through to get to this point of the rumbling. It was lovely to see all of them together again but also heartbreaking to see that the scenes where they were all together having some final happy moments together. I am still trying to figure out the whole historia thing. This season was so good I need to go watch it back to back now. The rumbling is absolutely terrifying and the music, chills.
Well, remember how Miche Zacharius was torn apart by 4 titans at the same time? Ragako village, the entire Levi's squads, etc..... I could not careless about Marley anymore. Marley repeated the same thing Fritz did. It was clear as day

Or it might have been Samuel 🤷🏻 Tbh I don't know why he was trying to kill them. Doesn't that go against Eren's wishes? I guess he left that out when instructing him on what to do after the rumbling.
The next part will only be a few episodes (I guess 8) because there are only 9 chapters left. But yeah, they really shouldn’t have called the 1st part the ‘Final Season’ because the Marley arc isn’t a finale.
This is honestly not a spoiler, but whether things would have turned differently if Mikasa confessed to Eren ... yes, it would have. Thats what hurts most lol. It will be adapted in part 3.

It was overlooked because we thought Mikasa's answer determined the outcome of AOT but we were fools. Of course she called Eren her Savior in the first timeline causing them to run away. Yams is a sneaky bastard he thought we wouldn't noticed the memory of Eren's mothers death and the fact kid Eren in that memory was wearing a black jacket not brown. Meaning we saw a different Eren. There's 3 timelines in AOT. The anime will most likely have a different ending from the manga

There are 9 chapters left from here on out Alana. We have to wait long because, you will see, the conclusion arc next year is a movie quality, it's the hardest part that's going to ever adapted in the anime EVER. So that's like 9-10 episodes. Eren has seen all the memories of his own and future attack titans. He knows his plan will succeed and he knows that his friends will have the freedom to live long happy lives.
It's not about his friends being happy after Eren does the genocide (Of course, when there are no haters left. They will be happy on their own) But if he doesn't do this. All his friends would soon die in a war that would wipe out the paradise island. This is about going to Live or just sacrifice all the Eldians? Maybe if Mikasa said "I love you", they would run away and live together for another 4 years left. But all of people in paradise going to die and Historia was captured to produce offspring for the Malays.
Okay, can we all agree that, Eren did all this so that none of them has to die for the war ever again, no more childrens have to eat their parents to keep their titan power ever again??? Anime-only watcher here, so this is just conjecture on my part and maybe not spoilers.... But as I'm seeing this episode, yeah... I agree. Eren is willing to wipe out the whole world if it mean's protecting his friends. The events of this episode seem to reveal a lot about Eren's thoughts. About Mikasa, he wondered if she really did love him, so that's why he asked Zeke and asked her himself..... He knows Armin loves him as a brother, but was wondering about Mikasa. Would feel kind of weird to destroy the whole world and it turns out one of the people you did it for was just biologically obligated to do so. Him being a little distant when they arrived in Marley, him seeing the refugee camp and crying, him enjoying that party with them... you sense he already knows how it's going to go down... He cries because he does feel bad to do it, but protecting his friends is the only thing that matters. That party seems wistful too... I'm sure he's feeling this is the last happy time they'll have together. I have no idea how this is going to end... but I imagine it's going to be a doozy. I'm with you on having to wait another year to finish. Like, certainly, we don't want them to rush the ending... as I understand it, there's probably about 3 hours left of content left and they decided that a final season works best. But yeah... sucks having to wait. ☹

Eren lost his parents when he was a kid. These friends are actually like the family of him, the most precious things of him. So, he will do anything to protect them.
Waiting for a part 3 makes sense. No need to rush and make sure the animation is amazing and that the animators aren't overworked. As a manga reader, I'm hoping the hiatus until next year means an anime original ending because the actual ending sucked.
Having another season is GREAT! The final arc needs to have its own season. The animators need this break to prepare. It’ll be ridiculous to animate this arc.

But watching Attack on Titan brought back the adrenaline of watching an action scene for the first time. It gave back magic of being emersed in a fantasy world for the first time. It brought back the emotional experience of being attached to a group of characters for the first time. It gave back the horror of watching a scary scene for the first time. It brought back the thrill of a well written story. It gave back the wonder of an epicly written soundtrack that fit perfectly with the scene. All in all, it brought back the pride for being able to witness history being made with a work of cinema.

The scouts didn't know Zeke's real plan [Sterilization] at that moment, They knew his fake plan that he told them through Lady Kiyomi which is to make a test rumbling so the world is scared of their might and leave them for 50 years and during this time they should improve their military and technology and the Azumabito clan will help them so the rumbling will be no longer needed in the future.
Then he passes the titan to Historia and she will pass it to her son/daughter and so on.
The scouts and Eren didn't like this plan cause it will postpone the problem to the future and it will shorten Historia's life to 13 years only and die in a horrible way to guarantee that Paradise Island always has [ The Founding Titan & Titan with a royal blood]
Thanks for giving your opinions on and reactions to the series I enjoyed them quite a lot. 😄 I started as anime only myself but couldn't wait so I read the manga a few years back, I thought the ending was quite unique and I enjoyed reading this series is definitely up thier for me. Love seeing this season adapting the content really close to the manga as a manga reader I'm really impressed!!👍
There's still quite a bit of manga material left and there's a Studio MAPPA has expanded on several of the manga storylines just a bit to give some characters a bit more detail like they did earlier this season with Falco.
I’m glad they’re doing part three and taking their time. These last two episodes have been beyond cinematic. I’ve read so I might be bias, but they’re really doing it Justice and beyond.
People think Eren does look like a complex charakter but if u really think about it he actually isnt. He's just a simple man who searched for the "right decision" to make but at the end accepted the fact that the "right decision" doesnt exist. He just wants to protect his family at all cost and if that is the only way to do it then he will do it.
Its not about thinking what is right or wrong here. If the only thing that you took from this story is that genocide can never be the answer then its completly fine and your opinion but then unfortunatly you didnt even try to understand. Trying to understand something or someone with the mindset of already being right blocks your clear thinking and prevents you from growing. Thats why you should go deeeeeeep into yourself and think. " Why is he doing this?, Why does he think like this?, Why is he the way he is?, Did something happen to him in the past?, What exactly happend?" and so on. If you cant answer all these questions and you really care for the message behind this anime then go for another round and watch again from the start. Try to pretend that his life is yours and share his emotions. Simply TRY TO UNDERSTAND.
In my opinion i can totally understand why he is doing it but would i do the same if i would be in his position? I dont know and nobody knows, because thats the way it works. To fully unterstand someone u have to share his feelings and for this example its not possible to do that. Its like to tell someone who lost his mother that you understand how he feels altough your mother is still alive. Ofc u cant understand him and u never will, until the same happens to you. Thats why the only thing we can do is to TRY TO UNDERSTAND someone.
Thats why watching from above and evaluate what is right or wrong is pretty damn easy but completly unnecessary, because your conclusion has no value. Its the same way of thinking that killing is wrong. If we all think that killing is wrong, why do people still get murdered then? Why do people still kill then? Apparently not all people think the same. If somebody holds a gun to the head of someone important to you and says if you dont kill me, i will kill this person. What will you do? What is right or wrong here? Who decides that? Is it the judge? or do you decide whats right or wrong?
As you can see there is no point of thinking about something like this.

Eren was thinking if only there was another way. He know what he has to do as he has seen a bit of the future at this point and he feels bad because of all the innocents and people just like him outside the walls. despite knowing this he knows if he does nothing then his home will be destroyed so his resolve took precedence over his emotions.

but secretely the biggest reason is how it proves that Eren's mentality is wrong..to show how far down in hatred he is right now.

Love this. Attack on Titan has many great messages, mostly delivered as cautionary tales. The consequences of racism, classism, nationalism, imperialism, historical revision, government propaganda, lack of education, political warfare, terrorism, cultism, guilt by association, sins of the father, etc. Even when the story and pacing feel a bit off at times, I think it deals with mature concepts and themes that feel timeless, impactful and relevant.
It shows you the many types of forms that hatred and discrimination take, hoping that you won’t repeat the same mistakes that the characters of this world made. You can’t beat hatred and discrimination with more hatred and discrimination.

I am still in awe of this last episode. The flashbacks were needed as a reminder of what Eren went through to get to this point of the rumbling. It was lovely to see all of them together again but also heartbreaking to see that the scenes where they were all together having some final happy moments together. I am still trying to figure out the whole historia thing. This season was so good I need to go watch it back to back now. The rumbling is absolutely terrifying and the music, chills.

攻撃, 進撃 and 巨人 are Chinese characters and have meanings on their own.
進=advance forward, go up, improve, etc.
攻=attack, learn
撃=hit strongly, slap
攻撃 means attack.
進撃 means attack but also including advance forward, etc.
Usually in Japan the attack titan = kogeki no kyojin =攻撃の巨人
but the creator, Hajime Isayama-sensei, deliberately chose to name it shingeki no kyojin!
It is difficult to translate shingeki no kyojin to English.
The name of the Titan and the name of the show is:
The titan who attacks to advance forward(for freedom).
That Is the more correct meaning.
Shingeki no kyojin does not mean just, “attack titan” or “attack on titan”.

It was overlooked because we thought Mikasa's answer determined the outcome of AOT but we were fools. Of course she called Eren her Savior in the first timeline causing them to run away. Yams is a sneaky bastard he thought we wouldn't noticed the memory of Eren's mothers death and the fact kid Eren in that memory was wearing a black jacket not brown.
Meaning we saw a different Eren. There's 3 timelines in AOT. The anime will most likely have a different ending from the manga

There are 9 chapters left from here on out Alana. We have to wait long because, you will see, the conclusion arc next year is a movie quality, it's the hardest part that's going to ever adapted in the anime EVER. So that's like 9-10 episodes. Personally, as a manga reader, I like it, because there are things need to be fleshed out specially the ending which is the most divisive part of manga readers (but anime onlies may love it more than what was presumed). Also I cannot blame if you read the manga, MAPPA always on a brutal cliffhanger each time with AOT that they probably want to make sure each one of us have read it by 2023 lmao.

I read the manga after part 1 of the final season and i regret it badly lol i didnt finish it tho i just read it towards the ending and left it at that cause I wanted to watch the final in anime form and be clueless about it. guess im gonna wait for another year lmao. but seeing the refugee camp part where they all got drunk being animated was some of the most wholesome-est shit ever!! and then cut to them invading ....BRUH !

Anime-only watcher here, so this is just conjecture on my part and maybe not spoilers.... But as I'm seeing this episode, yeah... I agree. Eren is willing to wipe out the whole world if it mean's protecting his friends. The events of this episode seem to reveal a lot about Eren's thoughts. About Mikasa, he wondered if she really did love him, so that's why he asked Zeke and asked her himself..... He knows Armin loves him as a brother, but was wondering about Mikasa. Would feel kind of weird to destroy the whole world and it turns out one of the people you did it for was just biologically obligated to do so.
Him being a little distant when they arrived in Marley, him seeing the refugee camp and crying, him enjoying that party with them... you sense he already knows how it's going to go down... He cries because he does feel bad to do it, but protecting his friends is the only thing that matters. That party seems wistful too... I'm sure he's feeling this is the last happy time they'll have together. I have no idea how this is going to end... but I imagine it's going to be a doozy.
I'm with you on having to wait another year to finish. Like, certainly, we don't want them to rush the ending... as I understand it, there's probably about 3 hours left of content left and they decided that a final season works best. But yeah... sucks having to wait. ☹

Waiting for a part 3 makes sense. No need to rush and make sure the animation is amazing and that the animators aren't overworked. As a manga reader, I'm hoping the hiatus until next year means an anime original ending because the actual ending sucked.
Having another season is GREAT! The final arc needs to have its own season. The animators need this break to prepare. It’ll be ridiculous to animate this arc.

Eren is saying he can't afford to think about whether he and Mikasa could have a future where they are in love, because he only has four years left to live. So he wants them to live and be happy, without guilt as he will erase their memories.
