The scene with his "gay thing" Aaron is so interesting to me because the director Ben Edlund actually talked about how Jensen added a sort of romantic fluster to the scene that they didn't expect while filming, like he really was considering taking up Aaron on the offer but couldn't because he was still in the middle of a case. If I had to use anything as evidence of his bisexuality it'd be that (and the Doctor Sexy scene lol)

The "Dean is bi" theory is the best interpretation, because it makes up for all the homophobia they wrote into his character. This is NOT to say that all homophobes are simply closeted gays, but that it would make sense for Dean to have internalized the homophobia he heard from John and the other hunters as he grew up.
It would make sense for Dean to have learned homophobia whether or not he's personally attracted to men. He grew up in redneck country lol
the most amusing thing for me, is that he never (or at least usually not) denies. whenever someone makes a joke or comentary or just assumes he is gay/bi, he just brushes over and moves on, he dosen't get offended, or even try do say "no, I'm not".
Jensen himself has said that Dean is straight, and he gets uncomfortable when people bring up Dean being bi.

@@steemcgee5150 it’s from 10x16, if I remember correctly Sam is doing some hunter things while Dean is stalling the priest by confessing to random stuff he feels "guilty" about (sleeping with different women at the same time, lying to his partners). When he’s done, the priest asks if there’s anything else, Dean hesitates and ends up saying what is in that clip. Back then, he was fighting the mark of Cain and was pretty certain he wasn’t going to make it. He expresses his regrets and desires to feel different & new things, "people". Out of context as well as in context, it has always sounded like a coming out scene to me, but it’s never mentioned again after that episode (even though at the end of the ep, Sam tells Dean that he can tell him anything and he would listen to him).

In 1x09 “Bugs”, what really sold me on his bisexuality was the fact that when a man questioned his relationship to Sam, he didn’t respond with “I’m not gay”, instead saying “we’re brothers”. It’s an incredibly small thing and his response isn’t even that telling of his sexuality but it tells me he doesn’t particularly care what others assume about his sexual orientation.
He exhibits some signs of toxic masculinity during the show but it’s minuscule moments like that in which they tell me he’s not homophobic and overly masculine.

Every time I watch Dean be flustered by a cute guy, I am reminded of the actress playing the tragic schoolmarm from ‘The Real Ghostbusters’. Where she explains how all the guys there except for Dean seem to be afraid of women. Because when you’re really attracted to someone, it can be intimidating. I just get really reminded of that when he’s stumbling into tables of glasses or fumbling over words with Gunner Lawson, or unable to keep eye contact with Dr. Sexy.
