Damn dude, you're burning through your phone. That always-on and heavy usage, I'm seriously amazed it lasted for this long. I think you could get much more battery (more than the displayed 6%) just by turning off the always-on display. But yeah, now I get it why people rank a phone highly if it can last a day.
Hi! Thanks, that was very valuable information! I still read and study these policies from time to time, but my English is not very good, I am Estonian, from Estonia, and then I constantly translate them on Google and it is a very time-consuming job. In fact, there is a great need for videos like this, which expose and show how much people are being snooped on and cheated, so that people can set up phones and other equipment for themselves with as few data leaks as possible. But this information is probably not very popular and those who present the products and talk about them, most of them are also connected to a greater or lesser extent with the companies of these products and cannot enlighten people in this way. I immediately went into my phone settings and read it again and hit the button! Thank you for this video, and for showing a little bit of the day in real life! ☀️
Many people who purchased the S24 series in Korea are looking at the battery time, and it was confirmed that the battery time of the S24 series increases if you turn off brightness optimization and adjust it appropriately. The figures are very different. 2.0 times 1.8 times for the s24 series. If there is sun, the brightness goes to maximum and battery consumption increases. The maximum brightness is numerically brighter than previous models, so it is bright enough for actual use. I confirmed that the battery time increases significantly when I turn off battery optimization and adjust the brightness without causing any inconvenience

Just enabled my s24 process data settings.. and you got a new subscriber from 🇮🇳 thank you for sharing this ... looking forward for more information and updates. 🎉
I believe if you toggle "process data only on device," you won't be able to use some of the AI features, so that's why they don't have that on by default
Finally, day in a life video about a phone that shows the battery percentage from the beginning instead of talking about features bla bla bla that I could get from the review video.
So, I saw something interesting on the the GSM arena battery testing of the S24 talk time. It has LESS talk time on the S24 (with a bigger battery) compared to the S23. Last year's S23 has approximately 30hr and half talk time, and the new S24 has 23hr and half. Does anyone have any idea what is running in the background to cause this drastic of a decrease??? Just wow. I suspect the AI features, but can you look into this @DayoAworunse ??? :D
the reason it's disabled is because of the photo editing features they advertised that are not on device. it's kinda an industry standard move though, as Google pixels do the same thing.
Excellent review . I got the S24 on pre sale . Just by timings that I got such a good price. I returned a Pixal 8. I loved the size and feel of the Pixel 8 but it had an issue that Google could not fix at the moment .
I have the Samsung Galaxy S24+ and the phone, or rather the battery, can keep on working from the morning 8am to 10pm and still have around 45ish percentage while being on a 1-day "vacation". I do have set up dark mode + black wallpaper + battery saving mode ON.
I think it’s really good that you’ve taken some time talking about privacy as I see 0 tech UA-camrs doing it. Maybe what you read “surprised” you but that’s nothing new. Samsung is really bad in terms of privacy (just read their policy and you will understand) and so are most other brands out there. If you are really privacy cautious (which you should be) then the only two phones that comes to mind are iPhones (even though not perfect) and Google pixel WITH GrapheneOS. I really enjoy your videos please continue !
The bad thing is neither of those two choices are privacy conscious. Google made the phone so the hardware is not trustworthy, and Apple has been hit with privacy scandals, despite what people have heard.
Great way ive found of tricking the battery during the first few weeks to optimise for the best battery is to turn it on use it extremely sparingly with all the settings you want to use turned on the ai learning that optimise the battery will give you more battery. I got 6 hours screen on time with 15% at the end of the day.
I just finished ghosts. Played the whole game on the portal and it was amazing. Just started cyberpunk 2077 and wow its badass. Haven't turned on my tv that my ps5 is connected to ever since I bought the portal. Waiting on my s24 ultra now.
What? The AI-functions are basically cloud based services. Just like Chat gpt, the online AI image generators etc. Some of these functions CAN be used solely offline on-device but with possible worse expected results. I remember people was pretty happy when news hit that an offline mode would be included (even though it would possible produce worse results that way). I don`t think I've ever heard anyone thinking the AI services would be exclusively produced on-device?
Well , we are indeed uploading stuff to someone's cloud, when we are editing stuff online. Since a smartphone is a peesonal item , Samsung should have said , item uploaded won't be stored in the server. Unless until that happens, advanced intelligence is shady
Coming from the s23 i wasn't sure how much better the s24 could be. The battery is crazy good. I'm getting 7 hours sot on cellular consistently. The screen is noticeably brighter and my notifications n ringtones are louder with better haptics. My only gripe is the Samsung leather case options are meh. It's not a solid fit and the colors are kinda boring too. ( No camel color )
Could you repeat this test and disable your WiFi connection? I think a lot of people would appreciate knowing what you've tested but on a 5G signal, since most of us don't have the luxury of working from home with a constant WiFi signal. 5G Drains battery life over twice as fast as WiFi.
Thanks for this review, this is going to be my new COD Mobile device. I'm currently using an iPhone 11pro max because it's the perfect size for COD ,but it just gets hot too quickly😢
Thumbs up for mentioning Greek yogurt in your video 🤟 Do you think that switching from an iPhone 15 plus to a S24 is a good idea (talking about the Exynos variant)? I would like your opinion (or a viewer’s opinion). I’m not a heavy user.
Did anyone else notice the battery was at 33% at 4:25pm, then by some miracle it went up to 36% at 4:46pm? Maybe I should get an S24 seeing as the battery rejuvenates power without even needing a charge....
Yeah I noticed that too. At 14:41 you can see, it says last charged to 37% and graph shows charging symbol. Maybe he charged the phone or connected it to PC to transfer files or something?
