I think Athena was so hurt from what she and her group went through with Keith, that in her own way she was trying to make sure she got things right for her solo album especially with writing songs on the album. Unfortunately through bad management advisement things didn't work out when she went solo. I wish it worked out because she's so amazingly gifted.

I'd have to agree unfortunately. Keith did a number on Kut Klose no doubt.

Great Halftime Chat podcast again. Tim and Bob both have done excellent work for many years. This seems like this would have been another great, "Tim and Bob" success. As an ol' skool, "true and soulful" R&B producer myself from IL respectively, I ask Tim, what other avenues are there now for "true and soulful" R&B producers as myself"... to help it get out of the lime light, and help keep it relevant? We need "true and soulful" R&B back asap. I've always respected his "true and soulful" R&B style (respectively). 👊🏽👊🏽💯💯🎧🎧🎤🎤🎼🎼📀📀🙏🏽🙏🏽

I always liked Athena & was waiting on her album.
I didn’t know Tim & Bob handled the production. I sure enough would’ve enjoyed it.

The art of a woman! That album! Was everything it showed her in different range she has one track on the album call "Dream lover" and it's a very sensual song it reminds you of a Janet Jackson song and then she has another track on there that slaps called hey hey hey & he changed his mind Athena gave us an amazing album and a sad that she didn't get the commercial success as other female artists would like & Ashanti or chante Moore or even Kelly Rowland.

It’s funny how this video popped up. I’ve been listening to Athena’s Unreleased Album for the last two weeks! She def have some bops on there! “Take it out on me” and “Changed his mind” are my faves from the album! I really wish that album was on streaming services.

The album does have a Janet vibe but "Turn You Out" and "Respect" sounds exactly like they were meant for Janet.

That would have been one feminist of an album making man-hating records. Sorry. I would pulled a Andre Harrell and ignore them and let them fall to the sideline #uptown #motown LoL

That group wouldn't have lasted; Latasha would have pulled Tamia's hair outta her scalp and wear it as a lace front sew-in.

Yes that song is beautiful I keep replaying it. And yes I can hear it being a Janet song but the difference is Janet would panamize it live Athena would sing it Live.

Great song, even though I still believe that the best Tim & Bob unreleased songs are some of the ones they cut on Tank like "Superstar" or "Do You Remember"

AThena sabotaged herself. Tim K. got that unc energy. Bobby V's Tim & Bob version of Special Occasion was dripped out. The 2007 version of that album is gooooood but it wasn't ex-cell-lent as the demo from 2006 that got leaked out hence why Tim & Bob and DTP had to scrap that version and redo it.

Singers/artists Can get funny when the work that they've done is "too good" or they're too close to success. I've seen plenty "jump out the window" worried that someone is trying to steal from them when they're on the brink of success. 🙄

I love Athena Cage voice and her vibe. I don't want to here her sound like Janet Jackson. Its almost kind of creepy

They should have gave that track to Bobby V. She kind sound like the female version of him. I've heard the track with Tank with the Bootsy sample. That song is dope . It was on a bootleg so called Tank mixtape CD. That was dope project. It also has a cut with Tank ft. Rick Ross called My Block. I really dig your platform. I'm a self proclaimed RNB Head. Lol. Shalom Alecheim and Blessings
