Greetings from Blighty. Its good to go South of London. Most tourists from America( If they leave London) go either West or North. So Kent, East and West Sussex and Hampshire are not frequented as much. My family from the States love these counties. As for food. I travel all over Europe and there is more choice of cuisine, from different countries, in my local High street than there is in, for example, the whole of France! The reason for this is the British Colonies. So now Curry is pretty much our national dish. I also take your point on Chinese food which ,here , is more based traditional Chinese cooking. We have a long relationship with China through Hong Kong an ex colony. Mince pies are traditionally Christmas fayre. The mincemeat inside is a mixture of dried fruits as you said. This mixture was brought back to Britain during the time of the crusades, so from the East. Glad you had a good time. PS. Jet lag is far worse coming from America to the UK . My family basically write off the first two days when they get here.
Yes we didn’t see many other Americans but no worries there, we see plenty at home. Oh curry makes sense since wasnt India under British rule at one time? We def agree with the coming home is MUCH easier than going there. BUT we’re excited to go back!
@@RyanandPam Yes indeed. India , Pakistan and Bangladesh where, incidentally, most curry house owners are from in Britain. I'm just about in London by about half a mile. So I'm the London tour guide for the family. If they go North of Birmingham (England) another branch of the family takes over tour duties. I , however, get a lot more trade than the Northern branch. All the best to you both. PS." Sesame prawn toast".. I make my own..and... "Crispy aromatic duck" PPS. Our toilets used to flush well until the EU decided we should use a smaller volume of water to flush. Pre 1980's toilet Cisterns are fine, anything later is a bit of a lottery.
Darn! We learned the hard way. We will def know for next time especially with the little man. Would have been nice to let him lay down without the arm rests
I agree Chinese food in England is the best. I’ll never find anything like it again in New England.
Its sad but true!
