Neuschwanstein is the name of the castle. It is close to Fuessen in South Germany very close to the Austrian border.

Such a beautiful Castle..the logistics of building this at the time that it was built must have been a workman's or peasants worst headache. Who do you think is waving from the tallest tower ?

Wrong. The castle was build with private funds from Ludwig II. Poverty? Münich flourished!! He kept Bayern away from wars and many people loved him!! He choose this fairytale living style, but he wasn't a militarist dictator. I think he spend many personal funds and maybe his family wanted to remove him.
