Nevaeh I have no idea of your age but since you drive I assume you are at least 16. May I offer you some advice from an old man (71). I left my Moms house when I was 18 and really thought I had the world in my hands I It wasnt until my early 20s that I realized how much I missed being at home with my Mom. This could be a long long story but I will just give you my advice. Stay with your parents as long as you can. Their love and guidance is more important in your early years then you will ever know. Grow up a little more and enjoy home life. You wont regret it in the long run.

Very similar to the advice I just posted. I couldn't wait to get away from the country. It only took a few years to decide I needed to get back to it.

All you can do young lady, is follow your heart and live your life. That being said, I lived and worked in the Washington DC Metropolitan area for 12 years and absolutely hated it. I grew up in the mountains of central Pennsylvania, and couldn't wait to leave for the city. Looking back, it was the worse decision I could have made, but it was my life and it made me who I am. My advice, don't rush in to anything. You're still young and have plenty of time to decide.

Naveah. It didn't surprise me at the end where you said you prefer to be back at home. I would to if I had what you have. I live in a city of 300 thousand and it's too big for me. I also grew up on a farm and miss it totally. Unfortunately my parents sold the farm cuz of health reasons.

That makes me so happy to hear you prefer your home over the city. The beauty of this is that you can always go visit a city, but you can always go back home where it is peaceful and safe.

There is nothing wrong to explore and find your niche,BUT, have an escape plan! Yes, city has tons of everything to see and do, but the thing that always bothered me is that there really is no privacy, the minute you walk out your door you are in a mass of people, high taxes and lots of noise…no space and hard to find peace. You are a beautiful soul and woman who comes from a great family…never loose or forget where you come from and the values that make you, you!

Oh Nevaeh, u are so fortunate at your age to have such a close family that enjoys each other in all ur different ages. Families nowadays are divided by divorce, kids on different schedules with sports, recitals, etc.. Such a fun, loving family, with parents who truly know how to have fun with their kids as parents, not friends, giving you all such amazing experiences, so much an Ohana supporting each other.

I definitely think living out in the country is better than city life. City life is stressful and everybody is always on the go. I live in a small town now but my dream is to be a homesteader and have my own land. Your family inspires me. I think you are a very beautiful, kind hearted, talented young lady. You can always travel the world and still have a home base in the country. Your possibilities are endless. Always pursue your dreams. ❤

long story short. I have four daughters. My oldest three decided they like the slower life of country living although they decided not to move back to Texas with us. My youngest daughter, who just finished beautician school, has decided to stay where she knows, a city in VA. Although it’s breaks my heart I don’t get to see my daughters all the time I feel proud they were strong enough to make their own decisions, choose where they want to live and what do what they want to do. You find you. You seem to have been raised in a household that is nurturing in preparing you as an adult. You be you.

You have good parents that understand what they wanted and have worked hard to give the best for reading their family. You can always visit the busy cities but to have a place of calm refuge only some can enjoy that. Going to college can help you find a social life during your dating years. Beware that you have a strong foundation for decision making and stay close to those who know you well. And you will always have the support of strong wisdom on your side. You are a beautiful young woman who is very aware of her growing curiosity of life and the world and lives in. Wishing you the best life ever!

Navaeh, I love watching your families adventures! I have lived in Seattle my entire life. My kids are growing up here and my family is here. While I don't regret never leaving the city, we yearn to be in a much quieter place. We travel to our property in the Methow Valley as much as we can where we can think, here the birds and not have to deal with the craziness that the city brings. This is where we find ourselves and the peace that comes with it. The city will always be there... Cherish every moment you have with your family in the country, time goes so quickly.

Much of my family lives and has lived in the Chicago area. My dad, instead, chose to raise us in rural, small town, Central Indiana. When I was younger I used to long to live in the big city, but as I grew older I began to appreciate the life Dad wanted for us. I will never regret not moving up with the majority of my family. They can have that concrete jungle!

I am the same age as your parents, I am going to offer a little different type of advice than I have been reading. I love both the city and the country and have bounced between both due to my career. There will be times in your life when you may crave a more active pace of life. Don't dismiss one for the other because you can experience both, and even have both as I do. I have an apt in the city and a country retreat, and I love both. Vacationing in a city is completely different from living in one, there are smaller cities or larger towns. You may thrive in a college town or a small city or where your parents live. Try it all, and take a few risks. You are one of the lucky ones who will have a safe space to land with your parents.

Great to see this trip from your view point and not your folks! When Eli said, "Even the windows are crying" ....too funny! I am far older than you but spent about a dozen years living in the country and five years ago moved to a bigger town...but, not too big. Though I've gotten used to my new place, I still miss the quiet, the bluest of skies, the shooting stars and so much more. So thankful I had that opportunity to live like that. I like to visit a big city...but, there is no place like home.

Nevaeh, There are advantages and disadvantages in living in either place. I've lived most of my life in the city but love the country as well. The ease of living in the city is that most things are close at hand. The theaters, malls, entertainment, etc are just down the block or across the city. When I in lived near downtown St. Paul I owned my own home. I planned my yard around a peaceful existence. I surrounded myself with beautiful flower gardens, a small vegetable garden and had a privacy fence. I had a quiet existence until I drove my car to work each day to the downtown area of tons of traffic, and a zillion of people scurrying around. On weekends and vacations I headed up to northern Minnesota to my parents beautiful home on a lake. The quietness, the wild animals, sound of the waves hitting the shoreline, wood stove warming the house and our Saturday night Bar B Q's were amazing. There is good and bad elements no matter where we reside. You have plenty of time to decide where it is you want to claim where you live. As you grow your inner need to be in one place will change. Maybe change several times. Just remember, no matter where you go in life, home is where your heart is.

Happy Valentine's day Nevaeh! You are a smart and beautiful young lady. Your parents have instilled great values in you. Never sell yourself short, you are a gem. My daughter is 33 now and I am very proud of her and what she has done with her life so far. I have no doubt you will be the same way! My one piece of advice for every young adult is this - do the best you can today, for what you can accomplish tomorrow, is built on what you do today.
Your parents have lived this example every day for the last 2 and a half years. What a great family!! Love your videos! I pray for you and your family!😁

Cities are fine for visiting, with opportunities to experience new & modern things. Years ago I felt I was losing my sense of self, working crazy shifts as a paramedic in the city, luckily I was able to transfer back to my original home area in coastal/rural Australia. Watching the sun come up from a calm sea in the stillness of dawn, hearing so many different birds in the trees behind my house, giving the cows nearby a gentle pat & looking into their gorgeous big eyes, my life is so much better. I can still see shows with a 2hr car trip north to my sister in Brisbane, “Red Hot Chilli Peppers” last month, musical “SIX” tomorrow, “Cirque du Soleil” in July 2023, “Pink” in February 2024. Nevaeh, you may have to leave your home in the future to pursue your dreams, however remember you will always be able to return. Take care & cheers🥰

Girly, I am so happy to hear you say you prefer your home to the city. First, I agree with who said it's going to be dangerous in cities in the near future. Second, I actually start seeing more and more cool people choose to leave cities. It's like they start to realize the beauty of real life is smothered in the cities by artificial shiny things, the constant noise (not nature noises), people who are asleep in life, nasty people because they've been toxified by the city life.... I could go on, but you get the idea. Seriously, I know you're at the age of liking to be cool and do cool things. That's fine, but please keep that gracefulness about you while at it. That is a part of beauty and you will, believe it or not, have many admiring you a lot more. It gives an element of being centered and confident. I applaud your parents also for bringing you up to be the great young lady that you are.

Please, stay with your parents and keep schooling, and even in college. Stay home and learn. You can do it, and I promise you will be thankful you did.
People are cruel, and especially those that have the cameras eye are used the most from others who pretend to be a friend and really they just use you and hurt you out of selfish or jealous reasons.
The world has changed and not for the better. Iv been through both in the school and online. Online is better you have access to all information needed to complete assignments.
Graduate school will have a need to attend live depending on your career choice. Please stay with your parents. I promise you will be much wiser for it, and your parents can provide protection and great advice you will need.
You have much to offer, and still need your parents protection. I advice as a mom myself. My kids are grown so trust me when I advise it's from a mom's perspective.

As long as you find joy and love whatever it is you chose to do, that is the most important. Your parents are fantastic examples of living the dream, now it's time to live yours x.

Visiting is fabulous but there is no place like home. I found that out long ago. I moved out of my parents home and found my own not far away. Good luck in every thing you do. God bless

    Good choice Nevaeh.
I think think the open country helps keep a person grounded and builds character. You're not pulled a million different directions like in the city.
You're a beautiful young lady that seems to be on the right track .
Seek the advice of those that have traveled the road before. Don't let the world dictate your future. Command it yourself.
    Wishing you the best.
    Stay safe.

Nevaeh, you have so much to learn from your parents: why not take advantage? May as well! Your parents absolutely love you. You would have many opportunities to move out on your own, or with friends, etc......into a place in a larger geographic area. Not everyone can become accustom to a smaller town/city. All the best to you, all ways!

I agree with you Neveah... I prefer the country. I see why your family chose the area where you live... just look at those beautiful mountains right outside your house. I live in a middle size city but it is surrounded by mountains of North Carolina. You have a beautiful name and I love how you take care of your siblings. You have some awesome parents... be safe and careful ❤️🌹👏🏔️⛰️

    Hi Nevaeh,
I'm trying to catch up on my UA-cam favs. You did a great job on this one. Loved it when Eli discovered his jacket zipper had a plane on it.😉
The city is a nice place to visit, but I'll take the countryside any day. I'm an hrs drive from a big city, but not as far out in the country as you all. Lots of wildlife, but the black bears are further north here in Michigan, and no grizzlies, thankfully.😯😉 God bless you & your family, and keep up the YouTubing... you're a natural & keep it real.❤

I grew up the first 13 years just outside of Portland Oregon. And then in rural eastern Oregon threw my last 30s. I now live about 35iles fr Atlanta ga! A huge city. However I live in the country with a garden and deer . Quiet neighborhood. Horses just up around the corner. It's the best of both worlds!. You have time

Wow, you look so grown up on that outro! I grew up in the suburbs, idolized my grandparent's farm. Enjoyed city life in 20's, but by 30's ended up in suburbs. Now live in far out suburb. Aspire to a place like you live. My point is that you can appreciate different locations in different seasons. BTW your family in Seattle seem nice!

    happy valentines...
do not move to the city unless 1) you have a job 2) a family member who also lives in the city 3) its what you really want
other than those go for it... but remember you wont have your parents paying your way in life in the city...
i moved to the city a long time ago when i first started my business and opened offices up in london, now i live back in the countryside and i love it... no noisy neighbours, no honking cars, no sirens... you have the internet for shopping, its very rare i enter a store these days...

I'm from VA BEACH VA. I love seagulls. They're comical and good at taking fries from your hand. They'll land on the hood of your car and snitch the fry around the corner. Get stopped on top of a bridge they'll land on the hood and walk back and forth and stare at you thru the the windshield. Only one thing more fun to watch are pelicans flying spot a fish and just fold up their body and drop to the ocean to catch it. They have quite a wing span. Oh and the seagulls will take a fry you hold out the car window with your arm extended while in flight. 🥰😂🤣

Happy Valentine Day! Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Wow - that brought back sooo many memories. I grew up in a small town and didn't really think about leaving until my early 20s. There is so much to explore before you have to make a decision, and many times "life" makes some of those decisions for you. So - follow your heart! Blessings 😍

To the young lady that appears to have it all together. I admire any young person that wants to make a live changing move. My self I moved from an island in the Atlantic with my family to North America when I was 4 months short of my 10th birthday. I had grown until then in a country/farm setting, so I can see some things that others might not understand. Seeing your parents and siblings I think you made a wonderful decision. Living in a major city it's like going a 100 miles an hour, then going home and repeating that every day sometimes thinking that you've done nothing and gone anywhere. Life gives us many choices, choosing where you can be at your best is no shame. Tons of hugs for you all. From a farm boy who has never left.
