Good afternoon guys, its always a pleasure listening to both of you. I live in Atlanta, GA, and I am projecting that my intergrated farm will open by spring of next year (fish, goat, and chicken). I have a question about your workers' schedules. How do you manage this? Do they work in shifts? Do they get time off? Please do a program on this. Thank you 😊

Hmmm what you went through I had the same,Mine was not even in deep village. I bought a plot and wanted to put up a 4 floor building as apts Lord the LC 1 orgnized meetings telling people that I was going to block their road in the side.Despite my family explaining to people the road was not in my plot they did not listen. But I was determined to build my structure. I got my plan approved put a barbed fence that side and started the building without them . After my building was completed other similar buildings were put up. Area developed . You know people have envy and ignorance.

Well that’s quite an interesting story. I had a similar experience when I and my colleague wanted to buy 340 acres of land for a different agricultural project. The area of land we picked had some people who were living on it illegally. So when they saw the owner walking us around with one of the local council members. This guy would insight people telling them that we are going to evict them from the land. So these guys ended up grouping together and we had some kind of words like let’s tie them together and set fire on them, and other related things. Until I told them that we have not yet purchased the land and if anything, they should first get a common understanding with the owner. The local council one chairman was telling them how we’ve already purchased and we are going to evict them without compensation.so technically these kind of people make it difficult for developers. Guess what we gave up that land. Later on the owner told me that he involved in the authorities..

I appreciate when you tell these stories. I do have a few questions: What is an LC1 and LC2? Are you contracts negotiated in more than one language? Thank you and keep up the good work!!!

LC 1 is local chairperson or village leader.

LC1 in Uganda refers to the Local Council 1, which is the lowest level of local government in the country. It is a village-level council that is responsible for governance and administration at the grassroots level.
      The LC1 is responsible for:
      - Resolving disputes and maintaining law and order
      - Collecting taxes and revenues
      - Providing basic services such as water, sanitation, and healthcare
      - Maintaining infrastructure such as roads and bridges
      - Promoting agriculture and economic development
      - Ensuring community participation and involvement in decision-making processes
The LC1 is composed of 9-11 members, including a chairperson, secretary, and other representatives elected by the residents of the village.@@ValueFarmUG
