So that bit about the Templars in Rivain, that actually happened during the period between 2 and Inquisition, when the Templar went rogue and started hunting the mages. There was a codex entry that described the annulment of the rivain circle that happened I think either a year prior to DA:I or during it, I can't remember

Templar- Mage war lasted two years before the events of Inquisition. Rivain was probably attacked somewhere in that time period.
I thought for some reason it was like only a year or so... if not less between Varric getting picked up and moving into Inquisition. It still just seems weird that the Templars with all the mages running around Southern Thedas found the time to head off to Rivain 😂
@@FoodThenGames it's one of those events that happens in extended universe lore. you find out how and when the Mage-Templar war starts in the Book Asunder. you end up meeting Cole in this book. also Wynne is also a main character in it.
@@FoodThenGames I think Varric getting picked up and telling Cassandra about the events of DA2 is only a couple of weeks before Inquisition. For some reason the writers keep acting like the Chantry and the Templars were only in Orlais and Ferelden for some reason. its getting to be a weird continuity error.
Is that the book where you find out who Wynne's son is and stuff? I wish then the game had made it clear when you were talking in this quest that it was during that time period not DAI cause some of us didn't read the books and it's like 😩Especially as this was build as "new player friendly" you know?!
okay so being confused at this point just seems normal for DA2 - DAI timeline 😂
