I just got back from 4 days in Krakow, Me and my daughter did the Auschwitz and Birkenau tours as well, Krakow is a beautiful city, Great food and beer! 👌
What a great video. Love your energy. Krakow is absolutely stunning and full of fun things to do. Besides, there are and plenty of awesome day trip opportunities in the area.
This was a fun video to watch, haha. My good friend, who I'm visiting in Manchester THIS WEEK (Yahoooo!), is from Krakow, so it was cool to see. Can't wait for the next video! Cheers!
Hope you enjoy the video! Let us know if you have been to Krakow and your first impressions 👇🏻 Hope you’ve had a lovely weekend and thanks always for your support ☺️
Yep... I thought it was just urban legend but now I found the real answer for a question 'who drinks the most vodka in the world?' - ofc Brits in Kraków on the weekend :D
"Fun fact": the polish currency - złoty - means literally "the golden one". Eg. 20 złotych ( "złotych ["c" is always silent in c-h combination]" [same as "złote"], is prular from "złoty"), means 20 "golden ones". "Ł"/"ł" you read as "w" in english ; ]
Actually, złoty translates to both gold and golden, depending on the context. For example, "złoty łańcuszek" translates to "gold necklace". When a Polish person says: złoty łańcuszek, złoty pierścionek, złoty sygnet, there's no doubt that these things are made of gold. Polish money is not just golden. It's gold 😁
Priceless in Poland is that a woman can go alone for a beer after 11 pm and no one will do anything to her. Go out drinking after 11 pm alone at Tottenham...
Nice that you enjoyed Krakow, but the prices there are crazy xD Like in most main city squares tho. for the price of your glass of wine - i can have a whole bottle of it 2 streets from there ^^ I remember visiting a friend of mine there, couple years ago, ive sat there on the square, under some umbrella, they wanted from me 15 zloty, its like 3 pounds, for a glass of water, im like gtfo im out :P And its not like im poor or something, but i always calculate best deal, if i can have a whole 6pack of nice mineral water bottles for the same price as a 1 glass, i feel im getting scammed ;] Cheers.
It's cheap because the prices are adjusted to Polish wages and Poles earn 4 times less than in Western Europe, so everything is cheap for you with your earnings. If you want a cheap holiday by the sea or in the mountains, go to Poland, with your budget, what you would spend at home in Poland, you will get a higher standard.
@@AbbyandGaz Well, the capital has a lot of possibilities. Typical tourist spots are the royal route, the palace on the water with a park, the palace of culture with the best view of the whole of Warsaw, the square with the royal castle, the museum of World War II giving an overview of the conditions in which Poles lived under German occupation. You must be aware that what you will see is almost 90 percent restored, because the Germans razed Warsaw to the ground, what was left after the Warsaw Uprising [not to be confused with the ghetto uprising], they systematically blew up. An interesting fact that tourists do not pay attention to is that in some districts on the walls or buildings you can see holes in the balls - left specially.
Thanks for your feedback. I think it’s just naturally what we would say so didn’t think too much about it but it’s meant with no bad feelings behind it. Hope that it hasn’t been taken the wrong way!
@@AbbyandGaz Poles make little less money than British people but cost are much lower than in Britain For example if i have my own apartment then entire cost monthly is around 120 US dollars that is no bad if u compare to western european countries
I like almost everything about this video except the fact that you keep repeating that everything is "cheap". Maybe it is "cheap" for you but not the Polish people! Keep saying that and the prices will be going up and up...
Hey Adrian! Thanks for your comment. We were talking relative to the UK and it’s prices so maybe she should have made that clearer in the video. Sorry if there was any offence taken there and appreciate your feedback!
Lol, you guys are so funny! 😄 Going to Krakow this month and I’m so excited! Great video.
