This is much easier than the instructions provided by Curt. For the ground wire, you could just drill a pilot (no pun intended) hole and use the screw provided--it's self-tapping. Also, you don't need to drop the wiring through the hole in the lower part of the vehicle. Curt instructions say you can just let the wiring that connects to the trailer go underneath the lift gate, just not too close to the latch. That way you can stow the whole wiring in the jack area and keep it from the elements.
The wire harness has extra loop of wires to make it easier to pull the factory harness down through the side access. if you pull a little harder the loop releases and leave the harness easy to access through the open panel. No need to get on your back to plug in, the extra wire allows for simple connection.
I wonder why Honda didn't put a longer wire on the connector. Great idea to connect without taking out all the panels. It would have been nice if you showed how you tied the harness wires below the hitch. Also, once installed how do you route the wire to the hole at the bottom?
Thank you. This was a very helpful video.
Saved me lots of time, thanks!
Helped tremendously thanks ! Instructions that came with the kit did NOT make sense or show the same images
You’re the man!
Better video than the one uhaul has, they had wiring hanging off the back bumper lol.

For the ground, just remove one of the screws that is behind that upper cover. No need to drill or find an extra screw😊
Excellent thanks!
