Sometimes I forget that the apostles don't actually need teleprompters. Knowing that he's delivering these teachings and quoting these scriptures off the top of his head really struck me today. Idk why, but this realization just seemed to really emphasize his message in my mind.
Having served my mission in Finland, I LOVE that Elder Renlund leans into his Finnish heritage. SISU! The internal fortitude to ensure, keep on, overcome and triumph . This is the process of ACTING IN FAITH. I'm so grateful for the Atonement of Christ and for his sacred sacrament ordinance of regular cleansing. I pray for our fellow members of the church who are regularly missing the sacrament that they choose again to believe, that they choose again to experiment on the word, acting in faith- allowing God to bless them with his Spirit and continue the lifelong process of conversion. Keep on trying! Don't drive looking in the rear view mirror the whole time but look back only occasionally, to celebrate where you've come from while keeping your eyes on what's right in front of you...Zion.
During my mission I have always taught how enduring to the end is simply a continuous cycle of the four principles and ordinances of the Gospel. That's how I have always understood it and taught it to our investigators, hearing this from Elder Renlund fills my heart with assurance that my mission was worth it. Though I only got to witness a few baptisms, I know what I have learned back then was true, and I held them true up to this day. And having an Apostle confirm that to me makes me Grateful.
I learned so much from this. I have been a member since September 1997. I am very grateful for this talk. Every member should watch this, especially new members and missionaries.
I never thought until Elder Renlund mentioned the promise of the Holy Ghost as we take of the Sacrament willingly that it is in similitude of our receiving the Holy Ghost as a gift during our confirmation after baptism. I learned something new.
Elder Renlund speaks with truth from the Holy Spirit. I'm SO GRATEFUL to have a great variety of Spirit filled church leaders to hear God's words from🤍🕊
Powerful simplicity by Elder Renlund. Great apostle of the Lord. We ought to make, frequently renew, and steadfastly keep our covenants! Thanks for such words ✨
If you will begin to look forward, rather than from the rear view mirror, you can see again that It is still true. Jesus Christ suffered for us, died and was resurrected. He lives. Come back. You have a place, a seat reserved for you. Take the smallest step and look for Christ in your life, and begin to pray again. Open the Book of Mormon and the New Testament and find Christ again every day. Elder Renland is a true apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ.
“The church is not a museum of Saints, but rather a hospital for sinners.” Spiritual sisu … we engage with the Doctrine of Christ. Many are praying for you to come back and return. I pray that you can begin to feel the love Our Savior and Redeemer has for you.

Awesome talk, Elder Renlund!!! I loved it!!
I liked that term, "planned repentance".
This is exactly what I needed when I needed it. Trust in our Heavenly Father to direct your learning and growth!

Maybe enduring to the end actually implies progressing to the end.
Amen
Does anyone know if this talk has been translated into Spanish? I did a UA-cam search and couldn't find it.

What was his chosen profession?
He was a cardiologist
I used to believe this stuff.

If it was true then, it is true now. Come back! The Lord needs you.
I find it interesting that you still follow the church's talks. Apparently not all strings were cut? Might be something to think about.
