That being said, it really only matters for those who only dig these tunnels to be able to claim that they have "the first", "the longest" or "the biggest". They do these big works only to serve their vanities, especially since they are not the ones who pay! They never talk about the real utility of this work, the real benefits it brings to the public. But when they talk about it, they do propaganda, and never mention other more economic or ecologic alternatives.
