- A short video to show how to fix the splitting sports seats on the mk3 Audi TT. Audi charge a lot for this and with the earlier cars being out of warranty, it's an easy DIY fix. The trims are around £70 each from your local VAG parts department and taking things super slowly, it won't take more than 30 minutes a side. All you need is a torx T30 screwdriver and a trim removal tool.

Absolute legend. I've been looking for ages for a fix to this and I have seen these parts on ebay but wasn't 100% sure they would be the fix. Thanks bud!
Edit: do you need to replace the trim on both sides of each seat or just the outer side?

yeah, pretty much - there's a few clips where you can get a trim removal tool in and they should just pop out

hey - right hand seat, right trim is 8S0881318A - but they are colour coded too so make sure you confirm with your parts supplier

I got them from my local volkswagen garage, they all VAG parts. The trim are about £70 a side.
can a blob of glue be used instead ?

Hey yeah totally safe, you don't actually touch the airbag during the fix so no issues around that.
Unrelated but can’t seem to find any info on it. My drivers seat is creaking when putting pressure on the upright part I think it’s the lumbar support, almost like a baloon creaking against metal or something when it’s squashed and then let out when you remove the pressure, anyone help please??

Try and get your trim removal tool in where the clips are and pop close to the clips, it will come off
