I don't think that naming the school "The School For Gifted Youngsters" creates a us vs them mentality. Mutants have been discriminated against for decades! The public school system isn't providing them with a safe and inclusive education. So what's wrong with creating your own where you know you'll be taken care of. I guess I just relate as a Black America. Also, mutants are different. They have different needs than non-mutant kids do, the biggest one being mastering their powers lol. What I'm saying is that for Hope to say that the best future is one where we are all equal and the same is so unrealistic. We can be equal and different. Embrace the differences, don't try to erase them.

I believe that all humans are equal in the fact that we are all human. No one person or group is more important than the other in terms of worth. But people are also born with different talents, interests and passions. Some people are born to be better at certain things than other people, and that's okay. We're all born with an affinity to certain intelligence -- be it logical, musical, interpersonal, ect -- or even more than one. In the case of mutants and humans, the mutants have literal super powers. I don't think changing the name of the school they attend is going to change much. They'll never be truly equal in terms of skills unless every mutant loses their powers or every human gains mutant abilities. Humans will probably always be wary of them, and feel inferior to them. The problem that really needs to change is the feelings of pride, arrogance, inferiority and fear. Imprinting meekness and humility onto each generation so that it becomes as natural as breathing, reinforcing it as they grow. It's fine for them to take pride in their skills, just not to the point of being full of themselves. And they should also imprint self-worth and self-love, and teach that people shouldn't feel bad if they aren't gifted in the same way as someone else. After all, everyone's gifted in different ways, be it in the world of the X-men or real life.

You know what could be cool, if the dark phones they wished away came back to life (cause Phoenix logic) as Hope's opposite and wanted revenge, but couldn't kill her because hope is still connected to the Phoenix, so if she died then dark Phoenix would, so dark Phoenix would do a professor zoom and just make her life a living hell! (it is noted that i am not fully caught up in the comics)
X-men was already convoluted with history, but when Hope came on to the scene, I absolutely hated her, and still do. One, for the whole undeserved 'she's so important, the messiah, blah blah blah,' but it wasn't deserved, a lot like Skye on Shield. We're supposed to like her for superficial reasons, and not organically through character development. Secondly, she looked like Jean Grey and that was a total red herring, and three for her supposed bad-ass rebel teen personality that she had that was also unearned. She was not fully trained and was totally rude to Cyclops every chance she got, so the X-men had to constantly go save her, and four, her mutant power seemed so derivative of Rogue. In my opinion, they should've made her turn out to be Jean Grey and then grew her to Jean's true age, or made her related to Madelyne Pryor to explain why she looked so much like Jean or Madelyne, or changed her look completely once it was established that she wasn't Jean, because otherwise she looks to similar to Jean and Rachel for no apparent reason, unless I missed something which is very possible, because I missed a lot after years of crossovers, but A Vs. X was the last straw for me. I do think however, that you make an excellent point about Hope being phenomenal if she had the right writer/creative team to give her identity, her 'voice.' I've seen it done so many times, mainly with Jubilee, X-23, even Daken written well have become my favorite characters. So many writers tend to set the reset button to get a handle on a character and throw out recent source material for said character (Aurora is a great example), and that's a huge mistake if they are to grow. So maybe Hope's a writer away from stardom and being root worthy.
I disagree. She actually grows a lot. She has a hard edge because she was raised by cable in various bad futures and even then she actually DOES grow (as a child she's sweet but sad) and becomes nicer (she chooses to stand and fight rather than run like a coward; even her going into battle is because she wants to not abandon the people who fought and died for her). Honestly the people who are complaining that she's not Jean are being childish. Hope was a fine character and many people were just being petulant

Ryan Moore i like in Generation Hope when her teammates call her out on how she treat them it makes her question if she is a good leader or just a survivor barking orders at non survivors, plus I like that she gets her butt kicked a lot when she thinks she can win believing being born in a post apocalyptic future and being trained by cable gives her an advantage

It could be argued that Hope is a 3rd gen Phoenix host. (Jean ,Rachel and then Hope) She is one of the 3 that are truly compatible as a host. But Jean is the best. :)

She completed her task of bringing the mutant race back only for them to be sent to the brink extinction again just couple years after being saved from it. and Hope is nowhere to be seen now. Sinister got her dna after her battle with Siena blaze way back before Rachel was lost in the time stream and split in two , he was really interested in her because her dna was slightly different than her family's Dna in the regular universe, furthermore I don't think hopes powers are actually what they appear to be, I think she has a variant version of rogues powers due to the contact she had as an infant...
