I had a 1978 printing, and later bought the leather bound edition (which I sold a few years ago).

Nice. I’d love a mint 1975 paperback first edition and a first hardback edition mint as well then I’d be done with the Tao

      Hi Stephen,
Some great magazines on Bruce in the seventies and eighties in Manchester.
I'm from Manchester, but got into Bruce around 1982.
      I'm 55 nearly.
I trained in Manchesters Chinatown in 86 and 87 with the great Steve Powell.
Got my Brown belt under Steve.
So you'd remember Oriental World on Swan Street, off Tib Street.
I got loads of books from there and some super 8mm reels.
      I've still got them.
Great times, especially getting my KFM magazines from the Tib Street newsagents and eating in the chippy opposite it.
      That chippy is still there.
The old joke shop was great.
Nice to hear from a Mancunian.
      I'm still in Manchester!
      Best wishes!
      Tony 👍 👍

@antonysmith6457 hi mate, yes indeed, I'm from N.Ireland, but spent a bit of time in Manchester as a kid, had some family there, Oriental World was the best place I had been as a kid, it was awesome 👌 Actually got my copy if the Tao in there, picked up the JKD posters there too aswell as one of the Giant Roadshow mags. I had amazing times in Manchester, been back a few times with work and also been to watch a few big fights there too! Love Manchester ❤️

      That's a great story Stephen.
I got many of my JKD books by the Hong Kong club from Oriental World.
      They were such great times.
I envy you coming up in the 70s with Bruce Lee being right up there with all the Kung Fu genre atmosphere.
      Great communicating with you.
      Stay well!
      👍👍🙏🙏

Beautiful book Josh. I’m wondering if the lettering on the front is gold leaf.

The printed text is black. The gold is on the edges of the paper. I doubt they used real gold.. thanks 🙏
