Yeah I was unsure as to which one is considered the biggest. In my research I found that although Toba was larger in scale, Tambora is within recorded histories timeline, which means we have historical accounts of the event. It was a close call that's for sure. Tambora made it through on a technicality. I appreciate the fact checking. Comments like this help keep the channel up to date and accurate. I appreciate you!
@@TurnBackTime66 ……thank you, TBT! My fave factual study is Volcanology. Have read books’, ‘Tambora’, ‘The Worst Year Ever: 536AD’, ‘Catastrophe’. All brilliant, imho. Am currently reading, ‘Super Volcanoes’. Have yet to read, ‘The Rocks Don’t Lie’, ‘When Humans Nearly Vanished’ (about Toba), & ‘1816: The Year Without a Summer’ (about Tambora). Thank you for your postings’, & please, keep ‘em coming!
Sounds like you're really up on your Volcanoes! That's such a cool area of study. Can you give me your favourite volcano fact that you've learned recently?
………wasn’t Toba’s eruption, 74000 years’ ago, bigger than Tambora?
