Hard to believe this is over a year ago now!! Seems like a couple of days!!! I've probably heard this song over a hundred times now, and I still away something new each time! It still chokes me up! I remember waiting for this to dabuet, I watched it the minute it hit the internet!!! Absolutely beautiful!!!! What a piece of music! Everything sounded perfect! I thought at the time it just couldn't get much better then this! And now look at them! Holy cow!!! ROARH EVERYONE! BIGFANG4LIFE HERE!!!!
I just discovered this song a few days ago. It has earned a spot on my road trip playlist for the motorcycle. I listen to it and can imagine tearing up the night on a run going in and out of towns, different lighting, etc. Gonna have to make it happen soon.

MARS WAS AWESOMMMMMME!! OMG!! THE GUITAR SOLO... (OK, sorry i had to stop yelling!) lol OMG! Sam had killer guitar riffs! Melo had the vocals of a champ! Abby beat the drums like they owed her money! and Justin & Ethan were cool as cucumbers! haha! the song is already a favorite!

@@KristinKali Just in the few years I have been following, they have grown, changed, and matured tremendously. I last seen them 10/20, and seeing them again on 06/21. Pretty sure the all the changes in them will seem drastic to me. A lot can happen in less than a year with kids.

I liked you not stopping thru this beautiful power ballad. It even sounds better on my vinyl. Lol The expressions you gave says it all. Giving the love to Liliac and the art. I WILL CAMP AT MY DESK... to be FIRST to do those videos of LILIAC!! Side note! ** I love all older music 50's -90's...im not super-duper familiar with some uber famous artists music like ELVIS or Led Zeppelin, & The Beatles but I figured thats what UA-cam friends are for :) and I AM LEARNING! @@KristinKali you and I both super familiar with older music. As a young child, I was in the bars and listened to what they had on the juke box. My Mom was a functional alcoholic. And I studied music, mostly classical, however I have an extensive old jazz vinyl collection. I'm geeker than most. I drive now, so I hit and miss it on you tube. So wish I had technology like this in my day. When I played, I told people that there are talented people everywhere that will never get a break. I've played with them. Now, with technology, they can. I follow a few obscure artists, main emphasis is my Liliac though these days. My Mom was a bohemian type in her day, a Gypsy Rose Lee of her day too. OK Kristin, I could see that toward the end of the song, your eyes were starting to tear up just a little. Don't worry, it happens to a lot of us. Sometimes still happens to me, and I've seen this video dozens of times.
The visuals of Melody on the beach, Sam screamin his guitar on the rocks, Ethan's 5 string bass playing, Justin coming into his own with each new song, and of course Abby, one of the few female drummers who can slam the skins with the best of them. The whole band is just leaving it all on the ground in a puddle, AGAIN!! Your Reaction is spot on.
When I saw this video I just kept on thinking about how much labor it took to get that piano where it is. My college band had an extremely gifted keyboardist, but she was a tiny thing. On a couple of occasions I had the 3 other guys in the band help me drag a grand piano (like the one in the video) onto the stage so that Kristen could just blow people away (she usually used a 3 keyboard set up). It was quite an effort for the four of us, but that was a solid stage and grand pianos come with rollers. That was a beach, with sand. O.M.G.

The muscle it took to get this there was not only crucial, but its also a focal point, an aesthetic one that would have been missing!... it ties everything in this video together perfectly!! They used sheets of plywood to help get from the parking lot, all the way to where you see it being played. Was still a heavy task for sure. There is a "Behind the scenes" video they made for this, if you want more of the skinny. 🤘

Great reaction ! Its hard to type through tears. This song brings on the water works EVERY time. Melody's voice just goes right to my soul. I thought I loved it before but now that I've listened to it through headphones on vinyl it in another league all by itself. I have a box of Kleenex stashed next to my turntable.

This song is just beyond awesome. After reading others reactions to it, i found that i was far from the only one who would shed a few tears over sail away!!! Its just fantastic!!!!! I am astonished by this band . Great musicianship and melody’s vocals soaring and pulling me into it all.this is music at its finest!!!!! Love it!!!
I can hardly wait to get to see these guys live in Oz. I think they will be their own massive headline by then. I’d pay top dollar to see them in a big stadium.

@@KristinKali they did a cover of hey ho when they were VERY young ! It’s really good I think Sam did most of the singing then and also some pop songs with just Sam melody and Abigail probably when Justin and Eathan were just baby’s Sam does the singing in those as well definitely worth a look
Kristen, you have become my favorite Liliac reactor. You have that same look of wonder and amazement we all have watching their videos. A quick lesson on guitars. If it has 4, and sometimes 5 strings, it is a bass guitar. If Melody is playing a guitar it will be the bass and Ethan will be playing rhytmn guitar. If Melody is just singing, as she now does, Ethan will be playing the bass....and killing it!!!.The reason I bring it up is when you get around to reacting to The Trooper, Ethan plays a mean guitar solo and deserves all recognition for it. Keep up the great work and looking forward to seeing more Liliac reactions.

Love liliac. There are several kids bands on UA-cam. They all have there good and bad points. Most of the time it is post production and equipment (backing) this helps the over all sound quality.(does not make them talented though). They are now living in Georgia.
I heard they were banned from the Santa Monica pier.(crowds got to big) go figure, right. I like the cover of "the Trooper" because Ethen does a solo.
P.S. I grew up with Aerosmith, Led Zeplin, Boston, Chicago, AC/DC etc.

I think this is probably Lilica's best original song they need to do more of their original stuff they just haven't I know that they got kind of got pigeonholed in a way as being a cover band but they have some original stuff that's good this is probably their best I know they sell themselves as a independent band it's time for Dad to let go of the reins sign with the record company because in the end you are hurting them not helping them they will get everything that they want from a record company and when they get it they can walk away and then they can be independent it's just almost unattainable in the manner with which they're trying to do this they want to be independent and keep it that way but in today's music world they just can't do it I don't believe anyways but yes I I like what you said about them that this is everything you said this band is can go places and it will eventually you know I just want them to do more original stuff especially if it's going to be like sail away
