I have both the HD Aptx cable and the AZ09 Pro. For sure, at $37, the AZ09Pro is my favorite BT accessory for my QDC connected IEM's. It's been a fantastic purchase and IMO, unbeatable...especially at this price level. As for the cable...I tend to disagree with this review. At around US$20, no other BT cable comes close in terms of connection/sound quality. You may not like the rubberized look, fair enough. However, it is IPX5 and I find it quite comfortable. No issue with fitment and mine stays comfortably in place...note that I do wear glasses too. Sure, it is light in construction...but I prefer this for a long day at the office. There is one thing I did with these cables to add to a secure fitment...an after-market purchase of a small magnetic clip made of a gray rubber that exactly matches the color of the cable itself. This little clip, which I bought in a pack of 6 for just under $1 ea. is nice because it allows me to clip the cable to my shirt collar, thereby keeping the controls/mic in a fixed position for clear calls and consistent signal reception. With the cable attached through a little rubber loop on the clip, the cable never slides off my neck when the IEM's are removed from my ears and left hanging around the neck. Bought these clips on AliExpress. The other 5 clips I use to neatly manage my other regular IEM cables. AliEx: "6 pcs Magnetic Cable Clips Magnetic Cable Organizers Twist Ties Earbuds Cords Winder USB Cable Manager Bookmark Clips 6 Colors" Lastly, I bought on AliExpress another pair of BT5.2 HD cables that came with a blue/silver IEM-styled cable. At a price of about $45 (delivered) from AliEx: "MMCX Cable DIY Wireless Bluetooth 5.2 Qualcomm QCC5141 Chip Support APTX Adaptive Sport Earphone Cable Dual Core DSP Audio CVC8". This cable has superior specs and is more than 2x the price of the KZ cable. However, there is much more white noise with this cable and the plastic controls, buttons, and battery casing are cheaper in construction. The cable material itself is more like that of an IEM cable (i.e. after the splitter) and is of decent quality. Sound quality is OK...but the white noise is noticeable at low volume. Call quality is very good. I will not buy this particular cable again.
Very useful info. Cable type sounds better in terms of zero to low signal loss and interference in my opinion. But cable may feel filmsy especially being outdoors. But not as bad as the stock cable which gets entangle easily.😀May I ask for the picture of the clip?
@@BandOnABudgetNZmy man! I'm between those two. I think I'm preferring the aptx hd because of the ipx due to I use them mostly on the bike, sweating and possibly raining. The helmet hold them onto my head so that's not a problem.
I just tested my new BT 5.0 HD Bluetooth cable ! Works beautifully, no distortion, no disconnection and it’s full of energy. Though there may be minor loss in original sound quality but to me it sounds the same as wired connection. Yes, my advice is to use the correct ear tips for better seal and the cable hanging on the ear will be held in place with comfort as u pull them downward. So be sure to get quality music in the first place. I always trust wired connection, but this semi-wired Bluetooth impresses me! The only thing that I’m unable to test is the AptX-HD , because I’m only using with iPhone. Back to my enjoyment ! Cheers !
Sound quality wise, how does this aptx-hd compared to az09? I dont really understand about sound formats & whatnot, but my friend told me aptx-hd supposedly sounds better than aac, if only your device support it. My iphone still not supporting aptx though. Oh, kz has new product support aptx-hd, it is the kz az09pro!
Yeah when my AZ09 arrived in the mail KZ released the Pro edition which I was a bit annoyed about but in terms of sound quality the APTX-HD to me sounds near identical to the AZ09 - there are some minor differences but for human ears it can be hard to itentify and test reliably. You'd have to use a high quality audio source or DAC with a frequency response mapping to tell the difference. Some ppl have message me saying they have heard the AZ09 has potential disconnection issues but I have never experienced it... yet. I couldnt enjoy the APTX-HD because the ear hooks were not securing the the earphones in place very well so I preferred the AZ09.
I don't care for how it looks i had one for over 2 years and it holded pretty well it Even doesnt changed the soft texture in the cable and never decomposed, it was perfec until i got robed. i just whant yo know sound Quality review now hoy tour feiends gonna be impressed for You stuff
A main difference between bluetooth cable upgrades is the Bluetooth Codecs supported, which is not mentioned in this review. The KZ AZ09 only supports SBC, AAC codec, whereas the AZ bluetooth cable supports all: SBC, AAC, AptX and AptX HD. AptX is superior to AAC, but if you have an iPhone (any version) they only support SBC and AAC. AptX is only supported by phones with the right Qualcomm chip. The KZ AZ09 Pro also supports AptX
I tried few Bluetooth receivers with my KZ iems but I always ear hissing/white noise. may I ask if with these two I will ear hissing? it is very annoying. thanks
The AZ09 has more hissing that the APTX HD. I only notice the hiss when I first activate it. It stays present for a few seconds then disappears. It returns for a very short second right before I play music then the music drowns it out. I think my phone acts like it has a noise gate. I do notice hissing but it's not bad enough for me to make he not enjoy the product. Sorry to hear the hissing is bothering you thag much.
APTX HD definitely generates some hissing noise when there is no music. It’s quite noticeable. I can’t find a decent Bluetooth adapter for the KZ type earbud connector. I got a little Fiio amplifier but that’s quite chunky and there is still a cable running from the earbuds.
I also have to add the the mic in APTX HD is emergency use only. It cannot be used for regular calls. You have to bring it all the way to your mouth in order to be heard. It generates very muffled and low volume voice.
The cable is most certainly great to use, but my only critique with it is the materials used, especially for the ear hooks. I've used the cable for a while now and the ear hooks are so misshapen that they actually pull the earphones out, rather than holding them in.

For anyone, who want to buy kz09, don’t! If you’re using 2.5ghz WiFi’s. Because sometimes you will get connection loss between modules. But if on 5ghz WiFi’s, it’s work fine.

I wonder if an über expensive receiver like iFi Go Blue has hissing too.
I tried iFi Go Blu and Fiio BTR5 before and there are no hiss even when I turned the volume to 80%.

Volumen is higher on cable due the aptxhd and qualcom chip, az09 sounds lower, you dont know about audio kid
