I've just received this bluetooth adapter and it was a total disappointment. This cable is unusable to me. There's a constant background noise that ruins music, especially if you listen to music with few instruments. I can't believe you didn't mention that aspect in your review.
I just got this model. Sound quality is good especially that my phone has APT-X HD. The only gripe that that I would say is that the buttons are hard to press. Aside from that, I would definitely recommend this.
Is good for gaming?
You can't beat the TRN BT20 for a truly wireless experience. Not touched any of my other adapters since.

@@JuliAn-qj2ld I think you made a right choice because of this issue. Of course it's a pity that KZ used such a modern bluetooth protocols like AptX HD and didn't use high quality amplifier herewith.
I have the KZ APTX-HD, when the phone is side or back of my body, the sound interrupted. I don't know if mine is defective or is the bluetooth is poor.
mine too if i "turn on" it say "turn off" but the sound quality is good and better connection to the bluetooth nice upgrade 👍

I'm excited to get my new kz zs10 pro or zsx along with this new connector.
aptX-HD may improve data transmission a bit over the older aptX version allowing for higher bitrates (provided ideal conditions). Wish LDAC will come to KZ too.

I expected this adapter to be of good quality. Besides microphone being notoriously bad, the most important problem is that there is very loud hiss which is distinct even with audio playing.
I have both the original KZ aptx and the new KZ HD.
I notice very distinct peaks on the bass frequencies (at low volume levels) on the HDs that are non-existent on the old KZ bluetooth cable.
I suggest to listen to the intro of Billy Eilish’s “Bad Guy” for reference on this anomaly.

Warning! I bought these. These are NOT HQ. They have a lot of background noise (a fast varying beeping) which at low volumes is as loud as the music and noticeable even at normal volume.
As bluetooth they are convenient but you have to switch them to the wire every time you want to really listen to music. Wishing I'd just bought some cheaper true wireless buds instead.
NOT in my experience. I am using mine around 1 year with either Samsung GS10+ or from PC via the FiiO BTA30Pro (in TX mode) w/a 12dB after-market antennae. Very good connectivity and range around the apartment with the FiiO transmitter, delivering AptX in this configuration. Frankly, liked it so much I bought a second AZ09Pro set. One in factory QDC/C-pin, the other modded to B-Pin [simple removal (with a razor) of 2mm from leading edge of silicone-rubber C-Pin shroud to reveal more 2-pin and allow for clean coupling with B-Pin IEM's]. As for quality of the sound...put simply...and unless I want/"need" LDAC...my FiiO BTR5 (with after-market cables) has been collecting a bit of dust in 2022.
The title of this video is incorrect. The KZ AZ09 Pro does NOT offer AptXHD. The marketing material states "HD Sound Quality" AptX. Do not be fooled by Marketing 101 tactics. If it were AptXHD it would state so, clearly. How do I know this? I use the FiiO BTA30Pro as my BT transmitter from lossless files on my PC. The color indicator on this BTA30Pro is PURPLE, meaning AptX for this device. If it were AptxHD that BTA30Pro indicator would light up YELLOW.
That being said, the AZ09 Pro is IMO an exceptional value (often US$28 on AliEx discount) and has worked flawlessly for me for about a year. I bought a second AZ09Pro from my + experience with the initial set. Why two sets? One I have modded for B-Pin after simply shaving with a sharp razor about 2mm from the leading edge of the silicone-rubber (C-Pin) shroud, revealing more of the two pins and allowing for a clean coupling with my B-Pin IEM's (e.g. S12, Oilina, T3+, HZ Heart Mirror). The second set at have left unmodded for QDC/C-Pin IEM's (e.g. TKZK Wave, CCA CRA, etc.).
IMO, avoid the AZ09 and the AZ10 (unlike the AZ09Pro it does not have the QCC3040 chipset)...just stick to the AZ09 Pro if you want a very competitive BT5.2 wireless experience with your IEM's. No ANC or ambient, of course (for that, I use TWS earbuds). However, for AptX/AptXLL/AAC/SBC audio quality experience with the convenience of handsfree call quality (CVC, TWS+), they are really terrific for every day use (home & office). Excellent battery life (8hrs on hooks/42hrs on case) and enough power to drive the S12's to sweetness in Power Mode (3 successive clicks to left earhook), though the battery will lose about 15%, down to ~6.5hrs in this mode. Just my personal experience. Good luck!

With zs10 pro on low volume I hear noise from amplifier, cable too long, ear hooks too soft.
Yes, noisy, specialy when no music is playing, soft wires, and most funny part, it tells "connection SEXceeded" :) I am somewhat disappointed with this BT adapter too.
Purchased the aptx 2019 module 4 months back. Sound quality and battery life is definitely improved. But it has a strange problem, it stays connected to phone as long as some sound is playing. Once the music/sound is stopped , it disconnects and switches off from standby mode. This is a real problem, when there is an incoming call ,u suddenly realize the earphones are not connected anymore. Dont know if this can be fixed by some way, firmwire upgrade or something, wny idea anyone ??

I'm using the TRN BT10 and I experience some buzzing a few milliseconds before and after sound comes out of the buds. Does it happen here?

I got it today , but there is so much white noise. While using it whether with smartphone or windows laptop. And second issue I hear only white noise on windows until sound level 20 out of 100 and after 21 I am beginning to hear audio. What do you think did I get defective product or it is just normal? Nice unit, but not a fan of the grey either. I use the Fiio BTR3. It’s more expensive, but a great sounding wireless amp/dac for using with any of my headphones, earbuds or IEMs. Works great with Porta-Pros!

By far the worst thing about this adapter is the weak ear hook shape. I've used them for a while and ended up using the standard wire because the ear hook shape on the bluetooth adapter no longer has any shape. The adapter works against me when I use it by actively removing the KZs out of my ears when I'm going about my day.

great vid. sadly i just got the old version.... anyway, both versions may be similar, and i noticed that voice prompts ("power on", "connected", "low battery", etc.) are set too loud in the old version which may be the case also with the new version. by any chance, do you have any idea on how to turn voice prompts off? tia.

I use this with the ZST and they have a terrible connection. The sound cuts out just from moving my head to the side or due to movements during walking. Also, the cord is unnecessarily long to the point that it hangs from the back of my neck like an awkward reverse necklace. Sound quality is very good but the connection strength is very poor seeing as it keeps dropping when the phone is in my pocket.

I bough this adapter to be used with KZ ZS10 Pro and it has quite noticeble background noise ("hiss") which is quite bad! Does your adapter has background noise?

Yes, it is. This model has this flaw (unforgivable, in my opinion).
I tried using it with kz zs10 pro. it has a terrible background static hiss noise that is disturbing when listening to soft music or speech.

Hello. Wondering if anyone can answer my query.
I use my KZ Aptx HD while working out. It's been with me for a couple of weeks now, but this morning, when the battery was low, I turned it off. The usual voice saying "power off" did not finish its lines, and when I touched the pad where the on/off and volume section is, it was a little bit hot.
I tried charging it, but there is no blue or red indicator. And the unit was heating a little bit. I keep on pressing the on button, but unit is still not turning on.
Does this mean my unit is defective already? Any suggestions on how to fix it? Thanks.
Clean the charging pin contacts on both the device and the earhooks with alcohol. Check the charging port...if anything is damaged? Also, was there any moisture damage to the device? If not, try to perform a RESET. If that fails...attempt warranty-replacement with seller (official store only).

I don't have the CCA C12 but I have one of these cables in the "type C" variant that I use with a KZ ZSN/ ZSN Pro X/ ZS 10Pro and I believe this is the same connection as on the CCA C12. It is a good cable.
