    I put this on my amazon wish list and my wife got this for me for father's day. Best gift ever, plenty of room for everything I need.

    Great review! Thanks, I’ve come up with a tackle system that I “think” is going to work for me! Lol. A Jansport 15” laptop backpack with 4 - 3700 waterproof trays and 1-3600 trays. Aside from that I got the Plano deluxe ammo box for all soft plastics with homemade dividers to separate worms from craws, etc... it also had the top inside tray for other things as well. Really nice for what I’m lookin for. The backpack also has tons of other storage features including a place for a water bottle. Those waterproof 3700’s are awesome. I wonder why they don’t offer the spinnerbait box in it. Just the 3600.

    I would use a keyring metal clip and thread it through where the pull tab was.

    Slide some old round key rings thru the slots good as new.

    I have always used Plano boxes and hard and soft sided gear bags. My big one holds ALL of my boxes and take a smaller one fishing. Never had a an issue.

    The bag looks awesome and I just ordered one. I like how with that bottom it will be easy to strap to my kayak. The only thing I can't figure it is why they would put so much emphasis on it being waterproof but then not make the lid big enough to cover the opening.

      I have had this same exact bag (size as well) for about 6 months and I absolutely love it as well. I bought it for the same reasons (no zippers, hard plastic bottom perfect for sitting on deck of boat, and waterproof to a certain extent).

    Snap swivels work great. I have a few bags with them.

    It looks like the bottom is designed to be tied down, but my question is, can I strap another box on the bottom?

    Is this bag made of waterproof material? I know the bottom is rugged and waterproof but what about the rest of the material?

    Luke, my question is will a 3700 Box fit in this bag? I have a waterproof Plano I've cut and made it for me and I take it on every trip so if the Bag is for 3600's is there any chance a 3700 will fit, or is it to tight.? Thanks for your time. Tight Lines and Full Limits to Ya.!

      I’ve got the 3600 and I think the 3700 would be a little big for the bag. They do have a larger bag; the 3700 in the z-series. I tried to copy the Amazon link, but couldn’t figure out how. Hope this helps.

    • @BigK_ThirdCoastReds

      @@joe8758 Thank you Joe. This is probably tmi, but I have a 3700 bag. It holds 4-5 trays in the up right position with one in the hard floor and a multitude of zipper pockets. I take it in my truck when I bank fish or such, but when I'm in my skiff I wish I could find a SMALL 3700 bag that had the water resist bottom but only held 3 trays with a zippered pocket or two...without buying new 3600 gear.! Hope that makes since and again thank you for your input. Tight Lines to Ya.!

    What I don’t like about that Bag is I don’t think it has a handle for easy carry. Only has a strap. I have a bag with only a strap and it’s a pain especially when you get some wait in it. If I’m wrong and this Bag has a handle in addition to the strap let me know. I have another Plano bag that I really like but it does have zippers. There are no numbers on it. I’ll try to send a pic.

    • @Saltstrong
      @Saltstrong  5 років тому

      Instead of the two handles, they went with one smaller one at the top which serves the same purpose. The con is that this new handle is small so it's tough to hold it along with other gear when going to/from the dock. But the pro is that it's much easier to grab when you just need to quickly grab it with one hand.

    I am a big fan of Plano bags! Zippered bags are fine around saltwater, but a big NO NO around saltwater! I am shocked to see on you old 3600 that the zipper pulls failed YET the zippers are fine. My zippers around salt water ALWAYS get fused and locked up from oxidation..metal or plastic zipper teetch...still get locked up! Don't toss that old 3600 bag! Simply attached a new loop to the zipper head and add a tactical cord pull. FIXED!
