    Hi kelvin, can you do a video on discussing the knowledge from this video with that from your Top 5 ETF video? It's challenging to understand the differences between the stocks you mentioned in this video with excellent stocks such as IUIT etc. So , what how do we decide between Index funds and ETFs? What are their advantages? Just an idea.

    GXC or MCHI - For China market? It is forecasted that China will dominate the market in the next decade. In any case you are familiar with this China etf's, do you reckon GXC is better than MCHI?

    u look young kelvin. may not be a good strategy to DCA into global ETFs at your age. cos when the net is too wide, there will be weaker fish that pulls down the stronger swimmers. use focused ETF like those S&P 500 related or invest in SG property. once u made it, then do global ETF to diversify and collect dividend.

    Hi Kelvin, watched your dividend portfolio video and fully agree with your overall philosophy. Just wondering, why don’t you consider VGT/XLK as their returns are higher than IDFs despite the withholding tax...AUM are higher and expense ratios are lower too, if not wrong.

    • @KelvinLearnsInvesting
      @KelvinLearnsInvesting  4 роки тому

      Hi, how did you determine the returns are higher? I tried comparing the price in google: bit.ly/3e4HuRl , but it seem like the performance is similar. VGT/XLK didn't fall under my radar bcos i was just looking for ireland domiciled + accumulating fund criterias. Otherwise, the 3 tech stocks doesn't seem to have any obvious difference between them.

    • @gnaiseefhokyrneh
      @gnaiseefhokyrneh 4 роки тому

      Kelvin Learns Investing You’re right... I mixed up the ticker symbols my bad haha.. end of the day the index both SXLK and XLK are tracking is the same. One point I would consider though is the differences in liquidity in terms of AUM. Are you ok holding SXLK long term with its low AUM? As I’m quite noob at investing, can I ask does accumulating fund mean we “avoid” the 15% withholding tax indirectly? I also tried looking for databases on IDFs but couldn’t find a good one, how did you do your screening for IDFs like you did dividend stocks on SGX?

    • @KelvinLearnsInvesting
      @KelvinLearnsInvesting  4 роки тому +1

      The low AUM should be alright i feel, overall i might spend slightly more when buying/selling. But at least it's still possible to buy/sell haha.
      For accumulating fund, we'll still be taxed. So the reinvested dividend is already less 15%. Check this article talking about it: investmentmoats.com/money-management/guide-dividend-withholding-tax-interest/
      For index fund i didnt really screen though. I js (accidentally) found out about 3 fund portfolio. Then from there i found this article: www.firepathlion.com/the-bogleheads-3-fund-portfolio-for-singapore-firewalkers/
      As for screening, this website is really useful: www.justetf.com/en/find-etf.html
