Ofc :p can you recommend any tutorials/methods for improving on pixel art? If you have the time to talk on skype (i can pay if need be) i would love to hear some ways to improve, i myself am trying to learn games design and finding it difficult to progress with pixel art. I want to be able to do the art for my own games so they don't look terrible.
there are a lot of basic tutorials on pixel art available, the rest really depends on you, observing other pixel artists, having a basic knowledge on drawing, art, shading, etc. follow Sandy gordon, Saint 11, James T., Valenberg, Cyangmou, etc. Some of them put tutorials as well.
Man, great work. found you in tumblr and I was amazed. I'm starting to get more into pixel art now and your timelapses really helped me to improve my workflow. Congratulations mate! subscribed and following! :D
Thanks for your video. I'd be very happy to see some new ones. Can you tell me which tools do you use? Where can i change all subjects with the same color for example? It'll be very usefull.
I use photoshop cs5, sadly, either you need change manually a color in every layer (with the fill bucket, uncheck continuous) or do it when "save as web image" and change the specific colour there.
that's pretty much when it comes to size, but do start doing small sprites first, all I use is pencil, fill bucket, marquee, layers. there are some basic photoshop tutorial to prepare for pixel art. Cheers
the thing is, you don't only have to be good at photoshop, you have to have a really good imagination, so kudos to this guy.
that's also just practice.
OH god this is the best thing i see in my life , ur work is insane, i hope u will continue .
Oh, wow, you actually do the sketch before making pixelart? Sweet, i admire you even more now =) -vertibirdo
Thanks Vertibirdo, Yeah, sketching first helps plan the piece better.
