Most 9 and 10 year olds write songs about dinosaurs or skateboards and Hanson writes this heartbreaking masterpiece about the soul-sucking dread of knowing the people you love the most and think will be around forever could be gone in a fingersnap. Bravo, sirs.

Not all 9 or 10 year olds. Tbh, I think my sis is gonna write about Princesses and pink things. While I write about my past and things that I never tell anyone. But I agree with you on Hanson pouring their hearts into songs.

I never understood this song when I was a kid and thought it was nonsense, though it has a catchy beat. But 24 years later when life hit and I lost family members and people I love, this songs hits so damn hard and actually got me emotional. Whoever you are, always appreciate the people you have. Tell your loved ones you love them. One day you'll wake up and they won't be there anymore.

When they started out (we are roughly the same age) everyone wondered why I thought so highly of Hanson. I used to be told "they are a one hit wonder" (while they listened to other one hit wonders I won't mention out of respect) Now, more than 20 years later, listen to them... Pure talent right there! I wonder where those who laughed at me are now. I would just like to show them, not only mmmbob, but all the other amazing songs these guys play. They started off young and turned into one of the best bands by loving what they do.
