I'm in a coding class, and it doesn't seem that hard to code in the Red and Blue gimmick idea. Now I'm not fluent in coding so I can't pull the code out of my ass, but it does seem like it can be done in maybe even just 1 or 2 lines of code.
Honestly i dont think kyoto would be that much of a fighter and more of a support like F,ella where she heals and stuff like that. Im guessing that if they do add her as an ally she would just basically be like all other support builds.
gorilla should be respawnable. it isn't some certain dude(s) like red and blue or cruel king, these are normal, mass produced gorillas you can lure with bananas. Also, the gorilla's attack should be buffed to 3 or at the very least ignore armor. with how much you're going to need to replace a 12 hp target, it's actually quite fair and balanced.
Even after nerf, Cruel King is still OP Scepter Strike can Cancel out some enemy turn entirely which is insanity because you may end certain encounter without enemies have a slight chance to attack if the scepter chain Red and blue is balance, no cost too great, medium HP with consistent damage output Then gorilla, it's not too great, I just wish that you can summon more of it, atleast three per fight, A Reliable Guaranteed 2 Damage every turn is useful enough (for me having a usable dodge skill 2 guaranteed damage every turn does impact a lot).
I think Cruel king having 3rd ability called "The loyal knight" is my concept. Basically same like your idea but instead it will protect the king for 1 time (can stack up to 2 knights) is basically like dodge boost but NOT really dodged the attack. And they stand in front of the cruel king ofc. Pros: Pretty good for blocking instant kill attack (Specially like hatred). Cons: No use for non-instant kill (Is feel useless to be honest) attack and the AOE damage can take ALL the knights at once.
The cruel king was so broken before. He could literally carry your ass in the pit if you upgrade him with charge and had the ability to go through defense but now they nerfed him and decreased his damage.
What if they add something like ally's skill? Like you can reduce the sp for using it by only use the skill that the ally were set. They will perform the skill then instantly go away( similar to cameo system in MK1 for instance.)

I really dig ur idea of an enemy spliting up when it reaches 0 health And theres also some other ideas for enemies n their gimmicks i would like to see in the game.
Like maybe an enemey when it reaches a specific health it activates a rage mode where it does more damage and unlocks new moves. And i would like to see an enemy where it can trigger a status effect that priotize other enemies to target that player it chooses(only works when theres ally or with teamates)
Wait I got a funny idea for a summon card Last Stand sets summon hp to 1 adds bleed and 20 armor aggros all enemies and buffs the damage depending on the damage taken I thought this would be a good idea for a summon but yeah this is way too op to be used on a summon since it doesnt kill you Maybe on a player instead and when he gets revived -2 armor or 2 dmg bleed that lasts forever until battle ends
i dont think buffing gorilla to 14 hp isnt a good idea or maybe not fit because enemy gorilla only have 8hp so it just kinda awkward for big hp difference.
Looking at summons through game progression, they should get better based on what chapter they're obtainable from and on how hard they are to obtain in said chapter. In my eyes, the gorilla should be overpowered for chapter 2 enemies and somewhat viable against chapter 3 enemies. (Basically a sidegrade to red and blue.) As for cruel king, I am fine with him being the best so far due to him being a part of what can be considered as an end game area. I also predict that the summons of Chapter 4 will be greater in quality than the duo and Cruel King.
I feel like kyoko isn't ever gonna be a call card and instead just a reoccurring NPC like paper Luigi, I think that because if they were to make Kyoko a call card they would have done that already

Sure that won’t work very well on UltraHardMode but neither will red and blue. If she does become an summon, she should appear in the back, like you said, she's not a fighter.
But she might get attack is a 30% but maybe you can protect someone but you will get the full damage useful for low hp players or summon that are low.
You do know that she could be hiding a nuclear bomb in the suitcase?
Also I think it would be cool if instead of collapsing she runs away instead when her hp depletes, it doesn't effect gameplay tho

note when summon respawn they will have 25 or 50 percentage less hp
