She said it's as much as her car, sounds like she had to work for the things she has, wasn't just given them which I think is how a child should be raised. Oh you want that new shirt? Gotta do chores for 10$ a piece or get a job. That'll teach kids about the value of money.

@@lizzie0canada9roxya that’s crazy. Her dad is the ceo of a huge bank. They’re mass millionaires

Agree with most of it but you must be joking about that ugly dress.
What a delightful episode. Don't forget that every bride on this show needs a narrative. More likely, when the wrote into the show she explained her dad was paying but that she felt guilty about it and wanted something on the cheaper side. Then the producers asked her to talk about that, play it up etc so the ep would have a 'storyline', so to speak.

@@emilian7421 it doesnt matter what dad said. She should have put her in a dress in her budget FIRST. That way SHE could decide of she wanted to take her daddys money. They shouldnt have put her in and expensive one first and then gone more expensive. They should have worked their way out of her pricerange. She already felt guilty, they shouldn't have done it the way they did.
@@Delicate_Disaster and it's UP TO THE BANK either, THE ONE WHO PAID for it. If she's happy in that dress, why not? Don't you want your child happy, eh? In the end, SHE WANTS that dress after all and HER DAD also love it and willing to paid for it. And you just outsider. So yeah, take it. They both happy with their choices in the end.
@@emilian7421 the problem is that consultants usually go over budget just to excite the brides and then make them pay. even though the dad has money and said he would pay extra, they still shouldve listened to what the bride wanted. perhaps raise the price range if she didnt find something she liked, but i think they shouldntve started with a dress 3k higher than her price range. it just really showed how they were more focused on the money than the bride herself
Lori: you really can't put a price on happiness
Me: then why don t you sell it for free
It's not possible to SELL something for FREE; it can only be given away if it's FREE, because there's then no price on it. Just clarifying the erroneous statement.
😂😂😂
You cant put a price on happiness but you can put a price on fabric time and effort put into each one of those dresses
What Lori means is no matter what the price something is cheap or expensive. If thats what makes you happy then you go for it.
It's the effort you're paying.
One of the most beautiful dresses I've seen and wonderful dad. Absolutely wholesome
What a beautiful, classy woman, inside & out! Some of these bridezillas on this show should take notice! And what a loving dad & mom she has. She's so lucky. Made me cry. I just lost my dad, 3 months after my mom. They were such good parents, too 😥 😔
Thank you so much for your sweet comments everyone! Our wedding was truly magical. And for the record, I wore the dress I had made to the rehearsal dinner. Follow me on IG! We have three kids now! :D
I wish you wearing the historical dress was in the video!!!! I've been commenting here, just disgusted at two, century old, family heirlooms being ruined for nothing. Major relief!
Sara Danser I forgot to mention in my original comment that I wore the vintage dress in our engagement photos as well! As far as the dresses go, they were in very poor shape prior to being “brought to life”...heavily stained, lots of moth damage, and extensively dry rotted. I had the dresses professionally cleaned and we used the salvageable parts to create the new dress. Needless to say, it has been well loved and I have since worn it in our most recent family photo shoot! :)
OMG this makes me so happy! You're a wonderful person! Bless you ♥️♥️
Do you have any pictures of you in the family dress? I’d love to see :)

I LOVE how she didn't want to spend that much on her dress when she wasn't even paying for it. That's parenting done right. I hope I can do this for my daughters when they get married.
