@stigg46 you wouldnt need anything like a pressurised cabin, you'd need a jet fighter pilots pressure suit to maintain the blood flow in the upper body and head so you dont pass out, your neck wouldnt last long driving it how ever but you'd become used to it after hours of use.

@paradigmse7en no it isn't his lap time starts at around 33-35 seconds into the video, his laptime 1:34 seconds into the video is 1:00. Not speeded up, the X1 really is that fast ingame
@paradigmse7en lolk. That's why the car is doing 260+mph in some spots and the time is exactly half of a normal road car. If it was just sped up it'd show a 2 minute lap, not 1 minute laps.
@TheCarverkid it appears under 'concept by gran turismo' or something similar once you get to lvl30, along with all the other tuning factories (amuse, nismo etc, they're all at the end after the standard manufacturers). it also costs 20m credits.
@stigg46 wow, pressurized cabin, you really made my day :D Pressurized cabin is only used in aircrafts to maintain constant pressure at different altitudes. It's not like this car flies. What I was talking about was G-Force acting on a car/driver. Car, with a grip like the one above would create enough G-Force to put driver unconscious on the first turn. Basic physics, and pressure has nothing to do with it.
@PepePL89 F1 is around 5.5g max nowadays i think (in the red bull especially) the X1 is equivalent to a jet fighter on afterburn according to adrian newey.
@elwingy it's just making harder compounds to cope with higher loads. The initial friction coefficient will be low but it won't drop much when under high pressure. Truck tires cope with far more weight on them. ;-)
@muulka it isn't even that, while the technology exists the the vehicle would pull 9 lateral Gs(for the sake of reference an F-16c Fighting Falcon will crank 9+ Gs when performing a maximum performance turn at roughly 550KNOTS) at somewhere between 150-200MPH suffice to say running a spirited lap around the Nurburgirng would kill the driver. Attempting to sustain a turn at its top speed (300+ MPH would very likely cause the driver to blackout.
@PepePL89 the max g-force of this car is 8.25G which is on limit of what a human can handle, all the stats of this car are on the gran turismo website, and it is 100% plausible to built using todays technologies, that was the idea of it all along.. to discover the limits of what a race car could be using today technologies without limits.

@NickYoungPisan yep true mate i feel that my driving is getting better since playing these games i have bought the whole series from first day they were realsead excepect for the 1st but when i got the 1st strate away it was definatley worth buying them when they were getting released, really hard courses to getting x1 courses over with just keep trying i suppose though
This car is amazing and what a pilot. I drive now the Peugeot 908, its fast enough to win a lot off races in the proffesional and extreme serie's butt still not fast enough. So i will spend all my time in the Sebastian Vettel race to get that car. Have fun and Enjoy Life !!!

For example in formula 1 you have like 4G in turn. @stigg46 I know what it is, but what you don't understand is what it does, and that it has nothing to do with what we're talking about.

OMG this is entertainment at its purest form. UNBELIEVABLE i own forza 3 and i have gt5, this beats everything. Oh and thx now i know how to get the X1 been driving like a madman now and i'm only level 17. many more levels to go ^_^
@thebossisheretostay doesn't matter if it is a ps3 or xbox....it's the capture device who does it! PVR.... with HDMI all games look awesome on both consoles
@50nollieman Be level 30 A-Spec and be B-Spec lvl 35 At A Spec 30 You get the challenge if you get gold you get the prototype if you get silver you get the normal one if you get bronze you get the Vettel version.
@Austerers A F1 designer designed it it's completely real, put the parts together have a g-suit and there you go ready to drive it but i bet it would cost like 100mil to drive, it's a simulator it's where they test new cars if it wasn't possible it wouldn't be here.

If you put the controller sensitivity all the way to 7 for a ds3 controller, it handles like a steering wheel would, thus increasing your chance to get silver or gold.
@shadowtsunami yeah m8 the penalties are well annyoning if they wernt on there then i would of completed it, that what makes the x1 events hard for people, it really sucks

This is still the hardest track i'm still doing. I can't get 2 clean full laps, and end up getting disqualified. The closest i got to bronze was the last corner, and my car just fucks up. I need help.

@DevineGamingTV That is not completely right. The reason behind this thing was the idea to create a car without careing about money or rules that could limit the performance of this one. So they used everything they had to make this one an outstanding concept AND with stuff that really exists! If you don't believe me look it up.
Hey Hakru. Have you actually gotten silver / golds from the challenges? I only managed to get bronzes from Nurg and Suzuka. In Monza I got gold, because cutting one corner.
Are you playing this with a steering wheel? I played for a month with a controller and couldn't get near a bronze. Bought a wheel, 2nd try bronzed every challenge.
It's like one of those cheat cars from NFS which seem to defy physics. This car is essentially like piloting a jet on road with its wings generating massive downforce. The G-loading on this thing would be insane for a road vehicle.
It looks a bit arcade. The car doesn't oversteer...just little bit of tyre squeering on the fronts...It goes trough the bumps like their nothing...you get the kerbs and the car even jumps a little bit. I don't know...just think GT5 simultion a bit too weak.

I think that it is impossible to drive this car flat out in the real world because of the level of g-forces that the body would be subjected to. I have read it can generate upto 8 x the force of gravity and to imagine your whole body being subjected to that level of weight and/or intensity is simply hard work. Still a car with no technical regulations...

Uhm, i think they have seats that reach all the way up to the neck to keep them stabile with cars at the performence level of a Red Bull X1 :P But for now, we wont see any cars near this one, technology havent got this far yet ;)

I just beat it yesterday but with all bronze. I had a joystick but it was still really hard. It requires a completely different mindset to drive this car. In your mind u have 2 turn before u think u need 2! Its NUCKIN FUTS!
When I hit level 30 on A-spec I'm not going to stop until I have gold on all three tracks, also is this easier with a wheel and will I need a good wheel to do it if so? And can this car be used in A-spec and B-spec events?
@Jellyform It really isn't.... Think tyres, engine fuel pick-up, actually producing the downforce.... All they really did to make this was design a futuristic-looking car and turned up all the game stats to 11.

@erikosius The car has excellent steering and so does the driver. The key to have higher speeds on sharp turns. ;)

You get one if you have bronze, then yout get another one for silver an another one for gold.
