The fact that these matches in the aftermath are seen as rivalries is a huge compliment to the club of Bodø/Glimt. And that Mourinho had to use dirty tactics is also a sign that he was legitimately threatened by what Bodø could do in the last game.
Yeah, Roma-fans were in ecstacy after beating us. What they didn't understand was that we didn't feel beaten. We felt lucky and happy to be able to play football in that kind of company. At the end it was bitter sweet having been cheated the semi-finale. Hopefully we'll be able to qualify for CL this season💛💛

I am a Celtic fan, and watched with horror as Glimt destroyed us. No excuses, no caveats. Before I hear, "Yes, but Celtic play in Scotland, which is a European backwater", bear the following in mind... Celtic are 6 points clear of Rangers, who have shredded Dortmund, Red Star Belgrade, and now Braga.
Folks, that is a truly fearsome squad. Dismiss them at your peril.
Funny is that Legia Warsaw beaten Slavia Praha, Leicester and Bodo/Glimt - all quarterfinalists - and Legia is struggling to stay in 1st tier :D

@@flame6242 Bodø/Glimt were weakened offensive by injuries (Solbakken, Sørli and Boniface). Bjørkan had to leave the first meeting with an injury. None of them played the rematch.

In Norway the season ends in late fall/early winter and starts in the spring. Bodoe is up in the northern part of Norway, which means if Bodoe Glimt had real grass, it would all just be a mud pit..
we also have storms with heavy rain once in a while, it would completely destroy the pitch
No, i have to tell you Are wrong. If u look at a map who show the Growth possibilities in area’s it say that grass can be good grown in Bodø, the grasspitch in Trondheim (lerkendal) is perfect, and the weather are the same in Trondheim as bodø
@@johannesgujord7258 You absolutely wrong about the weather compared to each places. You should know well how different the seasons are in every regions in Norway. Of course you can make grass grow well in all regions in Norway. But you can not use it as grass on a fotball pit. The artic climate makes it way more difficult to maintain through the soccer season. The summer season in the north is shorter and colder than other regions in Norway. And you ignore this fact on purpose!

Remember when Tromsø had a grass-pitch at Alfheim, or more precisely, a mud pit. Look up Tromsø - Roma for example.
The maintenance cost of having a grass pitch up north are just ridicilous.

The video you showed was filmed by a British journalist from the independent. He stood outside the player-hallway, so you could barely see what happened. The real video was filmed inside the hallway by a security camera. It apparently proves Knudsens innocence. It also lasts for 10 minutes. Bodø sent the footage to the police who further sent the footage to UEFA. And I guess UEFA just wants to keep it secret? Mourinho did play tactically well though. It was a deserved win.
No news that UEFA wants to prioritize the bigger clubs, or the ones they favor themselves. We can all remember Barcelona getting the free passes against Chelsea and Arsenal in the Champions League. UEFA is a shitty org, only after money.

The fact that you actually find Roma's disgusting behavior funny is absolutely mindblowing. The fact that Pellegrini in his statement pretended he was still at the stadium when Santos attacked is an absolute disgrace. As a matter of fact he was already on his way to their hotel. And that anybody believes that Kjetil Knutsen shows how easily the media can manipulate people. I don't know if this is normal behavior for Roma or if it's all Mourinho. But no matter what, this kind of repulsive behavior should not be allowed! 💛💛

here's what nobody may not know but Nuno Santos may been lifted the suspension cause he was at Roma's dressing room and such before / after the match while Kjetil had to be in the stands

honestly the first leg started before the match Nuno Santos chirping and screaming at Kjetil Knutsen for the whole match from the beginning, Kjetil tried to tell him to f off and let the game play... until after the game Nuno Stalking Kjetil after the post match presser I think it was and I guess Nuno went up to Kjetil screaming in his face before putting hands on Kjetil and "wrestle him to the wall"

@@trigoria7477 Dude, Nuno has been penalized for this exact behavior twice before attacking Knutsen, and then he was suspended AGAIN in a Serie A-match later that year. It's obvious that UEFA let this one slide for the bigger club.
About that fight, the final police report i saw said that the roma keeper couch grabbed bodø managers throat to choke him, then the bodø couch headbutted him xD
Also, Bodø is investing their europe earnings on a new stadium, built half underground so the earth will warm the pitch a little better.. Norway is pretty far north, but also Bodø is even far north in norway again, its above the artic circle, so would be a very good achievement to keep a perfect pitch up there..

Yeah, the first game Jose and Roma underestimated Bodo and play the reserves who barely played in the season. Most of them were shipped off in January. Only Kumbulla and Carles Perez won back his place by working hard and playing well when called upon.

Including our manager being in the stands, including our club being worth less than tammy abraham only 2 years ago, including living in the middle of nowhere in artic climate
Here is the deal. lets hope they meet again and that Mourinho has to face Bodø/Glimt, on the artificial turf, but this time at 10C below freezing and some harsh north westerly wind. AC Roma deserves that for sure. A double set of Long Johns is a great description of this meet. This will give them a taste what winter sport is, like cross country skiing.

Chances are Bodø/Glimt and Roma can meet again. Should the oppertunity present itself in Europa league of 2022/23. Won't meet now in the group stage. As BG is in group A and AS Roma is in group C. But who knows what might happen after group stage?
The first match was the one where Bodø/Glimt smacked Roma 6-1, not the 2 - 2 in rome was afterwards, that kinda makes the 2-2 more impressive, as they were taken seriously
These 2 teams might just meet again. If Dinamo Zagreb beats Bodø/Glimt in the playoff to Champions league tomorow (August 24th 2022), then Bodø/Glimt will play the group stage in Europa League. And AS Roma will also play Europa League. From a standpoint as a Bodø/Glimt supporter I really hope we're done with AS Roma. Too much teatricals.

Vålerenga played Glimt a few weeks later. Travelling fans showed up a banner saying "Rettferdighet for Nuno Santos". (Justice for Nuno Santos.) Pure class. UEFA are easily fooled. What the Roma staff did after the game was staged. And the people who are handing out bans are easily fooled. Roma has been around more often than Bodø/Glimt...

Nuno Santos was highly likely the one to blame, just look at his record around the same stuff in serie A, it seems like its a standard last dictch effort to put other teams off, btw the roma fans on their last home match, threw glass bottles, rocks and lighters at families with small children, talk about petty people

Time for Bodø to play against Zagreb in the Champions League qualifiers. While I sincerely wish Bodø could march into Champions League, it will also be a victory if they enter the Europa League. Maybe it's time for UEFA to draw Bodø and Roma again.
p.s.: I'm playing Bodø in Football Manager 2022. Instead of beating Roma, I built my rivalry against AC Milan🤣

I may be a Rooaaammmaahhh fan, but Bodo could at least put a hybrid grass-artificial turf, like their fellow Norwegian club Rosenborg from Trondheim have done, especially if they want to keep playing at this level. There's a reason why UEFA prohibits finals being played on artificial turf.
tbh you are probably right. I discount the importance of grass a little because I grew up in playing on turf a lot of the time, but turf really is terrible on the knees
Bodø is above the artic circle, Trondheim is not. Being able to maintain a grass pitch in this climate is very difficult, bordering impossible to keep up to expected standards. Or else they would have obviously used real grass.

Somehow a partially accurate reconstruction. I am a AS Roma fan and I follow every little news about my team. You have missed the so many interviews in which they said they were superior cause they won 2 times or when they said to be happy to face Roma again because they can beat us hands low. So much hubris in one single club. Mou responded to that in the italian press releases, saying that he has never met a team that likes to talk so much as them. Besides, it's not just Roma, in Norway everybody dislikes Bodo cause they pretend to be good, but they do exactly the opposite.
Well thats mostly false, I live in Norway, and well Bodø/Glimt are a special team cause their only focus is themselves, they always play the same way wether its against Roma or a lower division team in Norway. They only care about their own performance infact they are special cause their only focus is their own development and they dont care about results or the other team. Mourinho and Italian media did alot of propaganda and created very false News about Bodø befor the game. Also Norwegians generally never like a Superior team. So because Bodø has been as Superior as they have been Norwegian media and people dont like Bodø because they dont like Superior teams. Bodø hasnt been cocky or done anything bad, however the supporters are a little cocky though. Bodø is struggling cause every team makes it their lifes mission to beat Bodø glimt in the league and play 11 at the back. And Bodø/Glimt has really struggled at that but still 3rd place now, and looking a lot better. Hopefully the many new players will start to settle in and Bodøs injury problems will stop.

Dude, I'll cut you some slack on what they said about the draw cause I think something got lost in translation. No one ever said they would beat Roma easily, but yes the players did say they felt confident it could be done on the back of the two first games. What football player has ever said in an interview they have no faith in winning a fixture?
About Glimt being disliked in Norway you're not completely off. There was some stuff in the press this spring where they didn't come out looking to good, this is true. But it's over now and I don't feel like other Norwegians dislike the club, but they of course want to beat us since we've won the league two years in a row, that's normal.
Looking back I agree Glimt and the fans weren't exemplrary. Throwing snowballs at an opposition player is unacceptable. But Roma fans then went and threw glass bottles at Glimt supporters in Roma. Bad behaviour from both parts. No heroes, no villains.
About the incident after the match in Bodø. None of us will ever know exactly what happend. Tbh I'm a bit embaressed about my club claiming the video would prove everything, it doesn't. Do I believe Knutsen? yes absolutely. But I understand a Roma fan would rather believe their own man, of course I do.
If our clubs ever meet again I hope it will be all about what happens on the pitch and not all these other stupid things.
