Love this show and even from 4 years ago it works. 16 team, 1QB, start 9: Implemented the concepts of this and got myself an additional 1,2,3 for my picks 5-15. I now have 1,1,2,2,3,3,4 (7 picks in the top50).
Great channels. Lovd your content. I am exploring allowing teams to trade draft picks. Do you recommend or even have rules or guidelines that I can use to develop something for my league?
Thanks. I think draft pick trading is a heck of a lot of fun, but who is to say what's fair or not with trading the picks? I hate veto leagues, but I suppose you could put into place a like 9 out of 12 owners need to veto a trade within 24 hours type of poll system in place, this way 'league destroying' trades will get the veto, but most unfair ones won't have 9 veto votes out of 12 (2 of which are in the trade, so all it takes is 1 owner not to veto).
Would this be advisable in a dynasty league where benches are so deep, you can’t find anything in the waiver? Let’s say it’s a 12 team superflex league where you start 10 players, still worth it?
Well, as mentioned, you have to offer about a dozen offers per stage in the Draft Pick Trading strategy. And, in some cases, leagues just don't trade. I have one league where you could offer someone the best deal in the world and they would say no because they flat-out just don't like the idea of being wrong on a trade. But, offering in 'waves' I usually call it, that's the key. If you send out offers to 2 owners, you're not likely going to land this Draft Pick Trading strategy. As for the mid-season 2-for-1 trades, same thing here. When I land an awesome trade, I venture to say I send out close to 1-2 offers per team, so in some cases 15-20 total trade offers are pending at the time of acceptance. It's all about volume. And, if not, it might just be the group in the league.
As mentioned with the other comment above, it's all about volume. If you offer just 1-3 offers to 1-3 owners, you're not likely going to get anywhere with Draft Pick Trading strategies.... however, if you offer 1-2 offers per owner, so have near 20 offers up, that's when the odds increase based on pure volume. It sounds crazy, but it's a crazy approach. It's not for everyone, and it certainly takes a grip of offers being sent. And, if no one trades in your league, and I mean like ever, that's another part of the problem, and I have 1-2 leagues like this (where guys wouldn't accept a 20 dollar bill in exchange for my ten).

Who’s trading a 3&5 for 1 though?
Nobody…
@@StoyvensenI just traded my 3 4 and 5 for someone’s 1 6 and 7
Dynasty SF, start 11 pick stash:
2.06, 2.07, 2.12, 3.06, 3.07, 4.06, - 8 - 38 left. What would you do from here?
Nicholas Broadhurst 3 and 8 for as high a pick as you can? The. 3 and 4 for a Kamara? Imagine Kamara Odell Cook Chubb Evans lol

Nicholas Broadhurst .. yep, you’re still grabbing sleepers all over the draft but to build around rock solid guns 💪🏼 🔥
In deep leagues with many players per team this isn’t plausible.
this is identical to people trying to trade 2 "B" players for 1 "A" player mid season, good in theory, but just never comes to fruition

No one is accepting these trades...
