I agree on the Hourglass Ghost palette. At the time, I wouldn't have paid that much for makeup, but every time a review shows it, I wish I'd bought it.
If im correct bite beauty still has a store in new york where you can go make your own lipstick i believe its around $100 cause your paying for the experience of creating your own lipstick. One day i would love to go do this❤❤❤
So in my case you and most of your viewers will not recognize my go brands when in my teens; it was the 70s!! Moisturizer- drug store- Bonnie Bell in peach Toner-drug store- Sea Breeze Eye shadow-boutiques- Mary Quant in green. Young with no money then, we relied on drug store; going to a department store for makeup and skincare were out of the question. What a very fun video!!! Love the green chica!!
Same here! My go to teenager stuff was from German drugstores like DM and Rossmann and one of the brands was called P2. They went out of business YEARS ago but they were IT here 20 years ago.
Chanel had a sheer black lipgloss that was gorgeous over a pale nude lip. It was called Caviar. I also miss a fragrance-Estée Lauder Beyond Paradise. And lastly, when I was little I played in my mother’s makeup. She had a cream eyeshadow/liner in a gorgeous aqua shade. This would have been the early 1970’s and she might have had it a while. Think 1960’s aqua cat eye looks. I have been trying to find that perfect aqua. Maybe Lisa Eldridge can help me find it. 😍
The dose of colours aesthetic was my suggestion!!! The colour on temptalia makes it look a little deeper and more red (well compared to how it was on me), but I haven't found anything like it since! Not just colour but also feeling on the lips! Elf did something similar but the texture wasn't great! Any suggestions welcome! 😊 I'm sure you could do this series forever! And so exciting watching this knowing Mac is bringing Stone back, it should already be available in Germany but coming to the UK in Jan! 🎉
Hi Ella, like most people, I imagine, I’m rushing around because of Christmas, and even more so because my birthday is on the 23rd, but I never miss any of your videos. Some products I miss and can’t find anymore would definitely be the ones from Becca, especially their highlighter and some of their eyeshadow palettes. I still have some, but I can’t use them anymore because too much time has passed. I also miss the quality of Too Faced palettes. I remember their first collections were so well made and of great quality. The pigments stayed on the eye, and even if a year went by, they were still as good as new.😊😊😊😊😊😊
😢😢😢 I totally agree about the Body Shop raspberries 😢❤ That 5 in 1 eyeshadow, I have a tiny mini of a dark brown color and it does make a perfect base! It's probably 9 years old haha.
Also too faced sweatheart blush in the more brown shade and the Hot Pink one. They were baked, cute and amazing. I still have them and use them, I don't care if they are expired XDD the Brown one call Peach beach (on my skin is not Peach at all) is my favorite blush ever. And I think the baked formula would do amazing nowadays too
I commented earlier but went back to add something and can’t find my comment so, sorry if this is a repeat. Chanel lipgloss in Caviar. It was a black sheer topper to go over a nude or darken any shade. Lots of Body Shop products. They had a lime body oil that was so nice. I still like their Vitamin E toner. Estèe Lauder fragrance Beyond Paradise. And finally my mother’s aqua cream eyeshadow/liner. Think 60’s/70’s aqua cat eye look. I loved to play with this when I was little. I can’t find the right aqua shade. It was a bit green. Maybe Lisa Eldridge would know 😂❤
I was a huuuge fan of the Body Shop OG Vanilla. I was so mad when they discontinued it. And it's silly but I miss Jessica Simpson's Dessert beauty/body line. 😆
I miss the dose of colors eyedeal duos, they were awesome and they would fit more nowadays with the current trends of very amazing reflective and easy on the go shadows. I used to have the bare minerals cream shadow because at that time i worked for them in a beauty counter. They were not a best Seller at all for us and It was sad because they were easy, useful and quick too. FYI Bare minerals in Spain were famous for being horrible to their employees and I can say so, you only wanted to work for them if there wasn't another brand available to work for them (i was a makeup artist back then)
I was one of the people talking about the mac stone lipstick, and the thing is that, even if Mac brings back some older colors, they often change them slightly. So even if I hope everyday they will bring back stone, I also hope it will be the same. The cold taupe color is something you can find elsewhere, but for me the thing that makes it so special is the mauve-ish tone it has, it is not a straight taupe, it is *special* Wow, seems like I am really passionate about this haha Non usual colors in lipsticks are so fun but harder to find these days, I guess because of the clean girl trend Aside this, I don't really regret a lot of things because I often find better things as I gain experience in my makeup journey, and also makeup gets better with time (and thanks to the Indie brands also that stepped up) This video was nice to watch, it was a good idea to go back to memory lane :)
Omg I TOYALLY regret not getting the Hourglass Ghost palette! I also regret not getting the Guerlain summer release in 2023 Summer Jean eye quad. It has a beautiful lilac in it. This was when Guerlain was still going their baked eyeshadow formula. It’s so gorgeous. I waited too long to try yo get it. I will always regret passing on it😭😭😭
@ OMG YES!! All the Guerlain quads I have are baked. It was the most amazing quality. You can still buy them, but anything after a certain point is just regular pressed powder. Currently available baked quads are: Imperial Moon, Royal Jungle, Mystic Peacock, Metal Butterfly, Exotic Orchid, and Majestic Rose. The first year they were released they also did a baked holiday quad Golden Stars. I love it. The next April they released Summer Jean and that was it. Without comment they switched to a pressed powder formula that’s okay, but nothing special. Their baked formula quads are amazing… but they seem to have abandoned the formula. 😭
@@the_soup2284 the healthy foundation was nice but i couldn't stand the awful smell, It was like wall Paint. I agree with the heart blushes but i liked the ones in cardboard packaging
@ I did not realize they were so close! Obviously both are in the same language family but I didn’t realize the extent that they would be mutually intelligible!
Bite beauty lip balm was so good because it was made with lanolin. Lanolips is a good alternative. Not exactly the same but close and way more affordable.

I’ve never heard of the Mac Stone lipstick, but it’s beautiful! If they ever bring it back, I WILL be buying it, with the liner to match 😮
They bring it back!
OMG the body tea tree oil saved my face so many times. And Chanel vitalumiere powder foundation
What I wish I could have bot in my 20s? All of MAC!!! Especially the lippies and liner.

YSL The Shock Mascara… I will never get over this mascara being discontinued
Wait - the shock isn't with us anymore?! That was new news to me! but I never kept up with YSL so.. I used Shock back then too!

First in!🎉
Was it Cava lipstick by bite that you might be thinking of?
I looked it up and cava looks a bit too purple. The shade I am thinking of was a true greige 🥲
I still have my naked 2

to be fair - dutch and German have a lot of similarities. I can understand majority of dutch and vice versa.
