  • / xrm150 I share great stuff on there!
    This is the very first demo of the USAF F-22 Raptor for 2014! This was filmed at the SUN 'n FUN Flyin & International Expo in Lakeland, Florida. I am filming this with my new Panasonic HC-V750 camcorder! Doesn't it look great! I couldn't of gotten with without the help of viewers like you! So thank you VERY much and I hope you enjoy the show!

      Indeed. Going to see it this weekend as a matter of fact. Quonset RI Air Show and I was pleasantly surprised it was in the lineup. It's been a while since it appeared there and last year's show was cancelled as you probably know. Really looking forward to it.

    Even with all the America-hating going on these days - just looking at this aircraft and seeing it fly (in your video - Xrm150 - again ;) ) - it's obviously the best.....
    Same with the F15/F/16/F18......as much as people hate to admit it nowadays - our country continues to build the best aircraft in the world.....

    Great camera work, this is a very good video. I finally got to see the F-22 fly last month at Rhode Island, and what else can I say, it was spectacular, what an amazing aircraft!

    Was at this show. On that first pull to vertical off the runway, the noise was immense...you could actually feel it thundering in your chest...a truly magnificent bird...see it if you haven't....worth the time.

      I agree. There was no better demo than the one I saw in 2005. Before the demo started the pilot was S of the airfield doing the cobra maneuver i guess just for fun. It seems as the fail/malfunction rate increased with these planes they have eased up on there use. I dunno....just a thought. Also just one more thing to think about...the plane flying in this demo...was the backup =) the first one had its check engine light come on =p

      Haven't looked but I know it was 2005 Sun n Fun. Try searching on UA-cam. But he was doing the Cobra BEFORE his demo started....like he was warming up.

      I've heard that many times before. The Raptor has a leash on during demos vs real life capabilities not shown to the public.

    • @Warhawkvj
      @Warhawkvj 10 років тому +1

      dklearjet 100% true. They did the same thing when they came to AirVenture Oshkosh in 2006/2007. In late 2007 they formulated a demonstration routine as well as a public rule of demonstration for capability. No more public displays of those abilities. It makes the Eurofighter look pretty old.

    The f15 has a range of over 2000 miles; the f22, with its revolutionary engines, can probably go 3000 miles - thanks to supercruise (1000 mph w/out afterburner). This jet replaces the f15. Enough said.

    • @Xrm150
      @Xrm150  9 років тому +1

    • @MiguelRodriguez-zd6tq
      @MiguelRodriguez-zd6tq 9 років тому

      Xrm150 yeah. I know. I love the f15, too. And even though it can probably still whoop most jets, there are a few diverse threats on the horizon that may be too much for the eagle to handle. Even so, its overall history, specially its combat performance, speaks of LEGEND.

    I saw the raptor for the first time in 2006 in right away I was blown away by it's incredibly loud sound in my opinion it is one of the loudest jets on the planet and I'm really surprised it did not overwhelm your Mike's and your camcorder because most of the recording devices would really distort badly under that kind of strain unless you had limiter settings the closest I ever was to the raptor wasn't 2009 at Langley Air Force Base and I would estimate the volume of that plane is somewhere around 110 to 115 dB almost on the threshold of pain and deafness

      F-22 and F-35 do different things. Air-to-Air combat is very unlikely for a country like the US. 187 F-22s is more than enough considering that no other country is even close to fielding a 5th gen beyond prototypes.

      In Beyond Visual Range, the Raptor's stealthy characteristics make it nearly invisible to the F18 driver. In a close in dog fight, the Raptor has thrust vectoring and more powerful engines. The F18 is a terrific fighter, but it's Gen4, the Raptor is Gen5 and just a better airplane...more expensive, but it's the best air superiority fighter on the planet.

      DavidPvlch Your right the F-22 is superior BUT they now have the Advanced Super Hornet. Have you seen it? I know it is not as stealthy but it is 3x cheaper! So give me 2 Advanced Super Hornets and 1 Advanced Growler. I think that is a VERY lethal combo!

      Upload your videos that you took to UA-cam as "Unlisted" and then try using their stabilizer under enhancements. Might make some of your video look good.

    It's nice flying, but damn they really need to find a away to that Oxygen problem soon.

      It is to getting another system as of 2014. However this explains why there are more test flights and 2 combat missions. Since. 2013 update.

      ***** I'd rather have an airplane with oxygen problems than one that CATCHES FIRE IN MIDAIR like a PAK-FA T-50.

      Well as of February 2015 there going to spend 15M, to try to get it right.

      +Lythrox I doubt it really had those problems... Its rumored those problems were a ruse to integrate some of the hardware from the f35..Cmon guys... try to think like the sneaky US gov't for once.. I mean how many years did it fly before it has this "critical" error.. lol

  • @poseidon5003
    @poseidon5003 9 років тому

    Too bad pilots can suffocate to death flying it.

    • @b00stedrust
      @b00stedrust 8 років тому

      +Stephen Arseneau Lol this was a ruse from the gov't to take them out of service to give them upgrades that are derived from the f35...thats it.

    • @poseidon5003
      @poseidon5003 8 років тому

      +b00stedrust Dude...not everything is a ruse. They fucked up building the thing and had to compensate for it. It's all good now. And it wasn't the government who wanted to take them out of service to get fixed. It was the pilots who fly it who had to fight to make it happen

    • @b00stedrust
      @b00stedrust 8 років тому

      +Stephen Arseneau I think you're quite daft... there's been several reports this is what happened.. you think after 8 years..of them flying...They would've found this problem yes? because that's the amount of years it flew before they all had to be "grounded" for o2 problems.. lol... Besides America loves a confident enemy.

    The F22 project was cancelled because the US government knew that the continuous making of these jets will only cost them billions of dollars, and the US government also knew that F22s are no match against the Soviet's Sukhoi Pak-FA T50, which are now known for its reputation as "The Raptor Slayer."
    To replace the Raptor bearing its 1980's design, the US started the F35 JSF (Lightning ll) project as a 5th generation "Fighter" that they thought would avenge the F22's defeat against the Pak-FA T50's 5th generation combat technology. But once again, the US government's assumptions were all put into shame after discovering that even their 5th generation F35s were still have no match against the T-50s of the Soviets. And to cope up with this embarassment, the US then announced later that the F35s were not actually "Fighters" that would replace the F22 Raptors; F35s are just "Bombers" to replace the AV8- Harriers.
    Afterall, we now know what does the letter "F" stands for on both the F-22s and the F-35s. The letter "F" simply stands for "Failure".
    As of the moment, Sukhoi's Pak-FA T50s are currently a "Pain in The Ass" to the US Air Force.

      Oh? So, you're telling me that 4 T-50 Pak Fa prototypes are better than a plane that already exists? Dumbass.

      Common man! Soviet was in past. It is finished in 1991. Study history. Russia, Russia! USSR was communistic country. Russia is capitalistic one as USA)) Xrm150 is right about aircrafts. You (USA people) seriously think that Russia is USSR... With the same regime and politic. It is mistake. What do you study at schools?

      Iliya Panin Everyone knows that russia claims to be capitalist. No one believes russia is capitalist. China is Communist, and Russia treats their country the same exact way China does - only, worse. China just hides things from their people. Russia blatently controls the Russian people by making up lies on the TV.
