if you add an arpeggiator infront of simpler, set simpler slice by BEATS and the beat to 1/4 or 1/8 , then steps to your likings and distance to 1st or 2st or 3st and gate to 101 and then play some notes on your controller to get the hang of it. tons of break madness. of course thats highly experimental and the way stranjahs showed it is the "maximum control about the beat way". anyway nice tut again dr. stranj ^^
Sounds really polished. The mix and presentation on this, sounds spot on. Even with the cliche samples, it sounds like a banger of a track, that wouldn't have been unheard of in the late 90s.
Man you are probably my favourite youtuber making FREE videos on how to make your music sound better. I have just recently started learning how to use FL Studio and your videos have been a really good way for me to improve! I love some of your older tutorials and your way of explaining what you are doing really works well for me. Great content man!
this video has literally evolved the way i process my breaks, i used to chop them up manually (instant schooled by this video, and i have been making beats a while) this turned my 5/10 breaks now sounding like a 10/10. you learn something new every day. big up
Bro you are a beast at creating dance music. I am not even a producer but I like watching your videos as I enjoy how you make it look easy and see the theory and choices you make creating killer tunes.
I use to chop up all my breaks in recycle. But I've found it so much easier now in reason 11 you can literally bounce any breaks in Rex and chop my beats up that's already in the DAW. So much fun and it nicely makes it crisp, snappy and tight. Respect Stranjah great channel.
Hey Stranjah!!! …by chance, might you link me to the dancing tutorial you made a while back; I can’t seem to find it!!! …lol, it’s literally a video where you teach us how to DnB shuffle dance. I’d really like to learn. 👍👍👍👍🙌🙌🙌💯
Really nice video and content Mr. Stranjah! Welldone! Changed my mind about live composing view. Such great way for a fast and creative workflow ;) Thanks ;)👌👏
Big ups bro. I done a little re edit of dark soldier years ago. Just brought the 2nd drop foward really and re cued it. Now just give me a idea for something else. 😁
Nice video as usual! Is recycle just using forward backward looping? Like you can do in sampler in Ableton? I wish all samplers had an option for this!
You had the pitch envelope turned on when you were using Simpler to transpose, so it was effecting each sample making it seem more digital and weird. - Otherwise, great video! Thanks
NERD ALERT!!!! The actual original break came from SUPREME Dj NYBORN and the track was called Versatility. It was released in 1988 two years before 3x Dope’s Mr Sandman who they sampled it from.

That’s crazy. Really happy to hear that!
Siiiick. Love the choppage and call and responses. Seems like ur in ur natural environment working on this 'original jungle sound'
These are great. Love the zeroing in on classic breaks. So few on here do that deep dive and it's timelessly helpful
+ extra tip:
transpose each snare roll hit higher and higher to get another classic snare jungle sound. your welcome :)

I love it!, "You can do a wub here" ( beat plays "Wub" ... "Wub" ) I love it! thank you for the smile today!
They did say a wub a day keeps the doctor at the rave 😄
I didn't know that Recycle still existed. Especially not after time stretch updates in DAWs
Love these vids where you deep dive into classic breaks!
Me too!
It reminds me of old school pwer puff girls, and quite honestly that was my sheiiit!

as soon as you said Fresh i knew it was heavyweight uugghhhh such a chune!
@ 5:28 you can slowly hear his computer fan begin its flying sequence if you have the volume up😅😂

You mentioned Lemon D, but there is no Ray Keith without the real badman Nookie 💯
Love you Stranjah
Good stuff as always
Nice vid brother keep it up!
love your videos dude. But how did you make that washing machine sound? ;-)
"going gets tough" what a tune. Wonder which track came first?
Mate this is FIRE.
Do you finish these and release them?

This amen pattern is cool af, thanks for the awesome tutorial!
Nastyyyy, thanks 😈
Isn’t that break just hot pants layered with the snares from kool and the gang Nt ? Always thought it was
Nah its supreme dj nyborn -versatile, mixed with a gated Tommy roe -sweet pea break
at 8:06 you immediately get a new sliced clip, how do you do that?
When you import an RX2 file it also imports the midi pattern
@@STRANJAH ah, ok thx :)
Anyone else hear the jet tryna take off in the background
Im actually blown away none of this loop had any amen in it
Heavy
No other beat slicing soft does this type of tail stretching... I dont know why... recycle is so old and not updated anymore....
You're a mutant? Dope!
1:39 lol hopeless attempt at being youtube savvy.
You had the pitch envelope turned on when you were using Simpler to transpose, so it was effecting each sample making it seem more digital and weird. - Otherwise, great video! Thanks
Yeah it seems Ray Keith had 3 other aliases. Renegade, Armageddon and Babylon 5.
Dr Wootang also
Can you make some drum and bass for me please. I'll tell you what it sounds like and you can make it 👍.I can send you money for it?
Renee Lavice does a pretty mean remix of Dark Soldiers, was listening to it earlier. Love that hi hat in this break
but real breakbeats were originated in UK since the beginning of the 90's. Hard beats, cant remeber the label name though.. BK or something?
NERD ALERT!!!! The actual original break came from SUPREME Dj NYBORN and the track was called Versatility. It was released in 1988 two years before 3x Dope’s Mr Sandman who they sampled it from.
And the add the that it has the tommy roe sweet pea break layered behind it...
I found where Ray Keith got the break from....
ua-cam.com/video/jiKGDy5w0Ak/v-deo.html
Right at the end you hear 1 bar loop ....
What a boring way to make music, it was a lot more fun back in the day with hardware
It's kinda 🥱, and not cos it's made outa classic pipeline, but done without futuristic flavor, that's because.
Btw, *work is clean* . Your mood.
