Cannot reach the bottom drain bolt with anything other than an L hex wrench. Use a pry bar if necessary to make space for the hex wrench to go in. Start the hex wrench at 9 o'clock, then work it in. Once loose, take the hex wrench out and remove the bolt with fingers. I tried everything in the tool box, but just like the video, the L hex wrench did the job. I used a 5/16". There's probably a metric that fits better, but got 'er done.

What type of gear oil did you use?
do you unscrew the allen key screw up top as well to fill or take off the twist cap to the left, or des it even matter?
Is this the gear box oil? And if so do I need to worry about over filling it? where did you pull the hose from to fill it? Thanx
how many qts does it take to fill?
+Mauro Martinez I cant remember. sorry.

Do you know if this is the same way you change the oil for a 2006 SS 2.4l manual tans?
Yes, I believe so. Non supercharged or turbo.
I have a 2006 cobalt ss sedan manual trans. same kind of fluid for my tranny?
pretty sure, do your research though
how many laters my car is same
So your title says manual tranny fluid change but you poured in atf?? 😂😂
Do your research...You will find that this tranny, if upgrading fluid to Royal Purple takes ATF. Thanks for the comment.
It says in the car manual to use dexron lll, for manual transmission so dexron it is.
