Go to this page: buffalo.nas-cen... and go to the bottom. There are four passwords in the section called Password Summary.
Thank you for this video. The boot image/files are stored on all four disks in some sort of Raid array. For data there is Raid Array 1 and Raid Array 2 if these are deleted it is then possible to independently format each HDD, its possible to access data on a HDD externally say on a Linux box (to transfer large amounts of files quickly) but the Boot Raid Array gets in the way. Data is in Partition 6 and is XFS formatted. Easiest way to access the data, well:- store partition table dd if=/dev/sdb of=/tmp/tmp.img bs=1M count=200 zap partition table dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sdb bs=1M count=200 use fdisk to restore only partition 6 as primary with same start and end blocks as previously, mount /dev/sdb6 then you can read or write data as you wish, when complete restore partition table dd if=/tmp/tmp.img of=/dev/sdb bs=1M count=200 the TeraStation won't notice any of this, try first on a test data HDD not on critical data HDD

@@UltimateDIY i still cant get it to load the two files. I can't find the correct boot recovery exr for my model though. I have the ts pro2 and all i can find is the linkstation ones
ugh!! finally got it up and running. 2x 4tb drives for my cold backup. Thanks for the vid man. I had to find the another TFTP boot recovery for a different model and it would finally transfer files. Then I had to go through the 4 different firmware versions for it and the last one finally took.
I would like to ask for your help. Given a Buffalo Terrastation HS-DH2.0TGL/R5, entering the firmware goes until the TFTS boot recovery is fine until uImage.buffalo runs. But the initrd.buffalo timeout. Can you help me?

lol you destroyed your RAID ... one drive does not a RAID make. Can that unit be set to use each drive as a single entity? Great to learn that G Translate can read text. I need that for Chinese. Thank you... btw i really enjoy your sense of humor.
Indeed, I would probably need to invent one drive RAID :D
The unit can use each drive as a single entity, but weirdly not when writing the firmware to it, at that moment it really wants 4 drives, even if they are completely different. I think it's just something that they did not take into consideration when writing the software. Thank you for watching the video! :)
