Not that they don't get those wrong sometimes (looking at you ben10 & green lantern fight), but so far pretty much every argument about 'why mob wins' was either addressed, or unfounded fanboy claims like 'his power is literally infinite when in ???% mode' even though there's no evidence of it and DB can only go based on the feats that are shown. Even things like 'well what about the tornado he was emitting when in ???% mode and just walking destroying the city' and like, if you calculate that out its still pitifully low compared to the gigatons of tnt power output Tats has. Which sucks cause I like Mob more

Damn, Chapter 177 of One Punch Man, I think if I'm remembering correctly, has Tatsumaki be turned into a pretzel and then she puts herself back to normal with a side comment of it hurting a little.
I think the mangaka saw this battle and wanted to make that last scene of her fixing herself canon.

Well, it’s possible, but it could also be a reference to the same thing this battle is referencing- when Toichiro Suzuki from MP100 had the same thing happen to him. But the best part? Tatsumaki’s comment about hurting was to Fubuki in reference to her being about to rip out the poison capsule the enemy slipped her. She didn’t make any comment about what the guy had done to her- in other words, she completely no-sold getting Gordian Knotified.
@@neonal18 Yeah, the original reference was from Mob Psycho 100. But it's crazy to think that it also got done in One Punch Man, to Tatsumaki like it had in this episode, and then she also just puts herself back together like in this episode.

⭕️Genos isn’t that weak, he actually has beaten a lot of low disaster level monsters every day. And he keeps getting better and better with the upgrades... it’s just that he tends to go all out on monsters that are WAY more powerful that him just for Saitama to step in.
Genos is actually pretty powerful and capable, but still he isn’t even close to Tatsumaki’s power. Look for some of he’s feats:
Destroy the whole “house of evolution” in a single heat blow at his less powerful state and with no effort, burn from the inside a several km Dragon level centipede... people underestimate Genos a lot these days.
I love the reasons death battles gives to make them fight
As a person who watches the anime one punch man I can say that Tatsumaki won’t get mad over some chill dude asking for help, she would ignore him but she wouldn’t go that far. The only times she will actively attack someone is if they talk bad about her and she knows they can take an attack from her or she’ll just vaporize them for talking bad about her sister/threatening her. Also Mob seems like a chill dude.
I know you need to give them a reason to fight, just saying for those who don’t know, Tatsumaki isn’t THIS heartless.
Way back when this series first began they used to explain that the circumstances initiating the fight are irrelevant: They remove any and all morale qualms the characters might have to more or less “cut to the chase”.

Problem with broccoli math is it only takes into account the EXCESS energy Mob transferred, NOT how much he absorbed which we have no indicators on how much he absorbed to reach that limit.

For those saying that her head injury should’ve prevented her from pulling the meteor down, she actually pulled it down BEFORE she got hit. All she did afterwards was destroy his shield so he wouldn’t absorb the impact. Even if they did move from the location she pulled it down from, it’s still a big ass meteor. It wouldv’e still taken up most of that general area. We got a shot of Mob pinned down from it instead of him directly underneath it. Rewatch the video & stop complaining.

So how did she not take any dmg from the meteor then?
realistically that doesn't make sense. And this isn't a I wanted mob to win comment but I feel like the is such a convenient win. if she yanked a meteor from space a pulled it to the earths the velocity or speed the meteorite wouldn't be as fast if it were pulled from space because how much more acceleration their would be for meteorite. and higher acceleration and speed = power so if the meteorite was closer it wouldn't have been has impactful and it shouldn't have done that much damage. Also not to mention that it just feels a bit cheated imo. Cus that means that tatsumaki was bound to win from start because she had the meteorite on stand by, If she didn't pull the meteorite than would that mean tatsumaki would still won, we wouldn't necessarily know. Thus I feel like it would have been more natural if she just couldn't pull the meteorite attack off at all becasue of the head injury OR she found a different way to win

Also if he was anyone else, he would have died from being smashed into the concrete. So what did she expect him to die, or have powers to save him and then not try and fight back against this bully?
I get that they need the characters to fight, but this introduction just puts a bad taste in my mouth.

I was about to turn full Karen when Mob loses because of a meteor strike when I realized Tatsumaki crushed his shield force field.

@@QiqiSellsMcNugget First of all she had a head injury which would make her to weak because if they have a head injury they are weaker so his shield would not be broken also probably joke in the anime but hanazawa said he used an ability to fly over at the speed of light and mob is shown to be faster than him so that could mean somthing.

He didn’t, his shield did. Psychic shields r whet absorb the damage, once tatsumaki crushed it, he became as durable as an average kid.

The percantages in Mob Pscho is not Shigeo's "power level". Its just his emotional state

I find it astounding how many people miss this. It's literally directly stated.
When his emotional state deteriorates (percentage goes up) he begins to suppress his own strength less and less. "???" is stronger than "100". So it's not that big of a deal

He kinda did. He said that normally Tatsumaki beats Mob, but if he got serious, he's not sure what would happen.
Mob "getting serious" is implied to be his ???% state, but this is essentially moot considering how much more powerful she is than his 100% form. He'd be dead before he reached it. *Edit: "getting serious" apparently means being more focused and showing intent to fight/kill beyond his normal combat mindset. You still run into the problem, that she could crush his defense and kill him before he could hit a power level that could really stand a chance.*
The points made in the breakdown at the end are all very solid. I personally expected Mob to win, but while I'm surprised, the numbers weren't actually in his favor.

I can't say for sure whether either of them deserved to win the fight, and them saying he wins 40% of the time means that he still has a chance to win if the situation plays out right, but I mean he clearly got in some good head shots and twisted her arms multiple times over. And afterwards she just kinda untwists her own arms...? Bruh she's still fucked from that, dude!
The animation doesn't matter. They say 40% but by there own logic she was miles above him in skill and power. They just made it look like he was winning so the could clame it was a close fight.

In a show where they list out feats abilities and backgrounds AND THEN SHOW AN ANIMATION OF THE FIGHT PLAYING OUT that means the animation is part of their presentation and anything that they may or may not show in said animation should be taken into consideration. And another thing, if she was leagues above him in strength and ability then that's fine, they could've easily said that. But saying he has a 40% chance to win means that she doesn't outright stomp him. And that in turn means that he has the chance to win in certain circumstances. It's just a matter of them telling us, at least according to them, under what circumstances he would actually win against her.

Death battle isn't just a silly fan project at least not anymore. It is a business to them. They need to make money to pay the animators and "" research staff", rent for the studio, etc.
If they were honest and said hey She curb stomps him 99.9% of the time fans of the losing side get upset and stop watching. It's not like in their biggest death death battle they played it off that Goku could have won against the strongest interpretations of superman some of the time. It has only been a recent development that they progressively show less and less work and downplay the power difference between fighters.
It's just business to them keeping people watching their show and probably spending less time and money research to keep the show profitable if that's even possible on UA-cam anymore.
The animation is for entertainment. The winner is probably choose way before the finish the animation. It has to be because that's how it works.Look I try to see the best in people but i can clearly see the patterns and it leads me to believe they are doing these things on purpose.

The problem is, Mob was actually never able to completely utilize his powers to its full extent. I'm talking about the ???%. The manga ended without mob actually facing anyone with his full, uncontrolled, unadulterated power, except for maybe his fight with Mogami. Granted, it was basically just an alternate reality, but in that fight, mob was able to destroy the world when ???% showed up (signified by the "space" in the background at the end of the fight), but still nothing tells us that it was the limit of the ???% level. Mob never really got to a point where he was running dry on ???% mode. Finally, we know that Mob had to release the energy to the broccoli seeds, but we don't know if that was because mob was still at maybe 95% capacity, or 5% capacity. We don't know if that capacity was just with Mob in control, or is ???% included. They also assumed that ???% "shouldn't" exceed Mob's capacity, when Mob can only get to his maximum power at when he's at ???% level. So there's a good chance that mob's 100% mode regular capacity may be just a fraction of his ???% mode. We know that it's at least 10% because he was able to give 1000% to Reigen back at S1, but I'm sure it's much more. It's too bad that the manga ended without a real benchmark.
There is one thing of note. At the end of Mogami's fight, he says something about Mob's vessel shattering. Which means when Mob's vessel shatters, he gets to his ???% mode. But doesn't a 'vessel shattering' mean that there is no more limit? It's likely that Mob has ???% mode may NOT have a limit, however, when Tatsumaki fought with Saitama (an actual benchmark for power), she was getting to a point where she starting to hurt herself for using too much power and, we didn't see the world shattering in that fight. And it also tells us that Tatsumaki's limit is when she harms herself with her power so much that her body(vessel) becomes damaged beyond repair. Mob never got to a point where his ???% was showing a limit AT ALL both at the show, and at the manga. At this point, we'll probably never know
He is saitama with difforent abilities. Doubt he has a limit, it's just an insta win ability

He doesnt have any control over his ???% it happens when hes asleep or knocked unconcious. It seems he can tap into an unlimited source of psychic energy during this time but he cant differentiate between friend or foe in this state of being making him and his power completely unpredictable.
Yes, I like this comment very much. They underplayed ???% a lot in this fight. I’ve always seen ???% as a theoretical, actual 100% Mob, as in an actual full power Mob. If Mob never locked up his powers, then it’s likely he would be just like ???%, extremely powerful and out of control. While I do think it would have some form of limit, it’s much much higher than what they demonstrated it to be.
If I recall, Mob was in 100% when he absorbed the blast from Suzuki, and they used that as a feat for ???%. I think without a doubt that a ???% Mob could have absorbed the final attack from Tatsu, or any attack from her in general, but DB has a horrible record of mismatching feats, like with Jotaro vs Kenshiro.

Mob actually does stand a good chance considering he can still attack and defend at the same time without switching while Tatsumaki does have to switch very quickly, Mob doesn't share the same weakness of getting hit on the head and losing his powers like Tatsumaki does, and he can absorb her energy while Tatsumaki can only redirect the psychic energy of other espers. It just happens that Tatsumaki's sheer power output and speed generally blasts through Mob's hax 60 times out of 100.
