I can't really see how they say this space can't accommodate a family of four… It's actually a pretty big place and with the right furniture and room use, it could easily fit everyone in..
There is also a basement, which they did not show. Usually it is the dimensions of the house. If finished, it could have been the office and home room. The built-in desk looks nice, but the room could be used as a family room.
Why are they even moving? They have a bedroom for each child, a bedroom of their own, could use that room in the back as an office again, have a small garden and a park right in front of the house! It's quite perfect for a young, small family. They just needed to declutter all that huge baby stuff and maybe change some wall colors to make the space look brighter/bigger.
Think a lot of people in Canada don’t need more space…. but more creativity and organization! Also, this amount of baby equipment is totally over the top.
Decluter, decluter. That's a start for any seller, paint light neutral colors and lastly keep it clean, no one wants 2c anyone else's dirt. Truly speaking as a Real Estate agent . I always suggest these crucial things to my clients. It hasn't failed yet for us!
The house is big enough. Every child got an own room they just need to declutter rearrange some furniture maybe buy new ones. Children don’t need so much . Plus he will grow out of the things so they will have more space then. Don’t understand why they want to sell it.
I grew up in a house just like that but we finished the attic and basement. 2 parents and 5 kids. It didn’t occur to us that it wasn’t enough. We didn’t have junk everywhere either.
Why does anyone "need" all that gaudy, clunky baby debris?! We raised 4 children with the same Porta-crib and never needed a regular size crib. (They're not Baby Huey, for crying out loud, and when they outgrew it they were moved to a twin or lower bunk with rail.) One changing table that held all the diapers, powder, etc.; one high chair; one baby backpack (not one of those backbreaking models that looks like the baby could live in it!) and a simple walker without all the plastic bling.
My favorite moment-no more stroller, diaper bag, purse, extra bag-BABY😝 and 15 minutes later meet up with my friends-nope-baby on hip purse, walking IN with friends😝😝😝 🙏🏻❤️
This house is really small but nice, I would have bought it but of course I can see around the clutter, lol. The thing is, baby stage is limited, if they could get through it they could still enjoy their home.
A bit of a thought here;...the green of the bedroom had to go...but in another video they painted the entire sitting room applegreen for aț woman from Rumania😁
I'll never understand why real estate agents feel the need to say: here is your living room, your dining room, your kitchen...hum, we are not blind, we can see it! It is very distracting and brings nothing to the prospective buyer. The agent should let the buyer feel the place, echo their needs and concerns and bring forth information about the house that is not so obvious.
Three Weeks and they are worried ??? Such a different story here in UK, takes approx 3 or 4 MONTHS to sell a good clean house here !! Sometimes even longer . . .
Closing time takes that long, but you should get offers very quickly. Searches and mortgages take time, but a house should be bought within a few weeks
I couldn't care less how a home is presented, as long as it's clean and tydie that's all that should matter.. if it's on the market there should be signage out the front.. its still their home while they are living in it..
It seems that this was shot in Toronto, not in the U.S , as stated. *EDIT* I was right. Towards the end of the video, a viewer mentions "Toronto houses are long and narrow."
@@shqa574 Yes, good point. @@camjamcam1 I think Cousin said that the houses outside of Ontario province may not have basements. I edited my original statement to "older Canadian houses in Ontario". The basements are not fully underground. They have a window for an emergency exit.
The misuse of space is really buffling...This is a really decent place for a family if four,if they declutter and use their rooms with more intelligence..😳
Why do you actually have to renovate before selling ? If I bought it, I would again renovate when moving in, according to MY taste... don't the buyers have enough phantasy to imagine how the house will look without clutter and styled by themselves ? At least in Germany, as far as i know, we don't need this extra work for nothing. Interesting show however. :)
Because it may increase the sale price. Some people are put off by buying something they’re going to have to spend a lot of money to renovate. A renovated place can sell for much more.
Bright colours - yuk! Beautiful artworks and ornaments but, untidiness makes the house look smaller and dirty. Looks GREAT after make-over - love the details in the house. Question is, how long will it stay decluttered?
they had amazing furniture rugs and art pieces, she could use some of it instead of those cheap looking beige carpets terrible armchairs and that bench in place of a coffee table
I never got the idea of a guest bedroom… how often do you have guests? Really! How often? Where I live, an additional bed room will increase my mortgage by minimum 400€ à month or 440$ over 25 years. For that price I can Airbnb you 10 days à month in a 5 min walking radius from my house. If you think that it adds value or it’s an investment, let me tell you what you are loosing for 400€. Those are the 400€ of emergency fund, you may need, or the 3 weeks yearly vacation with your family or 4/5 work week so you can see your kids grow.

Baby's equipment stays in baby's room. No one wants to see baby's toys when viewing a house. He should have his office but she is cluttering the whole house with baby stuff. Men has his office, whereas baby stays in nursery. Living room is not a place for baby's clutter. Period. Entrance is a mess. I would run away seeing it. This place has a perfect location but it's cluttered and colors are horrible. Most home buyers or even renters will not look through clutter to see potential sad but true.
It must be old. This property in Toronto would be well over a million. And buyers would bid way over the asking price, even without inspection and sight unseen.
What kinds of jobs do people have in Toronto to be able to afford these astronomical prices? And what would an average monthly mortgage payment be on a half a million or more??@@TheCapsuleSuitcase
The host is annoying when it comes to children (and pets....) because she always moans about their presence. In one house there were four children and she got rid of two of the beds... Yeah, they need to tidy up and stuff, but don't moan that the presence of children is visible in the home as they have a right to be there.

You are right, that is exactly what these families lack, and add to that, no organizational system implanted, misuse of space and lots of clutter.
I was planning to live on 34sqm with my husband and a baby... only didn't come true because the marriage failed! 😅
I know, in other countries families live in much smaller spaces. Imagine Japan or China. That house was big enough.
For real. Larger than I had, and I have 3 boys! LOL

seen. I actually LOVED the old decor and colors!!! LOVELY COUPLE!
That's a nice house!
After decluttering and renovating their old house the family can live there and doesn't need a new house.
I don’t understand why these people “needed” a larger home…this home is great, large, spacious, good yard, you don’t need a gymnasium for a baby.
Speaking as a Brit how can they consider this too small for a family of 4 ? Try living in a ‘standard’ U.K. house 😆
These type of people think that a 1,500 sq house is small. Ridiculous.
It’s the US mentality, everything bigger and lots of stuff.
Once remodeled, this house is certainly big enough for 4.

That is true. And all this staging is not that necessary. Here in FL they show almost all houses cleaned and fixed but empty.
They distract you with all the talking so you don't see the mistakes of the house
