I like the combination of Behram's whipper snapper energy and Jarrod laid back veteran Aussie demeanor! I hope this podcast gets big enough to be on primetime network.
Issue has always been with sticking with legacy players and not taking harsh step for blooding in your young ones , this series was best opportunties to not overstrech bumrah and see how your backups do . After first test, india had to test their backups, issue lies deeper , in the thinking, i am happy england is giving opportunities to new crop but issue of persisiting with out of form players is concern, like ollie pope so ya india has enough talent, but they need to be nurtured faster
It's not that the big boys were not performing. It was a sudden dip, out of the blue, and it kept getting worse. The same Jadeja got a fiver today. And you can't just inject new talent in the BGT!
@@MrBHallion bro we have to move on, how will you develop players, its unfair . Replacements arent bad either. By the way more than jadeja , its time to move on from rohit and kohli, our batting was the reason for loss. If we had scored 300 consistently we would have won,
@@MrBHallion we lost series, whats use of doing well today. When we develop guts to remove senior players we will do well. Only format i am not worried in t20 becuase we will develop well with young players but thats isnt case in red ball
Indian batters are heavily overrated! They cannot bat against swing and seam at all (lost all away test tours because of their batting woes) and now struggling against spin too. It is going to be one long Australian tour.
Getting a bit sick of hearing every excuse other than how well NZ played, and how good they can be when they get it right. They beat them in the WTC in 2021, in different conditions and with only 3 of the same players but they've had other good players come through, who have admittedly been below their best form for a while but who have shown their genuine brilliance in the past. Sick of hearing about conditions. Mitchell Santner IS Mitch Santner, for all his mediocre first class record on pitches at home that offer him nothing. The truth is, as shown in white ball cricket also, he's been that good for a long while, and finally got the haul to verify his quality. The page attack, Henry and O'Rourke were brilliant, because they are superb, and Southee is a magnificent bowler and has been for years, and although he's been below his best this last year, with the captaincy not helping, he's been superb in India too, knocking over Rohit twice for nothing. Patel is a fine Bowker, although not quite at his best, we've seen what he can do, and Phillips, the supposed part-time, has simply developed into a fine all-rounder, not to be underestimated with his quick off spin, hence 5 for 45 off 16 overs against Australia at the Basin Reserves recently, among other good performances. Excellent batsmen even without the great Kane Williamson. So let's just give NZ some bloody respect. Regardless of finances, test cricket is not just about the big 3!
i disagree with india not having enough backups, the issue is we dont try. India had to try likes of arshdeep/dayal, mukesh kumar(who bowled well in a game vs aus and is similar to southee in terms of line and length bowler, or rana, give them international experience and put them in pressure situations, and prepare pitches which helps to prepare for bgt. Playing a games is fine but playing international game is best practice, moment rishabh had injury india should have tried jurel , played pant as keeper, and give jurel opportunites to prep him for bgt. we forget he played crucial role in india win vs england.
I think all of us didn't take NZ lightly. We took cricket lightly. Rohit Sharma's flock might be feeling like they overlooked the game. The game always wins. You can't defeat cricket. So your best hope is to go for draw.
Well Australia would have lost to NZ if the umpires didn't let McGrath bowl wide down legside so that we couldn't score in the last hour of the test. Incredibly poor sportsmanship.
Actually, only after an incredibly sporting declaration to keep a rain affected test alive, and he bowled wide outside the off stump - not down leg. However, that series was drawn nil-all out of 3 and yet was still very interesting. NZ played very well then too, but hey, we're talking about a series from 20 years ago for goodness sake!
Gosh … Jarrod is really milking the India Loss … I think this is his 4th or 5th podcast on the NZ victory … Behram Pune is 700 Meters above sea level and apart from the pitch the weather plays a huge part …weather which was humid which is not normal for this tjme of the year …
Agreed … but he did not devote the same Pod time to England losing in Pakistan 😇 as a podcaster he came up with Babar’s toe to explain some mediocre batting stats … and India loses two matches and he is talking era endings and averages … all I am saying is he can be objective … as for Behram … his bias is obvious and understandable … the glee in his voice can’t be hidden … India won’t do good for the next 12 months … tis a team in transition and yes Rohit and Kohli aren’t what they were and such transition always happens … happened with AU … happened with Pakistan when the likes of Misbah and his elk retired … the new generation takes time to build up … and inshallah I hope Pak under Rizwan thrash AU and then would like to see Jarrod’s take 😇
@@raamcaash i'm assuming the implication is that jarrod is a big australia supporter so he'll be upset if Pak thrash Aus but he isn't at all. He's stated many times he isn't that invested in how the australian team does, he only cares about the domestic victorian team. Also they kind of have to overanalyse this defeat if you think about it - they're both analysts who made a bunch of videos before the series started about how beating india at home in a series was the toughest challenge in world cricket and there were maybe only 2 teams in all of cricketing history that could do it. So now when it's actually happened and it's happened from losing to a team like NZ that didn't even have their best batter and their first choice spinner (Kane and Bracewell) it didn't make any sense and they have to analyse it. To put it in context for you, Jarrod talks about betting money on cricket on cricket8 sometimes and he said it was hard to find any bookmakers even offering any odds for NZ winning the series because nobody thought it was possible. It's obviously a much bigger deal than Pak beating Eng - Pak have only been trash at home for like 3 years, India have been incredible at home for 11-12 years.

Behram is super knowledgeable too. Great mesh of personalities for Jarrod and Behram..
I here to register my protest. Bring back the beard ✊
I concur. Bring Back Behram's Beard!
From BEARDram to BAREram 🤣
Love Jared! Behram is growing on me, like the bead is hopefully growing on him 😂
from deaf mango to sliced mango lol
Jarrod Kimber went from "what will it take to defeat India" to "what happens when India lose."
24:40 2nd spinner in Hyderabad was Hartley. 1st spinner was Leach who got injured and subsequently missed the rest of the tour.
Behram, bhai, ye kya kiya?

What happens when India lose Behram Qazi and Jarrod Kimber? Is that the question?
Behram shaved specifically so that everyone can see his smile on India's loss but don't worry we will bounce back 🙏
