@@stowesperformance I'm getting older so I remember a time when even performance cars were actually quiet stock. Now every mode sounds like straight pipes lol.
Just installed my long tube headers with my stock active exhaust yesterday. I also have a resonator delete with an X-pipe and it sounds awesome. It really woke the care up and with a tune it's noticeably faster! I debated on getting an after market catback but I don't my car to be obnoxiously loud. I feel with the factory active exhaust with the headers it sounds more refined and has a really nice tone.
Abso-damn-lutely. They respond good the the headers fornsure! I love my stock active mufflers they give the perfect tone for my liking, and if I want them quite, they actually are very quiet.
I have an S550 and was thinking of possibly adding long tube headers from Kooks with their green cats. I don't know if I missed it, but are you still not tuned running the long tube headers? And if so, how do you keep from getting a check engine light cell? I know some sites claim that the kooks with the green cats you can run without a tune. If I was you I would start working on if you haven't all yet the IRS bushings to really put the power down. My 19 GT PP1 10speed has every suspension mod steeda's silver bullet has, corsa catback, rear seat delete and steeda trident wheels. Best time to date 11.23 @124 no tune.
Damn that thing was cooking! 🤯 I'm not sure about the 550s, seeing as their MAF based as the 650s are speed density. Which shouldn't really matter as far as tuning goes. As long as you don't change air flow across the MAF, you should be fine with green cats. I personally added downstream o2 foulerz to mine just for reassurance to keep the light off.
Yep she moves well. Did forget to mention I put her on a diet as well. I have a carbon fiber hood, carbon fiber trunk, tubular K member and QA1 drive shaft, the Steeda Trident Wheels shredded 15 lb off each corner. I didn't realize the s650 was speed density. I agree it shouldn't matter with doing long tubes especially if I also install the O2 foolers. It's really killing me not to do the Lund e85 tune. But I'm trying to retain my warranty on most things LOL. Also trying to see how fast I can get the car to go stock tune. I'm hoping with the kooks I might crack high 10s.
@@stowesperformance can you link where you bought the foolers? im looking to get some myself. any issues on your upstream o2 sensors? mine gave out shortly after installing longtube headers and caused my air/fuel ratio to mess up and caused misfiring
@njbaeza123 I'll see if I can find it, I got them from big daddy's garage. The 650 is speed density, so the afrs adjust to the headers. Obviously, a tune would definitely make optimal power, but Fords got the adaptive learning pretty good
Can't Go Wrong with Kooks Long Tube Headers, Steeda's Silver Bullet 2.0 has them on! What's next on your build? Also have you removed the carbon traps from your air intakes?
@careydiez3031 2,400 with the high flow cats. no, sir, no lights (however) you will need o2 foolers on the downstream o2s to keep the light off. I just filmed a new video today that will drop on wendsday to show that. And you won't wanna miss it the sound this girl makes is insane 😈
Car sounds amazing. I have a 19 GT pp1 with Corsa extreme active. I really wanted to put a set of Long tunes on but don't want to have the tune the car. Where do they sale 02 foolers that actually work and keep the check engine light from coming on.
Tuning would most definitely help for sure. How ever the adaptive learning (speed density) helps correct the fuel and timing needing for the "free flowing" exhaust.
Say what you will, bud, but!! My buddy with a 392 whide body charger has already taken the L, so go fact check before sounding ignorant on line buddy🤣🫡🫡
All Mopars are absolutely dogshit. The GT and the 392 have very similar amounts of power, except the gt has a 10 speed and is more lightweight. The mopar is getting gapped. And dont even start talking about a gt500 vs a hellcat. The hellcats lose everytime😂😂
Revving the car with a key fob is so wild to me
I hear ya I wasn't all for it at first, but it has grown on me for sure
The thing is, they all sound the same
"Quiet mode" lol
Lol right!! Lol to be honest it really dose make a huge difference on cold start which is all I really wanted it for lol

Ford hit a home run with the styling
I couldn't agree more

Did you do the H.O catted connection kit or are the factory ones better

@user-bk5ey9ws5g I don't see why it won't hit the 10s if the 650s are in the 10s the 550 should be able to as well in my opinion
Is this just long tubes with the factory active catback or is this a full kooks exhaust?
It is kooks long tubes and high flow cats, with a borla Switch Fire mid pipe and factory active mufflers
an codes thrown after install even though i saw you got it catted?
Nope no codes at all.
@@stowesperformanceno codes is crazy, i would have though for sure you would get aome p0430 codes or o2 sensor codes

Absolutely! And yessir there removed as well. As far as a next build I haven't put one in line as of yet, but there definitely will be one for sure!
@@stowesperformance you notice a difference removing the carbon traps?
@richardchavez1773 ehh not really mpg went up .6 lol
did you have issues getting the passenger side motor mount bolts out?
Na not to bad, getting around the a/c compressor was a bit of a bitch! Lol
much performance changes?
In my opinion, I definitely feel more down low tq. I'd say the ol butt dyno is a solid 470ish wheel

Does Ls1 headers/exhaust manifolds fit Ls7/Lsx454 cylinder heads
