I think Dumbledore’s bag was probably filled with lemon drops. He seemed to have quite an affinity for candy, and it would be just like Dumbledore for you to expect something really amazing in his bag, only to find that it’s lemon drops.
yes!! or those licorice snaps!
And some crochet
Haha I love this
Yes so true!!
Heyyy… lemon drops ARE amazing, though!! Lol 🤣
I wish there was a McGonagall. Would love to see her she is my favorite character. But I love seeing these every time you show them off!
They also made Ron's robes short, like they're a hand me down and don't fit quite right.
Incredible detail, right?! 🤩
I love the fact that Ron's robe is shorter than Harry's or Hermione's, since he was tall for his age and used second hand everything (even pets 😅)
"You know there's something special in Dumbledore's bag"
Me: Sherbet Lemons
"He glides..."🤣I literally laughed out loud. You moved him so smoothly across the table.
I love vintage HP merchandise the most. It was more magical. Also, Hermione's figure would have looked lovely!
Yes, it certainly did seem more magical!
I bought the Ron Maquette from your most recent Potter Collector sale and I love him! He’s my favorite piece in my HP collection! And because he’s book accurate makes him more amazing!
Had that in my cart as well in the first minute but couldn’t get past PayPal despite multiple attempts.
That Hagrid maquette is right where it’s supposed to be, in the Potter Collector library 😌 I really really hope J.K. Rowling knows about your collection and all of the effort you have put in to collect all of these amazing things. You make us all Harry Potter fans really happy with your amazing content!
My favorite is the snape one. I love how he would fit in with the hotel Transylvania crew or the munsters.
His green color is unique and scary looking while also being approachable at the same time.
I like seeing book accurate representations. You don’t see that a lot.
Maybe if they see there is still a market for them, maybe WB may try this collection again.
My favorite is Snape. He just looks just like I would have pictured him before seeing the movies. Harry and Hagrid are probably my next favorites. I'm glad you have them in your collection.
These are really nice and I love that they're pre-movie, so book accurate and not influenced by the films. I think the Dumbledore is my favorite - love that purple color and the details. It's a shame that the Hagrid ones are so fragile as it's an otherwise beautiful piece!
If I were to create a Harry Potter TV series, I'd go back to this cartoon style. This was for some of us the first contact with the Wizarding World after the books. Thank you for bringing this collection Peter 👏🏼👏🏼🥰
They are incredibly accurate! Just imagine the hard work designing these statues without any inspiration from the movies!
Hagrid looks stunning, i wish they make Dobby too.
5:53 The only minor gripe I have with this Maquette is that Snape lacks the beard he's described as having in the books and even seen with in the Mary Grandpre artwork for his debut chapter in the first novel.
I love these! I'd never seen them before and I love that they're modeled after just the books. Because of that, the art style for these is unlike anything I've seen for HP figures before and I love it!
I’ve lately been trying to collect different versions of the Harry Potter books and just extra merchandise so it’s good to get advice on what to get and just have fun watching your videos in the process!! Thanks for the great videos!!
I’ve been waiting for this video since I watched your room tour, you always find the best everything!! Thank you Peter for making such a detailed video for us.I love waking up and seeing a new video from the Potter Collector Chanel, it always sets me up for a great day
I think it’s so interesting that for dumbledore looks exactly as you picture him from the books, but it’s crazy how similar Richard Harris looks to that image of dumbledore
This is amazing and fascinating. Thank you for informing us about all this. I had no idea these ever existed
It's good to see Harry Potter collectables before the movies took over! 📖
Agreed!
100% Agree! Brings all them good vibes to those who read the books before the movies were released :)
The premovie merchandise always fills me with joy. I had a friend who passed away before the movie merchandise came out and he loved Harry potter
What an awesome video. I love that Hagrid is rocking a Gryffindor scarf. Your knowledge of HP collectables never fails to impress me!
This is so lovely. This reminds me of what I believe my mental visions of the characters used to be before the movies were released. Gosh, thanks so much
Wow this is so neat l love seeing items created from the books- you have the No. 1 Hagrid!! Also the Hermione prototype is pretty cool, the books are beautiful
Holy mother of pearl I cant believe you finnaly made a video of this! And finnaly your Warner Bros. Maquette Collection is complete! Keep it up!
These are sooooo thrilling!!! I love the pre-movie merchandise just bc they're book detailed only. These are just everything! Dumbledore is brilliant & goooooo Hagrid!!!!!! I'm in love w this video, thank you for it!
I LOVE them all! This seriously brings me back to my childhood after I read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone for the first time.
Prior to the movies when this version of HP was “the face” you saw on the bookstore HP sections :) TY for sharing 💚🐍
Love the videos featuring these machetes. Thanks for the in depth information. Such a great collection. My guess is that Dumbledore’s pouch contains sherbet lemons.
I love pre-movie collectables, I've got quite a few of the Enesco pieces, they are some of my faves.
i still got a rare Harry Potter Uno cards that made in 2000 and got pictures of scenes from the books
Hi Peter! I love your video today! Thank you for sharing your WB store maquette statues collection! My favorite is Dumbledore and Hagrid!
These are beautiful! Hagrid is my favorite. Hagrid and Sirius are my favorite characters. I also have a special place in my heart for Molly and Dumbledore. Love that they are pre-movie.
I first thought that Dumbledore had something special and unique in his little bag. Then I thought, it's probably something completely unexpected like candy. 😂
Sherbet Lemon!!
@@sammihuber9735 yes! Lol
Literally sat tidying my potter collection and watching your mystery wand unboxings. Now that’s magic!
I have just dusted my own 2001 Hagrid mini figure/ story scope. He looks a lot like this maquette but is holding Norbert.
I came across a Harry one on Ebay last year, I threw my gallons faster than you can say "Nimbus 2000!" These figures are amazing, wish I can collect them all!
These are amazing. I do like the pre-movie merchandise and I have a few items from the early 2000's period. They liked to use the grey cobblestone bases and packaging with the yellow/orange/brown brick walls. This set is really amazing and Hagrid looks awesome. He looks massive just like the books described him. The movies did a good job making him seem extremely big too but when WB made items of him they made him a bit bigger. The prototypes are really cool. I do hope you are able to get the painted one to complete your collection.
Awesome video and collection I didn’t even know they existed I’m learning a lot and enjoying everything 😊
idk man
Dumbledore's bag prolly just full of his favorite candy that week XD
Also you could find a crafty friend to make a mold of your prototype and then cast it and then you could paint the replica
First, I know that no one will care, but WAY (way) back in the day, I worked for many years for the (now defunct) Warner Bros. Studio Stores. I remember when it was announced (to us) that Warner Bros had acquired the rights to the Harry Potter books to make the films, and I think(?) at the time they were up to book 3 already. The stores actually required employees to read (at least) the first book, and they even provided copies of the first book to the stores as a mini lending library for anyone that maybe didn't want to buy a copy, so that all employees would be fully versed on the characters and stories (remember at this time no movies had come out yet). The very first merchandise that started to be sold through the studio stores, all featured original artwork with the characters looking much like these figures in the videos. Of course no one knew yet who was going to be cast in the films, so the merchandise had a very cartoonish look based off the descriptions in the books. In hind site it's interesting how Chris Columbus and the film makers used a lot of this artwork for inspiration for what the film and characters would look like. I ended up leaving the WBSS for a different job a few months after the Harry Potter merch began to hit the shelves. Lucky for me, it was a good thing, because in less than a year after I left, thanks to the Time Warner/AOL merger, ALL the studio stores would be permanently closed. Does anyone even remember what AOL was?? Seems a little ironic that they killed the stores and now they're dead.
The prototype of Hermione for me is kinda like she's in her petrified state.."like stone" (so the gray color would represent the lifelessness when you get petrified). Just another way to look at it, cuz out of the 6 characters in the collection..she's the only one who ever got petrified 🙂
That's a really good way too look at it
@@theoutsiderjess4869 Thank you ✨
That Hermione is amazing. I love this collection.
Pre-movie merch is still the best 😍
Beautiful items I never even knew existed before watching this channel. Thank you.
Great set, Peter. Good luck on your quest on finding painted Hermionie .
Amazing collection, that Hagrid though. The Fragility and the fact that it's number 1. I would have that thing secured behind so much glass lol
Love these!!! What number was the other Hagrid that you had?
It feels weird to see that these Statues are 22 years old! Attention to detail is stunning. Especially loved the Hagrid Statue.
I love these pre movie versions, i have toys of Harry with this classic T shirt.
Do you have any more pre-movie items? I'd love to see a video comparing them and similar movie versions!
I must apologize. I haven't watched a video of yours in quite a while. I forgot how entertaining your videos are! I am a 53 and a huge Harry Potter fan! I am so glad I found your channel again! As for the Maquettes they are just stunning! And I love that they are book based. Dumbledore is my favorite although I love Ron's hair! Thank you for sharing!
Great video!
So interesting ❣️❤️❤️Thank you❣️❤️❣️
Loved this video, ❤. Hargid is definately my favorite. Do you think you have the biggest private collection in the World? I love your videos thank you for all the effort that goes into them ❤
I love how Hagrid is so much more accurately proportioned to the other characters than in the movies ... which makes sense since these figures pre-date the cinematic interpretations lol. Thanks for sharing :)
I had a mini version of the Dumbledor that came with a stone.
there was a WB store near where i grew up, managed to get some pre movie merch and other stuff, like the slime chamber play set
I can't wait to finally find one of these!
I love them and wish they would redo them, as Pre-Movie!.... Great collection!
I love these. Snapes skin kinda makes him look dead or zombieish lol that made me laugh. But these are very cool.
They look how you imagine from the books, I love that. Hagrid and Dumbledore are my favourites.
These figures are awesome. All of them are so well done.
#1 Hagrid. Outstanding!
Those are so amazing!
Love this Ron. 🧡🧡🧡
Wowww! I use to love the pre movie merch, I hope one day I can get some of these
At this point, should we still him Scabbers, since well know it's Peter Pettigrew? lol
i also love that they are book based, I really love this set, I never knew they existed until this video. If I was to pick a favorite it would be a cross between Dumbledore, Snape or Hagrid.
Dumbledore’s pocket bag is filled with candy of course 🍋 But he wants us to believe that there is something very magical and important!
Hey Peter . This collection is very good
I absolutely LOVE book based merch!! Nostalgia!
Wow!! I was secretly hoping you had the #1 Hagrid when you said "Hagrid was the rarest of them all and only about 25 were ever sold." and YOU DO!!!! That's freaking AMAZING!!!! I can't wait to see what other cool pieces you have! Do you have any advice on a good Harry Potter collector's guide? If so, that would be great! Take care and of course, Keep Collecting!!!
Ron's design was also used EXACTLY for the 2001 Christmas tree ornaments. I have all of those except Snape, which I didn't buy at the time because I hated Snape, but now I think I'll see if I can get one to finish the set off.
Only one I’ve got is Harry. No 434. I tried buying the German Ron and Hermione during your last sale, but internet overload at checkout.
These maquettes are so beautifully crafted and the detail is divine on each of them. I love the Hagrid one as well as the Harry Potter one. Its a shame the hermione Maquette wasn't finished and they never got to complete the set. Its very well executed as per book merchandise.
These are so cool. I think Dumbledore has a sherbet lemons in that little bag/pouch he’s carrying! 😉
I have (had?) the Ron, Harry, and Hagrid ones! Hadn't realized how rare they were. I hope my family still kept them at home...
Love these book acurate merch more!!😊 Ron is my favorite
Hagrid is just magnificent! Such a fun piece 😃
So cool wish i had one!!😮
Snape looking like Dracula
amazing video
Uau🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩😍😍😍😍😍 so cute your colection! I love Professor Snape and Hagrid💚❤💥💥💥Thanks to share,Peter!
I loved the pre movie merchandise, they were so magical as a kid. My mom gave me a pre movie Hagrid collectible where he was holding Headwig in her cage.
The way he looked at Hagrid was with so much love… 😍
I have a bunchhh of vintage hp stuff from this era and no idea how much any of it is worth so this is very useful haha
I have the exact same dumbledore with the same pose and colours but he's a bit smaller and is standing on some books and is also a flashlight!!!
Took my kids to see Philosophers Stone this morning in theatre. Family features $3 per person. Great time.
this are so cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thx for showin us this pete dumbledore is crazy!!!!
Would love to have a video of your pin collection
Peter! I have something similar of these! I found it at the flea market, it’s the one with Harry and Ron on broomsticks, catching the flying keys.
You were making me nervous when you picked up Hagrid. 😁
Will you be doing a collectible tour anytime soon? I see all of the stuff coming in on your UA-cam channel, but I can't imagine where you must keep it all.
Not me just staring at all those Harry Potter books in the background 😂
You should have said “Harry, yer a wizard” 😂
OMG. Todas son hermosas. Q suerte q pudiste conseguirlas. Tienen tantos detalles. Gracias por compartir 😊. Saludos desde Puerto Rico ❤
I honestly think pre film merchandise is way more special then post film. Maybe I'm antique, but I would love to have Hagrid on my bookcase. Thanks for sharing Peter!
I love your videos
As book accurate as they are I’d still love Snape’s figure regardless. It amazing how detailed they all are. 🙂
That’s all before the movies? Awesome casting!
