Привет. Спасибо за такой подробный обзор. Удачи.
спасибо за просмотр видео.
Hello there. First of all, thanks a lot for your great videos! I really do appreciate.
I'd like to ask you for your opinion. I've been stripping my TDM 900A down to get under valve cover an check clearance. I've bought the bike last year with around 55 thousand kilometers mileage and wanted to know how it is. I bet it hasn't been done yet. Exhaust valves are all 0.25, but intake on 5 of 6 I can't get 0.15 in, just one is fine 0.15. I have step by 0.05 and 0.10 are loose in. Do you think it worth to get into it and do the shim change to get 0.15 or let it be as is for some mileage? The engine seems thoroughly good including timing chain tension, so I'm not sure. Also it's still a bit colder outside, I have 10-11 degrees of Celsius in my garage if it would matter..
In most cases I would adhere to the valve clearance values set by the manufacturer. If you like how your bike rides and behaves it is entirely up to you to decide wether to adjust the clearance or not.
I hope this helps! Thank you for watching buddy
@@TheGarage2018 Thank you. I finaly decided to postpone it. I also asked an ex-moto mechanic for his opinion, he said if the chain tensioner is not much protruded, he'd let it be for another few 10 thousands and make it with the chain replacement. As earlier TDM900s had issues with the tensioner, mine 08 is still quite firm, so I just flushed cooling system and changed spark plugs, air filter and oil. Speaking of oil, I suppose you used Hiflo filter ass well, I'm a bit disappointed that there's no new rubber o rings in the package, do you know if some other manufacturer puts them into the package? And my filter cover lacks the small metal tube you mentioned in oil change video, I hope it's not that big of a deal..
