Her public profile is less than it used to be because she is no longer capable of performing. Her conservatorship served the purpose of keeping her out of the media but Britney herself has put herself back in the public eye via her daily instagram dancing posts. I believe her conservatorship served the purpose of keeping her dignity intact.

In 2007 when she was kidnapped and forced into being a slave so people could steal her wealth, she was not mentally challenged, she had postpartum depression, media would not let up. Her babies were stolen off her on the word of a drug addict, Ferderline, and his corrupt lawyer, with the help of her parents and Lou Taylor, who was the mastermind behind the conservatorship. She did not want to work. She wanted to raise her babies. That did not sit well with all the thieves, TMZ has a lot to answer for, as they tell so many lies, and the rest of main stream media just follows through as if it's gospel!

The woman has bipolar disorder. Stop making excuses for her outbursts. Living with people who have bipolar disorder is very difficult. She needs treatment not excuses. She does not take her prescribed meds but medicates herself with alcohol and possibly drugs which make her condition worse. This is very common in victims of bipolar. Sometimes it takes 7-8 hospitalizations and psychotic breakdowns before they get the message that they feel better if they take their medications regularly. Bipolar victims do not like to take medication because they like the “high” they feel when they are manic.

The way this woman has been treated since about 16 years old until now, hounded, used, abused, is absolutely disgusting. I unfortunately have years of experience in the world of trying to help family with severe brain disorders, and it's very frightening, painful and difficult trying to manage the unmanageable. This is why her family has decided the boys can't live with her - for their mental and emotional well being. These are the very type of agonizing decisions families of the brain disordered are forced to make - not wanting to, but have to.

Mental illness is very real and the behavior is debilitating. They need to be controlled because they can't control themselves.

The conservatorship should never have been dissolved. We are seeing similar conditions in her life that brought about the conservatorship to begin with. She's clearly not mentally stable and now, off meds. Her father could have been replaced, but the restrictions he put on her were for her own good. She would have NO fortune now without the conservatorship. Left to her own choices, she gets used & ripped off at every turn. It's sad and, unfortunately, will be a tragic ending without intervention. 😔

I feel compassion for her. The poor woman needs help. I am Team Britney all the way. She was sexually abused from a very young age. Instead of being allowed to get therapy and recover, she was financially abused, exploited for her talent, institutionalized, and her kids were taken from her.
Unfortunately there has been no shortage of men who are lined up to abuse her more, and take the rest of her money. A sad life, but she continues to be a truthful, loving, forgiving person. She is mentally ill, that is her condition. But she is a winner in my book, even if the world considers her a loser.

Kinsey ... I usually agree with you, but not this time. Don't blame the men in Britney's life for her own behavior. Bipolar disorder is a very serious illness, and you appear to have had little encounter with those who are mentally impaired. Brain disorders cause reckless, mindless behavior, and it is absolutely devastating ... not only for the patient, but for their family. There are no words for the destruction it causes, and it grieves me to hear inexperienced commentators defend someone whose own behavior wreaks havoc in both their and their loved ones' lives. I've had many horrible experiences with two different mentally ill family members over the last 40 years. I've also gone to many support groups and read every book ... enough to know unequivocally, that Britney's father was forced to do a conservatorship, because people with severe brain disorders cannot safely run their own lives - financially or otherwise.
Her dad definitely was taking all her money. They wouldn’t even let her get sushi, they would tell her she couldn’t afford it. Sam was clearly an opportunist. She wasn’t allowed to have friends or boyfriend but he was somehow allowed to date her? He never offered to get her help on her behalf, like when she said she didn’t know she could get another lawyer. He obviously wasn’t trying to make calls about her situation to anyone for her. But once the ball was rolling spoke to tmz about how horrible her dad was, once a group of fans did the work for him and brought her situation to light. He was just a random guy they hired to be in a music video who saw a paycheck and a way to get famous and lied about being a former cop.
Kevin seemed like a stand up guy to me but I don’t know why everyone hates him. I also didn’t start paying attention until shortly before the Free Britney Movement started as I too started becoming suspicious of the weird pictures )like Sam and Britney could be in the same place and his pictures were clear and perfect and hers always looked like they were taken with a flip phone. She needs a conservatorship but one that doesn’t make her completely vulnerable to her abuser. If we find her father was S abusing her I would not be the least surprised.
This has always been my problem with the "free Britney" crowd. Back then I didn't know enough about Britney herself to judge if one was needed, but supporters appeared to tar ALL conservatorships with the same brush. There is a complete lack of understanding of mental illness if you think they are not needed sometimes.
Their solution is to "leave Britney alone". Well, maybe THEY should have left her alone. Maybe leaving everyone alone just leads to a higher homeless population and isn't actually very humane. Well, that is the typical American definition of "freedom" I suppose.

Sam would take pictures and his were perfect and clear but he would be filming her or taking pictures of her and they were fuzzy like they were in a flip phone. Despite them being in the same location.
He would also tell her “smile” and to give him a kiss but through gritted teeth and really quite like we wouldn’t notice? and one time she went live and was filming herself and he was in the car and he saw it and snatched her phone out of her had.
I think it’s good she was in a conservatorship but unfortunately her conservator was also her abuser, her dad. And somehow Sam was connected but I don’t know how….
She even asked the judge at one time to keep the conservatorship but just let someone else be in charge.
If something came out that he was “Sec”. abusing her I would not be surprised. When her costumes went from colorful to basically lace underwear… that was when he took over and she had no say whatsoever. He was so controlling people came out and said she’d ask to have sushi for dinner and he would say they could not afford it. She had no money at all. One of her assistants said early on they went to a Sketchers store and Britney saw shoes she liked but she wasn’t allowed to buy them only look. Her assistant felt bad and went back and got them for her with her own money. These are people who spoke out in the documentaries.
Even that one lady that was her chaperone from day 1 that she loved… they changed her job so that Britney never had contact with her. She bumped into her on tour and Britney ran up and hugged her. They told Britney she had quit. I think her dad was doing very bad things and maybe was afraid she’d speak out about abuse. People were hired to put camera in her room and mirror her phone. You can see in the docs she’s sitting on a couch texting and he demands her phone and tells her to get off it. This was when she was still touring before she got really bad. Plus she’s grown why can’t she text? She didn’t have anything to do at the moment. She refuses to give it to him. It’s scary. She needs support but they basically put her in the lions den making him her conservator. I honestly think had she been put in a conservatorship where she wasn’t suffering at the hands of her abuser she would have been able to thrive and get back on track.

lets face the facts. no person likes to take meds that "numbs" nor "calms" them. they think the manic episodes, the voices, are the only things that are normal to them. they think the genius in them come from those episodes. clearly she is in crisis and her father was the only one willing to do what she needed. apparently dad did not milk her, as a father he was doing all he could to help his mentally deranged daughter. she does better with structure with her meds but, she does not like how the meds make her feel....oh, like keeping her out of police custody! give me a break, she needs 24/7 custodial supervision. she will never get better on her own.
he has been an on and off alcoholic for years..and years and you think that he should have been a conservator..lol come on. Her father did terrible things..do you get that the conservatorship was voluntary? why do you think she didn't get out of it... because she was threatened about her kids..that's not even legal to threaten someone. Also it destroyed the family so obviously that wasn't the right choice and why would you work a mentally deranged person on constant tours and in Vegas...a person with half a brain wouldn't do that to someone mentally deranged as you say..by the way...that is gross calling someone that might have mental illness deranged ... no wonder there is such a stigma with mental illness. You obviously don't even understand how conservatorships work... again why do you think it was voluntary ? scary how some people think it's so easy to take someone's freedom from them...

She's obviously scarred from that I believe that she has legit mental health issues that are not being treated right thanks to her father.
She says she sees a therapist 6 she has public wIId behavior. So how do you help this poor soul?
She had mental health issues before the conservatorship. The conservatorship didn’t give her those issues; it gave her 10+ years to recuperate and get back on track. The Britney that we’re seeing is Britney when she’s unmedicated and left to her own devices.
I don't appreciate him calling her videos "mad". It's probably good for her mentally. Exercise without the pap if she was to go for a run or a walk.

I admire Britany Spears for having survived her family. How sad to be abused by her own family. She can't trust her father, her sister, etc. How sad that a person is drugged so that they can steal her money. Always discrediting her because she is a woman.
None of that is true. If it was, her family would be in jail and she wouldn’t have paid for her father’s legal fees. She would have won her case with no dispute. She got out of the conservatorship without having to do a mental health assessment because the loophole was that she entered the conservatorship voluntarily. If there was an assessment, then surely she would still be in it. I am sure Judge Penny is regretting her decision to let Britney loose.

You seem to think that you have the right and the knowledge to state that a person should be in a conservatorship in such a careless and irresponsible way. What you are stating is that in your opinion you can remove the freedom of a person, imprison the person, drug her at your pleasure and steal her money while destroying not only her life but her health both physically and mentally because essentially you are a nasty, stupid, ignorant and deluded person. I imagine that you wouldn't apply the same opinion and logic to yourself, or would you? You interpretation of the conclusion of her trial is both skewed and foolish. As if we didn't know that Justice is many times corrupted, manipulated, unfair and many times disappointing.
